Great video and very informative. Having trouble taking off the stock suspension off though. The knuckle won’t separate. What do I have to remove in order to do so. It’s a 2017 accord sport.
Very nice review and wish this was out a while ago when I was looking for coilovers. I ended up going with the Tein SA because they are made in Japan as opposed to the Z line and absolutely love them. The ride is so comfortable and lowered. Couldn't ask for a better ride. I still waiting for you guys to make the ATLP exhaust for the sedan 9th gen😡. I don't want to buy another brand. Again, amazing review and will post in forums and share when those are debating between the 2. Thanks
HeeltoeAuto well when I did my research yes, what you say is true, but many commented that they were made in China which is why the cost is a bit cheaper on all online stores. I guess the only good part if both made in Japan, is that u can repair it in case anything fails. But you guys prob know better and good to know both are Japan made if true. And any update on the ATLP exhaust?
Ki11aBEE the upcoming Tein A line is the Chinese made one. even then it will be Tein made with Tein parts and employees. we will plan the ATLP V6 sedan system soon. possibly this summer!
Nice review, sir. I am picking up a set of BCR DR series (digressive piston) - a grade above the BR series - with 8 kg/mm FR and 6 kg/mm RR springs today, actually lol I can't wait to get them on the car.
Any good coilovers for honda accord 2012 v6?? I really need help finding the best one for my car. It is not for racing, only daily driving. Help!!!!!!!!
Because you aren't lowering the car as much with them an the front does not change much, usually no, you don't need camber adjustment in the front. You probably do in the rear though, if lowering past 1.5" especially.
Just do it right the first time and get the camber/toe kits, man. If you cheap out initially, you'll pay for it later when your tires wear prematurely.
Great comparison I was really having trouble deciding between the two kits, but I think I'm gonna go with the tein. Do you know the model number on the Tein kit?
We do, actually a second Tein kit that is more in-line with the BC design has been released since this video was published. Visit Heeltoeauto.com to find more on the Street advance Z and the Flex Z for the 9th gen Accord from Tein!
Nice video, and thanks for supporting us 9th gen Accord owners!

On a 10g gen Accord it is customary for installers to remove the knuckle and damper assembly from the car to get the damper out.
HeeltoeAuto would I have to remove the crown nut from the lower control arm in order to do so?
@@TheJoshdc It is called a castle nut and yes you would.
HeeltoeAuto why did you mention 10th gen accord? 9th is 13-17
Can you upgrade or change the springs on the tein?
Tein offers different Springs available to purchase but not able to be customized as part of your original build.

Ki11aBEE thanks a bunch! to clarify, the Z line it's all still made in Japan. the dampers aren't serviceable, that is the only real difference.

Any front end vibration under 20mph acceleration that goes away after like 5 seconds?
Sounds like you have an axle issue.
@@Heeltoe. well this started as soon as i installed the bc coils. All torqued and rechecked. Many say the cv axles?
@@millermatic140 Yes it is an axle issue. Happens when lowering because lower the car telescopes the inner axle joint into a worn area.
@@Heeltoe. saving up to be new axles. Hope this fixes it

Why did you sell them?

so with the tein SAZ you dont really need the camber kit?? i have a 2013 honda accord sport
Because you aren't lowering the car as much with them an the front does not change much, usually no, you don't need camber adjustment in the front. You probably do in the rear though, if lowering past 1.5" especially.
so what if I only lower it 1.5?? no more than that, do i still need the camber on the back?? Thank you
If you want a perfect OEM alignment yes you will need a rear camber kit, but it will not be off much at 1.5" down so some people leave it as is.
Just do it right the first time and get the camber/toe kits, man. If you cheap out initially, you'll pay for it later when your tires wear prematurely.
How do you adjust the damper settings on the Tein SA-Z ?
You adjust the dampening the same way on both kits, with the knob on top of the damper. Both kits outline the process in their instructions.
Nice overview boss thank you.
Thanks for the Video!
also, do you know if the truehart streetsport are any good?? thank you
It's an off-brand. We don't really carry them.
can you review this tien EDFC ACTIVE PRO to accord 9th gen thank you
We would like to do an EDFC based video soon, as well. Yes!
Maybe follow up with a installation for tein on a 9th gen? Great vid im trying to lower my accord sport. Gained a subscriber!
