    Thanks for this great video. I was trying to reprogram a used 2011 chevy cruze ecm (delphi dcm3.7 ap). After ecm programming when I try to perform the immo learning it shows this : parameter id is not supported, try to reprogram the ecu with correct sps software calibration.
    The mistake I did was maybe to keep the registered vin on the ecu during the flashing process. I did not change the vin as you showed it on the video.

      Yes you must change the VIN. You will need to find out if the 2011 cruze is Global A architecture or not. Those you can not do used modules with SPS2. gm-techlink.com/?p=11221

      @@ecurepair Thanks for your support. I can see 2011 cruze on that list. So does it mean that there is no way to swap the ecu ? What would be the solution in that case? Using a virgin ecm ? Thanks once again.

      For SPS you would need a virgin ecu. For a used you can clone original with aftermarket tools like kess3, i/o terminal, etc.

    • @ecurepair
      @ecurepair  2 года назад +2

      You should be ok to replace with used ecu on a 2010 cruze. 2011+ starts a system type called "global A" and you would need to use a new/virgin ecu.

      Thank you @Keyworks Repair
      I am quite surprised why I get that B0389A code because it is linked to Environment Identification, I checked further that Environment Identification is linked to "Global Architecture" models and yes like you mention, for cruze that starts in 2011.
      So I will get the DMI(clone)then go ahead and replace ECU and see what happens, in case it fail my question is, how is the resetting done to virginise the ECU, is it through SPS2 as well?

    • @ecurepair
      @ecurepair  2 года назад +2

      Only if replacing the ECM. @1:35 in video the screen that pops up is where you need to manually enter VIN if changing ecu. If using original ecm and just updating or changing a different module then you can just "connect to vehicle". I made a mistake in the video the first time thats why I connected first then had to go back and manually enter it.

    It’s not actually mine it’s one I’ll be working on. Basically they put a used trans in a 2010 malibu bent the rap out of the pins so the tcm in the used trans was a no com. They put the original one in the used trans now they say it won’t do anything. You think that still a programming issue?? It’s the one you have to pull the pan to do.

    • @ecurepair
      @ecurepair  2 года назад +1

      I think the tcm in this year are only coded by vin so I would assume the original would still work in the case you described and you may have other problems but I'm not 100% sure sorry. You will need to check dtc's. If there are any config error codes then I would take a guess that the ecm was updated past a compatible calibration when they tried to switch it with the donor unit and programming will probably fix it.

      Flashing will probably be about 150 so I guess that + part cost (and any labor if mechanic installs it for you). Used ecus are pretty low cost for these but it really depends on where you go and if they try to mark it up or not.
