‘Eagle Eyes’ is sure growing up to be a nice young man. His appreciation of military history and exploring is grand. Great how you share history and explorations together. And, of course, you’re a proud father!
What an amazingly complex area. So many bunkers, and gun positions, and little hidden tunnels and locations. And with a history stretching over probably 100 years, from the 1800's to Post-War that really shows you the importance of that harbour area. It's interesting to see how each occupier has adapted the site to there own use, but still used the original buildings and tunnels that were there. thank you both for taking the time, and making the effort, to explore the area around the harbour! Looking forward to seeing what else you found in part 2! Cheers to you both! Stay Safe!
yes like every now and then some ideas and thoughts went into it and that makes it very special and the details are just AMAZING if you ask me. We actually did not expect that. Part 2 coming soon my friend and we appreciate you :)
Really a great site. Do love those coastal artillery sites. Amazing there was still some of the pulley system for moving the shells up was still left intact at that battery. Love the fact there were still buildings there from the original site and then when the Germans took over. That they still had WWII beds there along with the air purification system was amazing. Looked like someone had been living there recently. Looking forward to part 2.
You and me both Cynthia. This place is such a interesting one and you will love part 2. Thanks for you INCREDIBLE support and we send our greetings from us :)
That was an awesome harbor!! The fact that everything is still there after all of these years is amazing! I can't wait to see the rest of this explore!
We loved it Christopher. This is a very interesting location and so much to see and learn from. Part 2 will be even more interesting and thanks for your great support my friend :)
I SURE WISH I HAD BEEN AROUND BEFORE YOUR TRIP. I HAVE TO SAY THANKS TO THE ONES WHO SUPPORTED YOU DURING AND BEFORE YOUR TRIP. THANK YOU MY FRIENDS, FOR SHARING THESE MOST WONDERFUL AND UNBELIEVABLE PREPS THE GERMANS MADE FOR THEIR DEFENSE. "GOD" BLESS AND KEEP YOU SAFE DURING ALL OF YOUR TRIPS.😀

Cool situation!! Thank you to you and your son for always making us discover beautiful WW2 discoveries or even older ones from past conflicts. everythings its incredible...wow ;)
Great explore HH and EE, plenty of history there that has been put to more modern use. Impressive gun location and machine gun bunker, thanks for taking us along.
Another great video, my friend. It's an excellent gun emplacement. I'm surprised that it still has a lot of steel. The bunks explain the antenna and mast on the outside in the trees. It's funny how they attached the wooden slats to the old spring and metal wire mesh bed. It's a great place, and the fact that the 1800s building is still standing is phenomenal. Beautiful area. The both of you stay safe and well.
What an amazing site, so many different building that have been reused by different armies ov er tha past 150 years, and so clean, wonderful to see that. Thanks for sharing this with us, and I look foreward to seeing some very special stuuf in part 2. Stay safe and well my friends
Couldn't agree more Barry and this place took us totally by surprise as we actually did not expect so many not known features there. Loved i and and take care my friend :)
Very nice location. The large gun placements was like two you showed in an earlier video but this one seems to have more details. Cool to see the degree ring there. Interesting to know that this location was built in the 1800’s and was still being used post war. Will be watch for the next part of this location at the harbor.
Totally awesome it is Anthony and so cool to find those underground bunkers and interior details. Part 2 coming soon and thanks for your great support :)
What an interesting location. It's amazing how many locations that was taken over and modified by the German army. Loved this place and can't wait for part 2. Thank you and EE for the tour. Hope all is well and stay safe my friend.
Wow, there were a lot of hidden buildings and gun positions. Made for a very busy day. Hope you didn't get malaria from all the mosquitoes. Thanks for taking me along.
