- Is Meghan Markle a tacky royal? That seems to be the case when compared to Princess Madeleine of Sweden and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway.
Princess Madeleine lives in the United States, currently residing in Florida, though she has also lived in New York City.
The princess lives relatively quietly life with her family, only doing occasional duties for Sweden and usually going back for the holidays or for the summer to her home country with her children. As the youngest child of the king, it makes a lot of sense for her to find a life outside the monarchy, which is allegedly what Meghan and Prince Harry wanted.
Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway is also an interesting case to compare, as the future Queen has seemingly been a large part of the public grieving process in Norway after a recent shooting at a gay club. However, her grief and leadership in this area makes sense as Mette-Marit's stepbrother was a victim of the mass shooting on Utoya. She knows the grief that families of mass shootings experience, when compared to Meghan Markle's very obvious publicity stunt in Uvalde, Texas.
So, what do you think of these princesses? Are they classy, while Meghan is tacky?

I could be completely off the mark but I think Harry had a responsibility to marry “classy”. . BUT he married TACKY!
It wasn't hard, either... But none of those women wanted him which says alot...and harry clearly didn't get out into the real world because he never dated ANYONE BUT aristocracy or celebrities he came into contact with via his inner circle... He never dated anyone middle class, even!

I’m so pissed married her thinking she represents the average American woman. There’s something about the Windsor family not picking out decent American women, meanwhile there’s been plenty of other royals who have chosen wonderful Americans, the one who got the most fame is Princess Grace. But now we are stuck with the reference of this tacky showbiz even though there are millions who would have made an effort to be an addition to the family.

Princess Mako of Japan recently gave up her title and inheritance, as per Japan’s laws, in order to marry her soulmate. They live quietly in New York. Another could be famous couple, living very private lives.
I’m believing that former Princess Mako is that Mako knows the definition of Private.
Im from UK, I can categorically state that MM is NOT representing the British riyal family when she uses the Duchess title. It is all her. She has rubbished the BRF, the UK and its citizens on an ongoing basis. WE ARE NOT amused, nor do we appreciate her lousy behaviour and actions.
While I agree she's not really representing the Brits, she is in a way, at least the government and the monarchy. That's why the Queen should strip the title. Thank you so much for watching!!
@@RoyalNewsNetwork No mere Duchess is, by virtue of that status, a representative of the UK government or monarchy. But a Prince or Princess is and I agree that they should be stripped of those titles as their activities are incompatible with that status.
She doesn't represent America either. She's not wanted on either side of the Atlantic.

MM is a peasant in the worst possible meaning. She behaves like a peasant. Worse, she's a peasant who wanted to consort with royalty, but couldn't be bothered to learn how to fit in, and expected them to change to suit her, instead.

Instead of visiting Uvalde she could have made a scholarship with the money she spent on the trip. That wedding happened way too fast. They had barely known each other 2 years and then there was the 'spectacle' of a wedding with a tiara and carriage ride - and oops pregnant within 3 months.

The $20,000.00 - $30,000.00 Markle spent on the private jet to Texas for a photo shoot, could have been given to the victim's families to help pay for the burials of their loved ones. Now, that would have caused me to think that she had an ounce of decency in her. Unfortunately, that is not the case.

Mette Marit would have been a good role model for Hazwife to emulate. Her marriage to the Prince was controversial at the time because she had a checkered past, including an out of wedlock child. But she has risen to the occasion and performed her royal role impeccably. What a difference from MM!

My guess is that she was arrogant enough to believe she was already a royal and that people should adjust to HER demands, not making any attempts to integrate to the British public that she is supposed to represent.

Meghan is tacky AF. She never respected the monarchy or the history and the role of the royal family in the UK. She failed to adopt to her new country, family and I don’t think she even respects or loves Harry for that reason. As much as he has issues with his family, she fails to encourage him to reconcile with them and is using his vulnerabilities to build a cheap brand. I have no doubt she’s grooming her children to merch off of, when she decides she’s had enough of him. She could’ve taken her role and done so much with it. It’s not the fault of the press, the royal family or of the England. It’s her!

The funeral home covered all costs for the deceased but she could have donated the money to help with hospital and rehab charges for the ones who lived. And done so without leaving CA.

