That was impressive. The basement was a nice surprise. I'm lost for words on this one. Thank you and EE for the tour and can't wait for part 2. Take care and stay safe my friend.
What an incredible location. And to think there were three of these enormous guns there. These would have dominated such a massive area of sea and land all around. Just loved the generator room in the "basement". Being able to actually see the mountings for the diesel generator, and one of the main switchboards still there, with all the other bits and pieces lying around, was just amazing. It really gives you an idea of what that room would have been like before it was salvaged after the war. The narrow passage leading to the gun was most likely the main power cable run to the gun turret itself, with access ladders for the engineers, for maintenance and repairs. Thank you for sharing this fascinating construction. Looking forward to seeing what else this location has to share with us! Cheers to you both! Stay safe!
Would have been so cool to have seen it all ready for action there. So many rooms and features. Could very well be that the passage there was for that purpose. Thanks my friend and more to come :)
This was an incredible explore! Such a huge bunker with so many features. The basement was a surprise. That gun was massive! They most certainly meant business. The Germans were a force to be reckoned with. To see just how big that gun pit was was astounding. I can only imagine how much work loading that gun was. Thank you HH and EE for this wonderful explore. Take care and stay safe..💖💯
Incredible fortification, must be loads to see out there. Switchgear was impressive, shame it gets all ripped out and we don't get to see what it was really like. At 14:00, the corridor may be a cable / pipe raceway, put there to allow the cables and pipes to be routed around to the different areas in the bunker.
This was an enormous facility! Imagine the soldiers necessary to man and arm this gun...dazzles the imagination! Thank you for allowing me to step back into history!❤
That bunker is HUGE!!! That photo of the complex being constructed was very interesting. The gantry system throughout some of the bunker areas were engineered very well for shell movement. Too bad all the track on the floor was removed. The "basement" was a mess but contained some period artifacts that were still place! I am surprised they had not been completely removed. I wonder how they removed that large diesel engine, I guess they disassembled it. The movement of the materials during firing of this huge gun would have taken quite a few men to make it work. I can imagine that these concrete buildings will last for centuries. Thanks for taking us along to this location!
WOW! While watching, I was thinking just how long it took to build and install that HUGE gun...wow.....Loved how the electrical panels are still there in the generator room. Interesting on the separate small halls that led outside from there; possibly an escape route? Looking forward in seeing the next video on this adventure. Take care.
Absolutely incredible the size of the gun emplacement and what a bonus the basement with remains of the generator.HH and EE this has got to be one of your most exciting finds, once again your research reaps rewards.👍👍
hey guys a big shout out from the uk. another great video cant wait to see what else you have seen at that location. yous are so informative and respectfull at all these sites please keep making these great videos
Can believe there is still equipment in the bunker. That electrical panel was huge. I loved going on adventures like this when I was younger. I bet the temperature change from outside of the bunker compared to the inside is a big difference. Appears this location is not visited a lot as I really didn’t notice any graffiti. How big was base itself? Had to be hundreds of troops here to help support and defend this gun. Another interesting location.
Always so cool when stuff like that is still there. yes a big difference in temperature often. Not much crap around here and that is so good to see. Several square kilometer it covered. Lots of troops as well. Thanks Anthony :)
Awesome find ! The massive size of it was surprising as well ! 16" Guns were definitely nothing to mess around with ! I've seen a few others like this , but with guns still there , and restored into museums . This one , not really museum material though as it's in a pretty desolete area . Yes I did find it , it was relatively easy , gave me a break from the other one I'm currently looking for that is way harder to find . As always waiting for the other parts to be uploaded . Great job guys !
That is one heck of a bunker! The pic of them installing the gun was nice to see am looking forward to the future videos from this location. Those Panzer 2 links are one of your coolest finds.
Hi HH & EE, It was really heavy artillery. Four episodes about the complex, then it must be really big. It's special that there is still so much to see of the infrastructure.
Awesome video! Thanks so much for sharing.. Can’t believe you have access to sites like this, Here in Australia it would be locked up and you would be charged a fee to walk around it, with another 100 tourists.. You are very lucky..
Hi, Did you delete some of your videos from 2009-2014? Im looking for a channel who metal detected ww2 bunkers and played mostly background music. Was it you? What happened to your old videos?
@WW2HistoryHunter everyone is welcome was a little busy yesterday working at the voting place for 17 hours but today I am relaxing my friends and TRUMP won we saved America from the Communist leader

Unfortunately I’m listening on mobile and can’t hear the echoes… not even with headphones.
ok and thanks for watching.
was it attacked by Allies ????
David - I believe some of these fortifications were targeted by Allied bombers and naval gunfire but most weren't in this area. After the war, they made futile attempts to destroy some of them with explosives, too.
Some were not all. Thanks.
Im curious what is so scary about it? Was there a Bigfoot in there ?
There might have been or even Zoombies :) Thanks.
German engineering and brilliance right there.
Thanks for watching :)