Yes Larry , that is one intense location for sure. Features and detail like never seen before. Just great and Eagle Eyes just loved that day out there. Thanks and more to come :)
Another interesting find, that gun pit still had the steel doors protecting the munition storage compartments! The gun at the upper position must have been huge! The bunk room was in great shape and it must have been repurposed after the war. A number of the steel doors are in great shape. Is someone preserving this location? Thanks for taking us along and I look forward to part 2!
Yes those guns were truly massive Donald. we have seen even pictures of some of them with people around them and then you see really how big they are. Thanks for your fantastic support and more to come :)
Another stunning location, amazing to see the sleeping quarters complete with bunks.Such a varety of bunkers and gun positions, very interesting the one with the rail so the gun cuold traverse it,s arc of fire. I,m so looking forward to the Messerschmit shadow box EE chose for me.👍👍
we loved to see this place and what great details there. very glad we could share this with you my friend. Shadow has been delayed shipped due to a little set back in my health situation but things are working out better now. Will be sent within the few next days. Thanks my friend :)
Another great exploration history hunter and eagle eyes it's amazing to see that bunker untouched thanks for sharing it with us I'm learning so much from your explores I hope that your all doing well
That place is beautiful HH , You and EE did it again ! Definitely on my list of ones to find ! The last couple ? well , that wasn't going to easy at all , but this one has good possibilities ! Great explore ! keep em coming , waiting for Pt 2 !
Thanks 👍and we totally agree. What a FANTASTIC place to explore with so many surprises. Lot of the features we did not even know was there. Thanks so much my friend and part 2 coming soon :)
Hi HH & EE, Luckily the Germans were enthusiastic about taking lots of pictures and documenting everything well. We still have the benefits of that now to find locations.
I occasionally wish we had a few WW2 battles here in England. So i could explore. But im thankful it didn't happen! I found an untouched Italian POW camp in the woods when I was only ten yrs old on holiday in Wales. Id love to find somewhere like that again. Im half German/Swiss so perhaps i should come back home! And start looking. Do some magnet fishing maybe.
Wow a shame the tunnels are all locked up but at the same time it suggests they have been repurposed and are used to this day and that is good. Can't wait for part 2 stay safe!
Pretty interesting place indeed. A lot of features around like all those ammo bunkers, which I noticed has numbers in the upper right corners. I can imagine that if you guys had the time, it would prob be 3 videos or more lol. I bet that harbor maybe a good place to investigate too. Looking forward to the next of this adventure.
This is a very intriguing location. I'm trying to determine which of the fittings is original and which is from the cold war, as it seems the people who renovated the buildings reused much of it in various ways. Some of it looks quite new actually, but it runs along the lines of the original channels. The fitting you came across towards the end of the video is really odd. It seems to have it's original cables running to it, but also incorporates the later Siemens equipment and cables. So strange. Fantastic explore, as always 🙂
We could not tell , they are pretty damp it seems to so i am not sure if it would be a great place to stay even for shorter time. Loved the explore and thanks Paul for being here :)
Looks like post war nobody cared too much about not witnessing any more explosions.🔥💥 At 8:00 in this video we see German Tunnel now used to hold many pipes carrying Gas. Now what could go wrong ?💥🤷🏼♂
Another fantastic site with great underground facilities a few that you could not get too, hmmmmmmmmmmm makes us wonder what is still in there lol. Great comparison from the photos from way bach then and now in peaceful times.
the mortar is a little mystery and we havent figured out that yet. We think it is a pre WW2 feature but not sure. Thanks for being here and part 2 coming soon :)
You might wish to acquire some 100% DEET mosquito repellent, and carry it around with you in your pack. That way you could keep the pesky little buggers from feasting on you. Just a suggestion on my part.
Amazing explore. Im starting to get disappointed with WWII documentaries. They mostly just focus on the politicians, generals, tanks, planes and ships. Whereas explorers show a lot more of how the average soldier was living, which is just as important.
So true and very few actually has even been anywhere or seen anything yet the copy past and voice over everything and anything. Thanks for being here with us :)
