I showed up every week for Allison Janney. C.J. was the absolute best character and she earned every single one of those Emmys. Every. Single. One.
She’s an amazing actress with Amazing Roles. Too many to mention.

At first, you wonder how she even knew about that, and then you realize Josh must have brought it up himself at some point, which is both how she knew it and how she knew that it still bothers him after all this time. (Either that or Mandy told her.)

My absolute favorite is from Gone Quite one of the sub-plots is another candidate whiffed on the question "Why do you want to be president?" and the staff have been trying to come up with their response to that question and after several scenes throughout the show they get to the last scene and CJ asks the president and... well ruclips.net/video/SF4SERl3uE0/видео.html
All during the Trump years, I watched reruns of West Wing and pretended Martin Sheen was president.

Allison Janney never mailed in a performance. She was absolutely perfect in this role.
CJ and Danny had in my opinion one of the most enjoyable relationships on the show. I am glad they followed the natural logic that they where presenting. Such an amazing show.
And it was witty, fresh, fast-paced and funny. God, I miss this kind of writing.

I remember our entire church choir racing home from Wednesday night choir rehearsal in order to not miss the latest episode of West Wing.
years before, we said that about Miami Vice on Friday nights.
Danny and CJ make such a great couple. I loved Danny and how quietly confident he was/is when he dealt with CJ.
Danny said the most romantic line to C.J. during the last season.... She was freaking out about their relationship and he told her that he just wanted to be included in decisions about their future... "I just wanna talk... because I like the sound of your voice"!
I will never, never , never, ever tire of The West Wing! The scenes with C.J. were the best of all.
that last clip of c.j. basically, "please, mr president. don't let them kill the turkey!" that was the little girl inside moment.
CJ is my favorite for a reason and this is just one of them

Few TV shows in my estimation, can equal to those of West Wing. Brilliantly acted and scripted. Wish the net works would rerun the whole series. P. S. I still want Martin Sheen for President!

I was so excited after my Husband jad a root canal to videotape him doing CJ’s “woot canawww” part. It was fabulous. He did AJ Justice.

The worst thing about this show is that it made people think politicians are competent.
I might agree with that but it also made people believe they SHOULD be competent too. Leaders and politicians like these lot (in fiction) should be our actual real world leaders inspiring us to do better everyday. But alas fiction will remain being fiction, and our real world leaders will continue being less than what they should be.
There's another myth this show made people believe: the never-ending-workday politician. I lived just a few blocks from the Capitol. When my wife would walk home from work, I would walk to meet her, and the halfway point just happened to be a the bottom of the east Capitol stairs. Let me tell you: at five o'clock, it looked liked that building was on fire. You had to stand off to the side to avoid being trampled by every level of politician and aide fleeing the grounds.
Myth no.3 that you wish was true from this show: The ones who make the best, most compelling, most eloquent argument will win. Complete bollocks. People vote for their own self interest or because of prejudice.
I wish Sorkin would write another show so much…

CJ and Danny were my second favourite couple after Jed and Abbie. Great chemistry.

I watched "The Creator" on the weekend and she was great in it!
The one I remember most is, “I am barely surprised”, when responding to reports of the deaths of little girls in the Mideast, when their school/dorm was burning down, but they would not be rescued unless they were fully enrobed in whatever the hell those Mideastern men deemed appropriate garb.

I liked some of CJ's comebacks because as press secretary there were times where she had to step in and make sure none of the other characters did something that would hurt them with the press.
Everyone loves a good comeback.
You missed one. Some of CJ's finest moments were in "The Women of Qumar".

Our real government did overhaul public and private education, but sadly, in the wrong direction. It just gets worse and worse. Now it's every kid left behind.

I e watched this show through a few times and in the first scene here you see a pistol range silhouette target in the background. This target appears many times randomly through the series run. Does anyone know why?

I hate danny and what he did to CJ's character. the dude was OBVIOUSLY only cozying up to her for exclusives and the fact that she either couldn't see it, or tell him to take a hike when it became obvious counted HEAVILY against her confidant, and COMPTANT demeanor to me, and was one of the factors in why I couldn't continue with the show
