He's had so many great writers
RIP Steve Dillon
Just started re-reading the Jamie Delano Hellblazer.
Paul Jenkins was here 👋 Writer of HellBlazer #89 to 128
;) According to you, does John as you know him fit in Legends of tomorrow series?
THANK YOU. What a refreshing video to hear.
yes I love hellblazer
Constantine - A constant tine - constant frequency - tuning fork. Balance.
I love original sins and I also like Brian azzarellos run on the series
This is the first time I've ever heard an American pronounce it as TINE instead of TEEN. My cousins are 'Constantine' and you are correct. The pronunciation is TINE (although for this character, I prefer the latter)
Tine is wrong. Teen is the right pronunciation.
my fav comic series.
Trenchcoat Brigadiers
> Trenchcoat Mafiosos
I wish he makes it to the SANDMAN netflix show.
nah, johanna made instead but she is cool too!
Finally someone who says Constantine instead of Constanteen.
Ahmad Hayat Constan(teen) has always sounded so much smoother. I still call him Constantine but it just sounds so...rough compared to "teen"
Ahmad Hayat Well, at least as we say it in Greece (where it is an actual first name) it sounds a lot more like Constanteen.
Should be Constanteen~ its how its pronounced in greece. Where the name is from, so~ who says its supposed to be 'tain?
Considering that in all of the live adaptations of the series it's "Constanteen", I would say the "tine" part is just the way it's spelled and not pronounced, especially since it is an imported name.
firtunatly in german you can only say Constanteen cuz anything other than that would not be correct german :)
Hold on, Neil Gaiman? F*ck, I knew I liked him for a reason
It’s funny that in the crossover, Lucifer pronounces Constantine correctly but John corrects him to the wrong pronunciation.
glimmer of CW justice
You know I actually was almost named constantine but because of the suicide thing my dad changed it to gabriel
Animal Man and Fables please.
I know it's meant to be pronounced Constantine and I know Alan Moore says it's Constantine. But I hate that pronunciation, Constanteen for life, and this is coming from a Brit.
lol, that was the very first thing that came to my mind
well as a Austrian (we speak german) I approove of the -teen variant cuz In German thete only is that pronouciation. Constantine in german is always pronounces as Constanteen :)
I've always preferred Tine, it has more class to it.
Jh5578 I couldn’t finish the video because of it and this is a good video
It's Constant-YNE. Trust me, mate. :)
Constantine
As far as I remember he isn't "magical".
so ive been pronouncing his name wrong the whole time 😒😭
TheSusietv
yessss
Angelo Delevingne The real pronunciation sounds shit tbh. The again, Allan Moore wasn't known as much for his name choice as compared to his writing choice
TheSusietv me too. And it still sounds wrong.
I will still pronounce his name as Constanteen with the legit argument that in german there is no other pronounciaton than this ;)
TheSusietv guess i have been pronouncing it wrong too. My god i feel like a idiot
And that my friends is the best character ever created, no that isnt sarcasm I am being dead serious
and dc is always screwing their titles with their reboots, multiverses and the end of vertigo.
vertigo should have stayed and the dc universe should have been blended slowly into it.
Just started reading the comics, currently at issue 7 ^^
(but I already know his entire lifestory cuz I googled him after seeing the god awful Keanu movie :/)
If you were a fan of the comics before the movie came out, you probably wouldn’t have thought it was god awful.
@@neoretro5328 Uhm... it is a bad movie. Like not even talking about not being accurate to the source. The acting is bad, the script is bad and I started to cringe halfway through. The only one who did a phenomenal job was the dude who played satan.
At least that's my opinion. Yours obviously differs. *shrug.
We don't have to share the same opinion and I honestly don't feel like discussing it rn.
Also I finished the comic, I like it. I don't see how that would make me like this movie. I still hate it.
...
also wtf this comment was made 2 years ago, don't necro ffs
It's a Great movie imo
Finished it, mate?
@@lucasmiguel4734 oh I finished it a long time ago.
I must say I almost forgot half of it all again.
That ending doe
Again no mention of his own show and his appearance on Arrow. Vixen AND Constantine? What's with missing that? Seems like pretty easy info to know especially considering some of the obscure stuff you put in these vids
Garth Ennis is American, so Azzarello is not the only relevant writer from U.S.A...
Pedro Oliveira Ennis is Irish
You're right, my bad.
Pedro Oliveira It's ok. For a long time, I thought Warren Ellis was American
My first First!

Im so fucking glad Justice League Dark, which was pretty much John Constantine the movie, and they pronounced his name fucking right~ so why do you have to make me nuts with this video. Oh m god every time you say it, it irritates me so bad. Fuck.
I mean… Really? Really? He made an entire section, with comic book scans as proofs that clearly said you are wrong, and you still say that he is wrong...?
Humanity...
@@konradgoscicki6649 word
ugh i hate that pronunciation. please dont say it that way ever again
nobody refers to the holiday though as valenteens days...
Did you not watch the video? He pronounces it right, you pronounce it wrong.
Dont mean shit
thats how you really pronounce iy constantine not constanteen
It's an imported name from Greece and in Greece it's pronounced "Constanteen". When you say Puerto Vallarta you don't make the double L sound because it's a Spanish name, Constantine is not an English name.
He's a scouser. From Liverpool, like the Beatles
Also an almagamation of occultists from English areas, OTO and the punk occultist scene.
