Thank you guys for the understanding and support. You guys are great to have in my corner for some motivation and it has really helped move me forward in the past so think you. I am hoping in the upcoming weeks things will slow down and I can find more time behind the bench and get some stuff going. I think I have been dragging my feet some getting new stuff going with everything else going on and not wanting to break it up into so many tiny bits and pieces. it also makes it very hard to do the videos like that too. I will get back in my stride soon I hope! I do have a little bit of stuff almost ready to go so the videos should still be coming up regularly. Thanks Fil! I am a bit of a one man band over here taking care of things, although my wife does try and help as much as possible. Spring, work and life have piled up to take away most of the free time and what free time i have has been avoiding doing anything! I do think it will slow down a bit this month and I can get back to the normal level of disorganized chaos I am used to. I have some stuff almost done and I will still be getting videos out, there may be just an occasional one missing. Take care and I hope you guys had a great camping adventure! Oh Addam, you are not alone my friend! There must be something about this time of year or there is something in the water! Struggling here too, a few family crisis's to deal with, health issues and general cr@p to deal with but still bumbling along. I'm lucky to have my pal Rob to knock heads with and keep the RC mojo going with. So cool to see you got those stickers and sweets from Craig and Maddy. Definitely a pleasure to hear Mini on Craig's videos, always makes me smile! Take it easy dude and no sweat, this ain't a job but sure feels like it sometimes. All the best! 😎👊👍

Yeah, I think it is just the time of year I guess, maybe my head and the planets are not aligned right... I have about 12 Uranus jokes to make but I am sure you can see where where I was heading with that LOL!! I am glad you guys have each other to go out and be big kids together. I have Al who is not too far away but between his schedule and mine getting play dates set up can be troublesome! I do need to try and get over there again soon as he is a blast to hang out with. Craig and Mini are great together and I love their videos, she cracks me up too! Same here I have 5 kits now to build my buying is much quicker then my building lately I’m in Connecticut and it just won’t stop raining crazy hopefully it dries out soon take your time to come back you deserve a break for sure you’ll find that one build to get you back on track always happens to me then you’ll build ten more lol
Yeah, time and weather have not wanted to cooperate lately and I think that has been a lot of the funk. By the time it lines up I have any free time and the weather is nice I just want to sit and be quite and still for a while! Working on stuff a little here and there also doesn't help. I think it should slow down some in the next month or so and I will fall back in line and get some stuff done! I do have a couple things lined up between now and then so the videos will keep coming. Yeah, I have no idea how you have been doing it all, working on the house, the track the videos and everything else! It does pile up on you at times and you just have to take a step back and put some things on pause to catch your breath! I do love Craig's videos and when Mini is on them she always cracks me up! @@AddamsPlayground right on brother. I use lean six sigma break it down to single tasks do them on at a time. Then you have hundreds of victories haha. Or that's what I tell myself. And no hurry on the car man that's the least of your tasks it'll happen when it needs to no sooner

Normally the hobby is my escape from stress and work but here lately the time allowed for it I just have not been motivated much to do anything with it. I think part of it is not wanting to start something and not have time to finish it and have to break it into small parts. We are taking it easy as well. Lots more property work, personal and professional trips, and exhaustion from life the past 9+ months.
Once we are recharged and ready there are a few kits in the queue including a Grand Hauler we won at Beat the Creek that Meredith wants to help build.

Thanks Trey! It is a busy time a year for many reasons but having property really does ramp up that to-do list a lot!! I take care of our place and the 3/4 mile private road we live on so there is always something that is needed. Spent time last weekend brush cutting the sides of the road as it was starting to get a bit ragged an over grown looking. I am glad you all are still recovering and getting things sorted. That is way more important than posting videos. I love my hat and try to keep it clean, I leave it down in the hobby area to not take it out and get all dirty and messy like so many of my other ones! LOL! That is awesome you won a grand hauler, that is gorgeous truck to build. It is not hard, just takes time! I am glad the gift box went over well, happy to send it over! Yes, somehow it's unfair the day's only 24 hours and 8 you've to sleep. The key's not to let YT destroy the happiness for the hobby. So many great channels quitted the last weeks and I'm hapoy I'm still subbed. Two came back. You're right about the mojo. And if you need some time for other things, I would still be subbed to your channel and wait.

