Probably the most indepth guide of how to build wide gaps and peak downs attached to externals this is awesome I wish I could find something like this when I first got rust I've had to learn most of these techniques the hard way from trial and error but cutos to you man awesome guide you've made 🤯😎
China walls would be a great video to do because it’s hard to add a china to many footprints. A different option would be mountain roofs attached to different footprints like the example here. Great video love your content
i’ve watched hundreds of rust building videos looking for one like this. nothing crazy just lots of different ideas and ways of doing basic building functions. this was perfect man, and all the time and detail you put in was incredible, i appreciate the work! you could’ve gone the easy way, but you didn’t so thanks!
Bruh, you really didnt have to do all this. You could have given a simple explainer and left us to figure it out. But you didn’t. You literally showed how to do this on every footprint imaginable. F*cking chad! This is amazing thank you! Awesome video!
its annoying i type in 3x3 wide gap and this is the stuff youtube bloody puts on my search feed, simplicity wouldn’t be to much of an ask lol, this is why ark building will always be better
This is probably the greatest rust building video because of its sheer versatility making the builder able to follow with their own base as long as they have these footprints
I cannot put into words how helpfull this is, i've been trying new designs and the biggest strugle is a good shooting floor on weird/uncommon footprints, this video will bring unvaluable tools to my building arsenal. TYSM!
Now that's how you do it! That surely was a lot of work. It was an enjoyable experience watching that little clatter helmet guy running all over the place in 2x speed. Congratulations. Keep it up! ☺
I was in your discord asking for help about this the other day now you made the most detailed video about how to do it on every style base... your a legend!!
what a video! I really like learning the theory behind designing new builds and without a proper manual a lot of examples are super useful! when it comes to design bases the hardest thing for me is building the right shell that perfectly seal the base on top, I've wasted so many hours trying shapes and destroying them 😂 I don't think I've ever seen a video that covers creating custom shells
I have a humble base and I wanted to add wide gaps for so long but I wasn't finding the right way to do it. Now my base is fire thanks to your video! ♥
Would you consider making a video about all footprints that fit inside of a different footprint? Not talking wide gap but where the outer footprint is completely connected to itself. I always find it hard to come up with such designs and remember all the possibilities. Like 2×2 that is surrounded by a circular footprint where you wouldn't expect the 2*2 to be inside of etc. I think such a video would be very helpful, although a niche...
Nice tutorial, but I do not understand when I need to attach the foundations , and which shape of foundations should I use. For example 2:36 u didn't attach but in 2:25 and 3:00 you attached etc. ( as I said, there are still different shapes sometimes). Is there a pattern to build this without having any prior knowledge about footprint?
So the idea is to create some kind of square shaped space? I noticed I didn't see any triangle shaped spaces so I was wondering if it's practical to use triangles, or is this inefficient?
Im sorry, what exactly is the difference between the 2 square and 3 square buildouts? I mean, you said use 3 when base is more irregular, but what makes one kind better than the other? Thanks!
Planned to make this 2 years ago but never got round to it. So here it is...finally.
What building tech should I cover next?
how to add sneaky bunkers hard to spot by raiders

@@horaci0you can easily do that with any base just making a entrance with two raised foundations in the core
@@4Ganja2Man0 yeah i know that bunker but i meant like separated, non splashable loot room bunkers hidden into any footprint

@@DingoDmanwide gaps for a 3x3 are easy lol you’ve got a skill issue
@@Sphyx- maybe so but still an easy video would be nice
@@DingoDman check the first part of the video where it’s says 2 or 3 squares. And then follow your base design man
My footprint wasn't in the vid lol I'm just winging it now😅

No one has made such an in-depth and informative video on widegaps before. Very cool man. Great job. You're the goated builder of rust.

i always was unsure how to expand properly, this helps heaps!
So glad I found Crow when I did. Even if I don't use your bases, I implement things from your builds. Keep up the 🔥
this probably one of the best rust building technique videos that can be watched whether you are newb or veteran
Lovely and simple guide. Nice vid!
Gonna send this to my pvp focused teammates so they can actually learn to widegap! Thank you Crow!
This is by far one of the most useful build videos I have ever seen… holy cow dude… thanks!
The solution to my building pains!
Been waiting for something like this! You didn't have to do this but you did and you're a legend for it! THANK YOU!

