Unbelievable yet not surprising that they’re still here! Built to last. Imagine digging them out and see them whole again! I wish there was a team that would do that and preserve them as best as possible.
May bee 2-300 year from now some will re-discover them in 60 feet of water diving :) Thanks

Even the North Atlantic Wall can't stop mother nature slowly eating her way into the coast line. Great video HH team, shame we couldn't see inside that generator bunker.

Great video. I believe they built the Atlantic Wall was mostly paranoia especially that far north. There was only a few places where they could be invaded. Just another example of over engineering. Just a thought. Amazing the power of the sea to bring down such enormous structures. Hope all is well, see you in the next adventure. 😊

It is indeed mind boggling for us, 80 years down the track, that so much time, money, and materials, was expended on building the Atlantic Wall, but during the 1930's, nations thoughout the world had built massive fortifications like this. It was the mindset of a military world still based in WW1. It's sobering, and sad, in a way, to see these concrete dinosaurs slowly disappearing into the sands, probably never to be seen again, considering the part of history they played, but at least, they'll be free of the graffiti vandals... Thank you guys for sharing these amazing structures with us, before they vanish completely! Cheers to you both! Stay Safe, Stay Well!

Good video on the Atlantic wall, HH. The tobruks breaking off the Regelbau 671s would be expected since the 671 was not designed with it. Rommel may be to blame for their addition. We need to remember that half of the generals and Hitler were in WWI, and they were thinking like the Seigfried Line. Their concept was conceived before the orders were made and before America got involved with personnel. I agree from our current perspective that it was a colossal waste, but it took funding away from the rocket, heavy water, and jet programs.

It's just amazing how mother nature is able just take things over like that and thank you history hunter and eagle eyes for doing all the hard work I just can't thank you guys enough for all the time and work put into all these amazing videos/adventures it really gives me something to look forward to every Sunday here in on the east coast of the united state I hope all is well with you and your history hunting family and that the funds are starting to come in for next adventure I really hope that you guys are able to do everything you have planned but most importantly I hope and pray that you and your family are all in good health

Wish we could have gotten into the bunkers. It seems the medieval mentality of a system of forts remained in the German military book on defense. Wish more had been maintained to keep history alive. Good work and thanks for the tour.

Another fantastic episode. Thankyou again for all your efforts in showing us the history from those days. I often think that like images of kilometres of Dragons Teeth l have seen, the bunker system, once the allies made a breach it makes most of it useless.

Hi guys yes it is hard to believe that those bunkers are almost swallowed up by the Atlantic then you will have to go diving to see them.

I really hate the way they graffiti the old sites. I get it, they have a stigma but it's history. The dead on both sides should be respected.
That would be awesome, however; could you imagine how much it would cost to move just one bunker? $$$$$$$
We love the videos and the history of WWII. It is a very unnerving thought that there are still active mines in different locations. Have there been an unfortunate time that someone has walked in the wrong area and set off one of those mines? Good luck and stay safe!

Good evening. I don’t know why I seems to have missed seeing your recent uploads but I am glad I (re)discovered this upload. Many years ago I lived in Jersey, Channel Islands for 18/12 (18 months) and that was where I was first introduced to the Atlantic fortress. Not sure where your precise location is on this trip but I have also seen bunkers on the western and northern coasts of Normandie. As always, love all your videos and the research undertaken with every presentation. Lastly, what a lovely bonding exercise/ hobby to share with your son. Enjoy every moment together. Cheers Zoltan

Totally agree with you HH the Atlantic Wall did little to stop the Allies on D-Day,not many of the guns werw fired in anger.The Channel Islands were a heavily fortified part of the Atlantic Wall,gun batteries,bunkers and underground hospitals,the Allies simply bypassed them.Great to see those gun positions with the indentations to diguise them from the air,also the generator bunker looked good. Like yourself i can,t understand the graffiti so called artist,s it,s disrespectful to the people who served and maybe lost their live here.Good heath to you and your brilliant protege HH.👍👍
yes , there were som many locations that never even fired one shot and so clever of the allies to not even go close to the Channel Islands. The graffiti is just the very worst no matter what the people say. Appreciate you my friend and be sage out there :)

A lot of bunkers were also washed into the sea on the beaches of Denmark.
Money played no role in the construction of the Atlantic Wall, but it was stolen.
It was the great fear that the liberation would be launched from the sea.

Even though many of these locations saw no action during the war, am sure the Allies took a strong look at these locations when planning D day. The Allies tried to find the beaches the Germans would never consider being invaded. Sad to see these monsters of the beaches disappearing. The good thing about them disappearing is that the graffiti will disappear with them. I don’t think the algorithm is directly pointing at your channel but it’s like everything else on RUclips, if one content does something that is not liked by the RUclips overlords, then everyone with that content gets punished as well. Never give up and never surrender. I for one will be here for you.

All those defences did their job as far as the allies were concerned .. tied up men and resources that could have been elsewhere if they had known where the enemy would have come in. Thank you once again for sharing !