I am not quitting yet for sure, just needed a breather and I am trying to get back into the saddle. It has just been very busy over the last month and finding time and energy for the hobby and videos has been a struggle. I do feel bad to see of the channels stopping but I do understand it. All this video stuff does take time away from everything else so cutting that out is a easy way to maintain sanity! I am already pretty loco so I am not too worried about that. If I go full crazy then that becomes my kids problem! LOL!
I do love the videos where Craig and Mini are together, she cracks me up! I am looking forward to his race series again this year with some new contenders as well!

Hey Addam I think we all have our ups and downs. With the hobby I only do it when I'm in the mood as there is no point putting together an expensive kit if you aren't enjoying it. It can always wait for another day, as can making a video for RUclips. I don't want it to feel like a job so I just do videos when I feel like it. I'm currently building the Squash Van which I am enjoying. I'm sure you will get your mojo back before long mate 👍👍
Yeah, the hobby funk does come and go. I am sure I will find the spark again, things just need to settle down so I can find some time to devote to it. I am hoping things will slow down next month and I find my way back down to the hobby dungeon a bit more and get some stuff done for fun. I do have a few things almost ready for editing so videos will still be coming over the next few weeks with that. I am thankful for all you guys in the comments, it does help to try and get my rear in gear! Addam sometimes you just got to take it easy, I have three channels I am burnt out with health and other life maters it's hard to do anything these days. Love all the associateds a bit pricy though. I still have to repair my mad van!
Yes, sometimes you need to step back and breath! I have no idea how you juggle 3 channels, I can only imagine the time it takes for all that! This time of year is always busy for most of us and then add on other health and family things (same things here) really find a way to drag everything to a halt. I hope things ease up on you as well! I love the Associated re=re's but yes, they are beating my checking account up more than I prefer. they went from next to never to all of a sudden 3 in 6 months... they need to pace themselves a little better or I am going to be forced to sleep in the hobby dungeon! LOL!

Hi Addam. I think everyone goes through it this time of year. Most have been building all winter and come spring have just had enough and want to be outside soaking up some sun without feeling like they need to drag out equipment to make videos. All my spare time has been working on the track and it is hard to make a video of me raking dirt.
Yeah, spring is always busy and the weather is iffy at best so finding time to do the fun stuff can be hard. The track is looking great BTW. I cannot record me working on my track, you guys would call the paramedics from all the huffing and puffing! LOL! I am sure if you put it on time lapse I would watch you rake out yours though! LOL! I think the funk sneaks in from time to time when life gets busy and the free time for fun is not there. Sometime you just have to step away and find something else to do or even nothing at all! Yeah, the added chore list of spring, work and other stuff has piled up and taken away the fun time enough to make it much less fun! LOL! I am hoping the next month slows down a bit and I can get the motivation back. I am still trying to work on stuff to keep some videos coming. I think the older I get the slower I am at everything so time seems to go by so much faster!
The RC10 re-re's have been rather limited and hard to get. I think there are a few reasons for that... limited supply, unexpected demand, folks trying to get more than one for themselves and of course the scourge of eBay resellers trying to make stupid profits from them. It does kind of sour the experience. That and them releasing 3 kits in 6 months takes a lot out of the wallet! LOL! Not like TT02 kits for $130 or so, $400 a pop starts to sting after a couple...

Hi Al, yes it has been a fight between weather and time to be able to get out and do things. I think I have most of the spring to-do list checked off and I am hoping things simmer down some over the next month. I know you have your hands full as well. Mate I can relate to that one on so many levels especially exhausted no time or energy for rc youtube is a second job we do for love sometimes it has to take a back seat if we don't take that time we will all get burnout then there's no channels or content take care brother 👊
I've been going though some RC funk as well. Been busy with baseball, softball, yard work, gardening, and etc. Just haven't had much time to devote to RC lately. I have some video ideas, just very little time to create anything. I've noticed that many of the RC creators I follow are really slowing down. I think the "pandemic" surge is coming to an end. It will be interesting to see who sticks around. You have a great following and I'm sure your love of RC will keep you going. Being that we all make zero $$ on this hobby...there's nothing wrong with slowing down from time to time or taking a break.
Yeah I have noticed a few channels disappearing and nothing from others for a while. I don't plan on going anywhere, just in a slump! Things have just been erratic and busy lately which really wrecks the flow of anything so when I get a little time I just want to do nothing! I know we all go through it and I hope things slow down to the normal level of chaos and confusion soon so I can get back to my workbench for some fun! It is a vast difference of money in versus money out! sometimes a disturbing amount! LOL! I am trying to pump the brakes on that some too but these cool kits just keep coming out! LOL! I could not pass up on the RC10T, that was a big want when it came out back in the day!! Take care my friend and I hope thing slow up a bit for you as well!

