It specifically stated that this was the chosen color palette of the client and she went to the right place for the light, bright but still layered and cosy look! Beautiful.
I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily boring. This is their signature look, for one thing. But also, boring would be lack of colour AND lack of depth. While this home reads very neutral, there is a ton of layering, texture and textile mixing, loads of variety of materials, and yet a pleasing cohesion with placement and appropriate repetition. That’s incredibly tricky to execute when you can’t rely on colour contrast.
I agree! If anything I think clients go to Studio McGee for precisely their aesthetic. The way Shea layers textiles snd textures and even different shades of the same color is absolutely beautiful. It’s also not easy. Their look is understated luxury which I love
I miss some excitement. It just reads "flat showroom pretty" to me

I love the classic style, & airy feel to this design! Trends are fun but you can never go wrong with "classic." The "moody" rooms are lovely to look at, but I could never do in my home, it depresses me. This home brings old charm with a new feel, it screams cozy, family, & welcome but without losing an ounce of sophistication!

Excellent house , I love houses like these however I have two bits of feedback, 1 to complete the classic look in the hall I would finish the runner on the stairs with stair rods in chrome or brass secondly I would have removed the blinds throughout the house on the larger windows and replace with shutters.

In my opinion Shae Mcgee & Amber Lewis have similar style but I'll go for studioMcgee's I like generous designers whos not selfsh on giving tips those who cannot afford interior designers Plus S.Mcgee gives different & new styles.

I just want to know how much was this home/renovation?! Multi millions?! Just curious. This is like the new lifestyles of the rich. That was my show growing up. This is so calm, layered, interesting and yet neutral I love it.

Le Petit Studio McGee Family Home? Love a jib door! The white-but-not-white kitchen is elegant and timeless (an English-style work table island with legs would've been chic!) but the house's rather bland front facade 0:16 could use more depth, color and textural variation!

Beautiful but the kitchen design is terrible. The fridge is on the other side of the room.
So many of the houses are the same ... I saw the title for this one & thought ... its gotta have some character ... sadly know, I was horrified to see they took the original arched hall detail with the same look they do in everything .. I'd never hire a company that can't do different looks ...
I wish they didn’t choose that grey quartz because it looks cheap from a distance and because there’s no veins or depth it makes the kitchen look very bland and flat.
Shea, this is lovely. A perfect cape cod style. If I had one major suggestion it would be strike the word moment from your vocabulary and expand your language skills. It’s a trendy word and turns me off.

One would feel lucky to actually be able to live in such a classic elegant house. That is the problem with the internet nowadays. It feeds the illness of overconsumption and conditions us to wanting more, more, more, different, new and so on without ever feeling satisfied.
This is really bland and boring. There has to be an evolution to the designs
or you're just following the wrong designer.
