What's poppin yo 😳
I want to say thanks for watching! It means a lot that people are actually interested in this process and what I have to say.
Today I was thinking about how I thought of this series a long time ago. People would ask me how to promote their music or grow a following as an artist (and TBH I really wasn't in a position to give advice on that but I did anyway haha). My advice usually was to get in front of the camera so people can connect to you and post RUclips videos about your process of making and releasing your music. It serves two purposes, connecting with an audience in the moment and if/when you make it as an artist, people can see how you did it. I had never done anything like that before so I didn't know if it would work but I knew deep down that it was a type of series that I would want to watch myself. I think that's why I like this series so much. It checks off so many boxes in my head that make making these videos so worthwhile.
It bugs me so much deep down when I see a new artist popping off and the way they did it is either veiled or can't be replicated. Of course you can't take anything away from them for being successful out of some measure of luck but I really wonder if there is anyone who is actually out there showing their moves as they make them. The artist I'm thinking about, their first ever social media post was them promoting a song that was signed to a label. It's almost as if they didn't have to do the hard work of building a community and promoting their music themselves, like they were able to tap into an existing following that the indie label had. Of course that's probably not the full story but that's all they share about it which is frustrating as someone who is trying to have similar success. I know if it frustrates me it probably frustrates other people to which is one of the reasons why I made this series.
I really enjoyed making this video and I hope you do too! If you really like it, I'd appreciate if you shared it too :)

2:50 i was soooo ready for the skillshare ad
lets gooo, i do most of my art in Blender!!! It's a lot of fun to have full control on your art
it really is rewarding!
This project is awesome
I started using stable diffusion to make my cover arts! It’s a free AI that you can install and run locally
Takes a bit of work to learn how to create good prompts but once you get the hang of it, your imagination can go straight to art
your work is incredible man!
so glad you are doing this
Glad you enjoy it!