It does seem to be something that comes around from time to time. Weather, time, planets out of alignment with the polar vortex... maybe all of the above! I did get out and just rip one of the beater trucks around today, tore around for a battery and and enjoyed myself. I am working towards getting back into a better mood and getting some stuff done but not trying to rush it. I am sure once things slow down some I will be right back at the bench building and tinkering away! Hopefully all of us in a rut pop back out soon!

Hey Addam, to begin with answering your last question: I am having a blast right now! Great times, lots of RC's, both in the fleet and on the wish list, builds going on, plans, I drive a lot, I am having a great time with the hobby and I am also enjoying the RUclips part of it.
But to relate to you, I did have a couple months of zero video effort, just laying low and waiting for summer, it was a tough one.
I completely understand you, and I've seen it mentioned in videos by others also, like you mentioned. It's "normal", so to speak.
So just take it easy, do stuff at your own pace, build what you feel like, leave in the box what you don't feel like building. You got it, buddy!
One thing I noticed in your video to begin with (apart from you cutting your beard) was the lack of typical Addam enthusiasm, kind of untypical depressing to see. But to my relief, it didn't take long for you to wind yourself up and start rambling, it got the sparkle in the eyes back on you.
So don't you worry, you still got it. 😉
I am glad to hear you are having a great time. You were snowed in for so long I can understand your enthusiasm for being able to get out and have some fun. The funk usually goes away fairly quickly, once I can devote some time to building and driving then I should spring back. I had been sitting there for a while trying to get the gumption to start recording, Once I get going it was much better. I did hack back the beard, some spring pruning i guess. The warm weather and humidity are back so it was time to shrink it a bit. it'll grow back out before the cold comes back! Take care my friend and have a great rest of you week. Good Afternoon Sir! I just wanted to stop in a let you know that I appreciate your effort for the RC community. I too have been in a bit of a funk. Seems like anytime I plan on going out to drive any of my EC's it rains. I also understand the work burnout. Looking forward to your videos to come especially the tractor trailer and the super secret project that you haven't released yet. Also looking forward to your speed run challenge videos that will be coming when Poor Boys releases the challenge later this year.

The rig I am still waiting for the time to devote to it and the other project is one I want to start but need the mojo to get it done! I don't want to fizzle out in the middle of it. The weather and time have not made it easy to find the fun time recently but I am working on it. I think we all hit the wall at times. I know you are like me and usually have 12 things in motion and another 237 in idea form at all time and at some point the rubber band between the ears needs a break! Usually when we get to that point nothing sounds interesting or enjoyable. give it some time and all of a sudden something clicks and we'll be back to full chaos mode in no time! I am thinking over the next month things will turn around and I will be back in the swing of things. Take care my friend and have a great rest of your week!
@AddamsPlayground yeah man! I am more interested in new projects than I am in finishing the ones I already have. I have a "No new hobby projects" rule in effect. Maybe that is why I don't want to work on any current projects because they feel like a punishment. 😉

I know all to well about that “funk” that you speak of man. I think it can happen with any hobby, passion or interest. It’s totally healthy and beneficial to your sanity to take breaks every now and again. For me it was only the “RUclips aspect” that Consumed most of my free time. I still enjoy the hobby for myself and try to support on youtubers when I can, but I don’t spend all my time wrapped up in it like I did. As a matter of fact I am now on my phone 14-17 hrs less per week than I prior to hanging up my channel. Now I am using that freed up time for so many other things including enjoying this Rc Hobby I love. It does feel good to not have to feel like I’m obligated to put out content. I know it’s great to grow the hobby by sharing on the YT platform, but until I can figure out a healthy balance with out feeling so obligated, I will be advocating the hobby from the sidelines when I can. Just glad to see you recognize you need a healthy break once in a while.

