- 2018 GHYC Dragon Derby Day 2 Race . A very shifty & gusty day. A reaching start and a congested windward gate!
We were leading for a while after cutting inside at the windward gate, but we floundered during one tack and it took a while to recover and get underway again :-(

I miss the old Dragon Derby in Glandore. Either racing in it, or sitting outside the Inn watching it with a cool pint of Murphy's, it was always a fantastic time. Thanks for uploading the video!

Agreed. I was at first thinking: wtf are they doing, but that was quite thought-through. Upwind main trim doesn't look right to me, though, lots of rudder correction.

Why did you take down the spinnaker so early?
Hi, we took down the spinnaker early as I wanted to slow down so I could cut inside the mark.
When do we see more!
Hi Willem, thanks for watching my videos! There is limited footage this season as I was dismasted and ashore for the majority of the season. I did get some 360 footage at the end, so will edit & post when circumstances allow. Hopefully more footage next year!
When will you keel the mast and headsails to see real sailing speed?????

Class rules for the Dragon class has a winds speed limit of 25 knots. Can't reef ya see. :-)