Super helpful video for people learning to build bases. Thank you so much! Rust building scene needed this type of video for long time❤
This is awesome! Really great POV for the layouts and super clean builds all around, thanks for the amazing tutorial.
Very helpful crow this is awesome as a experienced builder I can tell you I still learned from this video 🎉
Good work on the video man really will help those new players out there seeking a willjum experience
all i was looking for, thanks a lot
Definitely saving this for future reference. Thanks for another great, informative video
Damm just finished seems like when I get to play again in the future I’ll be able to make my own base rather then trying a YT base thanks.
8:35 didn't expect to learn something new from a wide gap tutorial
You’re my inspiration to be a better builder
Great content love the information it's priceless keep up the hard work
Great video Crow! Love the new logo too.
This is the most legendary wide gap video ever! Helped me figure out why my wide gaps were all different sized gaps. 😂🤣
Bro is a legend for this
Class video! Will help new builders so much
is this like building god or what
This is exactly what I’ve been looking for
this tips and tutorials are very important
This is a guide ive been searching for
Another crow banger
best rust build vid of 2024
Gotta love the 6am Sunday bangers from Crow!
It's midday here XD
You are the best. I love your videos Crow. ❤
sadly i can press the like button only once. i love you so much for this one
great vid! please consider making a guide on shells as Imo they are harder to come up with while wide gaps you can just go by trial and error.
Not sure what you mean by shells? They're not really used these days unless you're a large group. A wide gap shell is Better
You go above and beyond Crow !
I looked for videos like this for so long 😭 I only free build bases so I can finally have wide gaps that work with the bases I pick
All the question marks in my mind while doing wide gap were eliminated in this video. Thanks Crows!
Crazy helpful vid crow thanks

That method of building is kinda old fashioned now unfortunately
@@CrowRust That is true! proably of little use currently
i need a video like this for funnels would be nice to know how to properly build funnels too
For a funnel gap do you not just build out 5 squares instead of 3?
gawd damn i wonder if i can do that one day my self. without checking for some yt base to get those badass gaps.
excellent work,my congratulations
Crow can we get a new 6-8man base
Fabergé is new
That deserves a sub
Now I can do wide gaps on crazy ass honeycombed bases thanks
Спасибо большое за данный гайд, за 2 тысячи часов оказывается я не знал как строить
really good vid, im gonna go and cook on a build server now

It's just trial and error.
Nice Video 🎉👍🏼
how do u build the base 10:35 it looks good asf
Crazy good video!!!
@CROW when doing widegap how to even know which direction to go after going out 2-3 squares? And how to know which foundation to delete?
Just use one of the footprints shown in the vid man
So the idea is to create some kind of square shaped space? I noticed I didn't see any triangle shaped spaces so I was wondering if it's practical to use triangles, or is this inefficient?
Depends on the footprint
Could i do wide gaps on a base with normal shooting floor no peaks 6 walls to tc and bunch of doors? And pancake layer
But I tried this and the trianges aren't connected so will decay right?
Crow is basically the new Evil Wust
Great video
Fire vid bro

Neither is better, it solely depends on the shape of your base
ty u it helped alot ,
Crew can you do next how to make shells into every disgins 🙏🙏🙏.
Wide Gap shell is best
Perfect👌
Crow ty so much can you make a 6 man base with open core?
I have an open core tutorial out soon, then you can make it 😁
God bless you!

HOW DO I WIDE GAPE THE FLAT PART OF TWO TRIANGLES AGAINST EACH OTHER PLEASSEEEEE!!
Give us humbug V4
Can you do this on a pinwheel base?
If you mean a 1x1 surrounded by triangles and then squares then that's not a good footprint. Suggest using one of the ones in the tutorial
@@CrowRust appreciate it thanks
I LOVE YOU!
Waltzer v2?
Smash it, can you show us pixel gap and bunker to scatter loot around the base instead of one spot

Super simple vanilla 2x1 v2 please

ayy nice
Why did you only explain how to expand one of them and not all
The same principles can be used for all. How long do you want the video to be?