I see Craig has been sending out some stickers lately and some gummy candy. He’s a good shit indeed! I love his time trials and the the way he’s including mini OAG on the channel. Great stuff! That sucks regarding the latency on the new models from Tamiya and Team A you are waiting for. I think it’s a good thing you have so many other builds and projects to keep you busy while you wait for those preorders to arrive.
I too plan to sit down and build that car I won from you last fall. I’ve been so eager to build it, but have been trying to repair and upgrading some Rc’s that haven’t seen action in a while first. I wish you the very best brother. You do you. You’ve made quite a name for yourself and many love and support your unique contributions to this hobby. Thank Robby! I know it can be a time suck but I do get a lot back from this. I have all you folks to chat with and I have made great friends from all around the world, something I never expected to do. I think things will slow down a bit soon for me and I can get back to my normal level of chaos I enjoy! It has just been a bit much lately. I did hack the beard back and it was on purpose. it had gotten a little too long and with all the work out side it became annoying. The shorter length will hang around for a bit then I will let it do its thing and get long again. Consider it spring pruning! LOL!!
The fear of missing out is a thing I do have to control a lot of the time. I see some thing new and cool and then I start obsessing over it and I have to make the decision of is it worth it. Surprisingly I do turn my self down to urges all the time, I do have self control even though the wall of cars and trucks tend to say otherwise!! LOL!
Balance is hard to maintain but I try and keep it to an acceptable level of insanity and confusion, there will be time for that stuff later on when i am going insane and I am always confused, my time is coming! That will be my kid's problem!

I can relate. I went through the exact same thing at the beginning of the year. Just lost my motivation to do much in the hobby. Making RUclips videos especially went from something I enjoyed doing to something that felt like extra work I didn’t need.

I am pleased I got some content done when I had the chance as the last few weeks have been really tough. Thanks Rick! I do need on of those teenager days where I spend most of the day in the bed and the rest going from the couch to the kitchen! LOL! I think it is just the frustration of not being able to spend the time I want to on things so there is no motivation to start anything. This time of year tends to be rather busy and then the weather changes every few hours it seems! That can easily make the hobby take a bit of a back seat for a while. i am hoping things will simmer down soon and I can spend a bit more time doing the fun stuff! I hope for you as well!
I get bored with rc stuff but mostly because nothing exciting being released thays why I have started some custom and scratch build projects I see you trimmed the beard you'll get your groove back
Something needs to spark it but I am not sure what that thing will be yet. It seems to happen from time to time and I usually bounce back pretty quick. I think it is just the frustration of not being able to spend the time I want to on things so there is no motivation to start anything, lord knows I have a bunch of stuff to do! I did hack the beard back, it was getting a bit too long and bushy! That summer humidity is coming back! I will find something to get my rc mojo kick started soon I hope! @AddamsPlayground I film 3 to 5 videos every time I go out so one good afternoon might get me a week doing a planned film day seems to keep me from getting overwhelmed that and I fly boat race crawl keep it mixed up a bit helps keep the excitement up I really like what you are doing with the willys looks awesome
I just received my 40 anniversary rc10. Searching on eBay, I was surprised to find quite a few for sale, at a premium of course. As for the rc10t, I got in early this time. What's next, the rc10 graphite, I would probably have to get that one too. I was always a losi guy myself, but good luck getting a rere out of them.
That would be my guess of what would be next for them. I just hope they hold off for a few months to let my bank account rebound after all the spending over the last 5 months! I think Losi made terribly decisions to make their re-releases in mini form. I saw last weekend they had the JRXT buggies on clearance for $99 as they are just sitting there. If they had done the real kit there would Still be a line of folks waiting on them!
Im not in the rc slump yet, but have in the past, ive been away on holiday still waiting for my knee to heal up and with having to take time off work i just had an rc break at that point. Only doing small bits and bobs that are needed. But this weekend its a 7-8 hour drive to london for a vintage weekend event. So its getting my mojo back, so ling as the weather plays ball 🤞 ive a sudden craving for some haribo now aswell 😁
Yeah, I think we all go through to it at times. Either from like of time, lack of funds or sometimes just lack of inspiration. I think I am heading towards calmer times and things should turn around. Work should be slacking up some and I think the yard work is mostly maintenance going forward so that should not be as time consuming either. once I can get back down there and tinker and get the juices flowing it should be all good! Yeah, it seems our first batch never made it here as expected so it is supposed to be sometime in June now as well. Tamiya seems pretty bad about announcing things month and months in advance and still failing to meet their release dates. I think they need to hold off the announcements a little longer! 2024 seems to have been a relatively quiet year for exciting new RC releases and this has also dented my enthusiasm a little bit. Tamiya, Kyosho, Associated and others seem to be going re-re crazy and whilst I appreciate some of the vintage models, I don't appreciate the prices of most of them! The unpredictable, totally random nature of RUclips views doesn't help either. Will try to finish some of my ongoing build projects over the summer and hopefully there will be something great coming in autumn (just waiting for the release date to be confirmed).
I am sure we will probably get some new things released in June/July as the summer goes into full swing. The vintage re-re market has been busy lately much to my bank account's disproval! They are not usually cheap and I do avoid some of the prier ones but the RC10s I could not pass up, childhood dreams and all! LOL! I have noticed views are a bit dismal lately as well. It seems very hit or miss so I assume the funk and lack of time is fairly rampant and wide spread! I hope this next month slows down and I can get more time for the fun stuff, weeding and lawn care is not fun at all! LOL

@@AddamsPlayground When I was getting into RC cars in the early 1980's, I never really noticed the RC10. The only brands in the local hobby shops were Tamiya and Kyosho. So, I am lucky that the RC10 doesn't have a real nostalgic pull for me. Yes, I appreciate its importance but for me the early cars I remember are the Tamiya SRB's, the 3-speeds, the Holiday Buggy/Sand Rover and the Wild Willy. Of these, I have a re-re Buggy Champ/Rough Rider and a vintage Holiday Buggy. Finding a Blazing Blazer would be like looking for gold dust. Therefore, on my shopping list I would love a Super Champ/Fighting Buggy (379 GBP) and a later Avante 2011 (499 GBP). I know a lot of people like the Porsche 959 rally but I prefer the Toyota Celica Gr.B version. Again, ever finding one is unlikely. Still, just those 2 models would cost well over 1000 GBP to get up and running and that is something I cannot afford at the moment.
My kit building has slowed way down. I'm doing more upgrades now. The only kit on my radar is the LAZER SB Dirt Cross.
I do like the looks of that kit as well, I will probably pick it up once it is available if any are left after the pre-orders. I am hoping things slow down a bit and I can find some more free time to go down and enjoy some time at the work bench soon! I do miss it. Take care and have a great rest of your week and weekend!

Getting a chance to own some of these after so many years is really cool. I could not pass up on the T as it is the first ever re-release of it and I knew there was going to be a big demand for it. I do hope they actually make enough to satisfy the demand for them or they may really be shooting themselves in the foot for any future re-releases. Enjoy your 40th
The same thing happened to me and photography, I love it still but I'm taking quite a break from it at the moment. Only doing the odd thing here and there. You do so much over the years and every now and again get burnt out, taking the photo is the easy part, but nowadays there is also all the sorting and editing, sitting in front of a computer screen which as you get older and your eyes complain is not so much fun. I only got back into RC within the last six months after well over 20 years out of it so its still quite fresh for me, but the hobby certainly drains my wallet just as much as camera gear so no change there then..! Its always healthy to take a break when you're not feeling it.
I tried getting into photography, it was fun for a bit I realized most photos are outside and I only like the outside when there is not a lot of stuff to photograph! The winter is my preferred time of the year, no bugs, no humidity and I can do stuff without sweating like I am in an electric chair! RC is just if not more expensive of a hobby although I have seen some of those lens and camera costs! LOL! The funk should move on once I have a bit more free time to devote to builds and videos. Right now there has been so much going on from all directions it has taken the free time down to a minimum and when I get it I just want to not do anything! I work all day on a computer, spend lots of time editing and shopping around on a computer and it gets draining to stare into the monitor! I have some stuff in the works and as soon as I can more and more stuff will get built and run. I haven't lost it completely and I think I am heading towards calmer waters! If I had the money to spend on RC I’d be doing it but right now I’m concentrating on trying to find a good full time job.
I hope you find something soon, that is never a fun thing to be doing. I have stayed way to long at places I hated working just to avoid hunting for a new place. It usually worked out for the best going from old to new though so wishing you the best of luck in the search and the right thing will find you!

Yep you may have noticed my videos haven’t been very regular. Soon it will be the first Revival vintage race meeting so will have all the finals again, hopefully be some more epic battles like last year.

Yeah, I think the spring weather and added chores it brings is part of it! I know I have been busy taking care of our property and road a lot lately plus work and family responsibilities have not left a lot of free time on the table. In the free time I do get I just want to do as little as possible! I have some stuff in the works and as soon as I can more and more stuff will get built and run. I just need to find time to get that mojo back. I haven't lost it completely and I think I am heading towards calmer waters! Looking forward to seeing the races! The time and weather have not lined up well lately. Most of the time I have had it has been wet and nasty out so driving has not been of interest. i know the feeling. Sometimes when you have unfinished r/c projects it can get overwhelming. In your case you have the channel to organize for too. When I watched your video on the Mater body on the Wild Willy 2 you seemed very happy and it appeared you enjoyed it. You have the projects waiting and they're not going anywhere. You can do the, when your ready. I suggest to continue to do fun and enjoyable projects. I also enjoyed your reviews on RTR cars. There's a RUclipsr with a channel called Derby City RC. He's kind of a basher and he does a lot of rtr stuff. He has a lot of fun and he's creative like you. He did a video on the new Rlaarlo large scale crawler, which was creative, fun and silly. But, he gives out a lot of good information like you. He includes his kids and he doesn't take himself seriously, like you. Do things that are fun for you and make you happy. By the way your beard looks good. You look 10 years younger. Well may be 5 years younger. As Groucho Marx once said, "if you're not having fun you are doing something wrong."
Thank Michael! I will take a look at his channel, sounds interesting! I am trying to get back on the horse slowly. I did go out yesterday for a fun run with the Granite and bashed that around the yard for a while. I do have some projects I want to get going but need the time to devote to them. I do have some stuff in the works so the videos will still be coming! The beard needed to be hacked back, the warm weather and humidity let me know it was too long! It will be back in time for the fall and winter! LOL!

Take a break matey..... don't take this personally but you look exhausted!
Remember, this is supposed to be a relaxing hobby..... If it's all starting to feel like hard work, and the spark is temporarily no longer there then there's no point in pushing it just because you feel obliged to..... that could potentially kill the hobby for you totally.
I've said before how I'm amazed how much you get done, both in the hobby, and the RUclips thing.
I guarantee that we will ALL be here when you get your mojo back mate.
I think life is particularly hard for everyone worldwide right now, both emotionally and financially..... sometimes it takes every bit of energy and drive just to keep your own daily life ticking over, and when this happens there is nothing left in the tank to focus on hobbies.....at this point you are physically and mentally exhausted, which then turns them into a burden rather than a pleasure.
We have all been there mate.
My own life's hectic and exhausting -
I live alone, and run my own business.
Working 7 days a week, running and maintaining my house and gardens, looking after my elderly parents etc leaves very little time and energy for hobbies.
I sometimes go 3 or 4 weeks without building, repairing, driving or recording an rc video.
But, when I finally get a minuit to sit down in the early hours of the morning with a cider I find watching others rc videos very therapeutic and inspiring..... which keeps the spark alive!
When I hit that RC wall I like to focus on my other hobby.
I've been out golfing for a few nights a week after work recently, rather than driving/filming rc cars..... which has done me a lot of good!
I'd rather be outside making the most of the light evenings hitting some balls about, as I know there will be lots of time over the dark winter nights to tinker with RC cars.
So step back, re charge, and look after your own well being for a while mate...... and I can guarantee that when your heads in the right place that spark will come back.
Maybe cut back to one video a fortnight..... and in the meantime just go and have a play with a lunchbox purely for your own enjoyment.....
No cameras, no editing, no comments to have to reply to..... Just simple rc 'me' time!
Above all, look after yourself fella!

I think this next month things may slow down a bit and return to the normal level of chaos and confusion I am used, May was pretty busy and all over the place and I am tired. Taking the weekend off of YT and getting some needed things taken care of has helped and I do have some things in the can to edit and get out so I am going to be able to take it easy for a little bit before jumping back in. I shouldn't complain, you have your hands full if not fuller than mine! I cannot imagine trying to run my own business, that in itself sounds exhausting! I know the funk comes and goes so I am trying to divert my attention to other things in hopes of getting the rc mojo tank refilled a little bit. I haven't gotten out with a Tamiya yet because of the weather which is quite upsetting to me I mean I've managed to get my Sutton 4 x 2 out that was my last video. I hope I can run my frog this week there's still a lot of rain coming and I'm really ticked off about it.
Yeah the weather has been rough lately. My time and the weather have not lined up well at all to go out and run anything.
PLEASE only do what makes you happy so you don't get burned out I have many things to do during the day but I only do what I feel like doing and at the end of the day I'm happy (of course I just did my taxes for the last two years a week ago lol)
I am trying to maintain balance. It gets tricky at times to do so. There has just been a lot more on my plate lately and by the time I do get some spare time I am tired or bust want to veg for a while and not do anything. I sure do miss those "I'm bored" teenage years when it seemed like nothing ever happened and the list of responsibilities could be counted on my hands! Now I have lists of lists at times! thankfully I forget where I put some of the lists so that is a plus now! LOL! I think this happens in most hobbies at some point. It's just part of being human. For me I can go days sometimes a week or so without having any hobby time. I try not to force anything...if I don't feel like it I just don't do it. That kinda helps me keep a good balance. Also...maybe you cut the beard too short and it's throwing you off? 😂
Yeah the lack of time to go down and build and tinker is most of it I think. The rest is just being so busy lately I just don't want to do anything when I have down time! It's been hard for me to get out and run my cars. I live in Florida, and it's been sweltering, lately (per usual). In fact, it was 92 degrees, 100% humidity at 10PM! Not fun.
Ewww, yeah that is no motivating to go out and "enjoy" being outside! I have no idea how you all in Florida ever go outside! I am not a fan of the heat and loathe the humidity. I sweat like it is my job and never being able to dry out sucks! I am much more of a winter guy, it is cold, not much yard work and no bugs flying around in my face! Nothing wrong with taking a break. Life is more important. For me the hobby is part nostalgia, part fun and rewarding after a job well done. But mostly it empties wallets. But sometimes after work... the TV is just awesome. As far as pre orders go. To have any sort of argument one needs to know the unit sales from previous releases. Even across different manufacturers. Even rere vs current B7. Why would they support more re re against their current flagship? The dog fighter the optima world's the cc are on shelves in Aus. No jj but. Only ebay for those at $1000.

I know Tamiya has been making bank off of them for quite some time though! I passed on the dog fighter and the optima worlds cars as I have no connection to them. so for me those were over priced kits I had no inspiration to buy. The RC10s on the other hand I really dreamed of in my younger years but there was no way to afford them back then. I am sure it is just the same for the folks with the dog fighter and Kyosho kits as well. It does suck it takes forever for you all to get stuff and how ridiculously expensive it is as well.
I was just telling Craig I don't know how you guys do it. My dad duties are always first and the majority of my time. Right on about AMain. Only place I use after my BBX nightmare. (ThatIi still havent built) If it's not in stock, I don't buy it.

Thanks Paul! Thankfully my major dad duties are behind me and now I am more of a consultant/mechanic! I occasi0onally hit the hobby wall and it usually coincides with a busy time of year and this last month has been pretty busy! I am hopeful June slows down a bit and things can return to normal. Not having time to set aside for the fun stuff makes it harder to want to start something new. I built the Hotshot 2 recently in hopes of regaining the mojo but even though I did enjoy the build it really didn't spark the interest as it took me a couple days to get through it. I do have stuff in the works so the videos should keep coming until I can get some more stuff lined up. I do like Amin so much better but they do seem to be a bit delayed on getting some stuff. I would rather wait for them to get than wonder if my order will get here or not from TH!! LOL! Take care and have a great week!