Living where I do, in Norway, I obviously don't meet many black people, in spite of living in the most colourful county in the country. However, I have met many enough to have been told that being black, means that you always have to be a little bit afraid (I almost cry when I write this), so even if I have never encountered racism myself, I have enough empathy and fantasy to realise what it must be like. And the way I see it, Meghan diminishes the experiences of those who have really met racism, so I am glad there are people like you who speak up. There are lots of people who need protection, but she is not one of them.

There's another royalty in New York, an ex Japanese princess who married a commoner recently. And that is another case of living away from the spotlight or press intrusion. I don't think M&H wanted to give up the spotlight.
In the early 1990s, King Felipe of Spain attended Georgetown University here in the US, and we knew about it from the media reports and an interview, but he kept a low profile, and was known amongst his classmates to be quite gracious and gentlemanly, and unlike Harry and wife, never imposing political opinions on anyone or seeking the spotlight. You forgot princess Mary😊 She moved from Australia to be married to crown prince Frederick of Denmark. She like Kate has been hailed for adapting to the demands of royal life. Meghan should have done the same. The danish monarchy is one of the oldest in the world dating back to year 900. Also Madeline and husband lives in Miami.😊

Princess M of Sweden and husband also decided not to accept royal titles for their children, in order for them to have more privacy growing up. And Crown Princess Mary of Denmark was approached by Oprah as well but turned the idea from O down at once.

Those photos of Meghan at Skip's wedding in Jamaica (?) are so disturbing. She was clearly not invited at that point in their relationship (which they were separated) but showed up anyway. In another photo she went up to him and just like at the polo game, she cupped his face and planted a kiss on his lips - this is when he was standing next to the groom and other groomsmen - I'm sure making them uncomfortable. She definitely used her wily ways to get back in his graces. She was not leaving that wedding without him going back to a hotel room. She looked defiant and rude and he had no chance of escaping her.

I’m not convinced that’s true. If you look up House of Bernadotte on Wikipedia, it says that the older lineage of the Swedish royal family died out and A French lineage was installed by Napoleon. I don’t fully understand it as I have not read it completely but I don’t believe that the current royal family is descended from Vikings any more than your average euro mutt. 🤴🏼😀 Prince Daniel is of Finnish origin I believe, so, going forward the heirs to the throne will have quite a bit of Finnish commoner blood

@@RoyalNewsNetwork I remember when Gustaf and Sylvia married, she was living in Germany when they met. She is a commoner, now, I believe she was a hostess at the Olympic Games when they met. There is an earldom of Bernadotte on Insel Mainau of lake of constance. My parents owned a nursery and they took us children often to the little islet. It has beautiful gardens, always planted for the seasons.
No she does not. The Bernadotte family was French...not a drop of Viking blood in her whatsoever. The Norwegian Royal family has a little Viking blood and that comes from Queen Sonja.
She just doesn’t care enough about any of these social issues to get invested. There’s zero passion there.
I’m curious as to why she wasn’t trying to join Matthew McConaughey in Washington after the shooting? He’s been meeting with in TX local government & in Washington basically since the day after, giving speeches and in meetings with members of government to find a way to keep these from happening. If she really wanted to be an active change she would have been calling him “ok what can I do, what do you need from me, let’s do this.”
She doesn’t want to do any real work. She likes to start or bandwagon onto conversations but not invest any real effort. Bc she doesn’t care about any of it. it’s all for the spotlight so there’s never any follow through.

I just have to say, I'm Swedish, born and raised, lived here all my life, and what you're saying about prince Carl Philip always getting pushed to the front rather than the crown princess by the king is not true at all from what I see and hear.
The crown princess is very prominent and visible. Her brother (as far as I see it and can tell, this is obviously just my perception) is not being shoved in front of her, so to speak, though he certainly is well known and prominent.

Courtesy titles do not convey the values or upbringing that makes someone Royal, regal and dignified. She simply couldn't be happy in a supporting role that involved following traditions rules and protocol. Now she is clearly regretting the loss of attention and we can't seem to go a day without them or her specially inserting herself into whatever is trending.... I grew tired of the drama and ridiculous attention seeking behavior and lies. I wish they would be gifted an island and stay away , happy, with the kids and for goodness sake QUIET 🤫🤐.

The words you are looking for to describe the differences are..... "Class" and "Crass".
Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Dutch and English are all Germanic languages which is why it's actually pretty easy to figure out basic words & phrases when you come across the languages. Also, English is taught very young in Scandinavia & in the Netherlands (not so much in Germany) so most people 50 and under can speak it fairly well.
You'll have to ask me about my story of meeting King Karl of Sweden on the train in Stockholm. I was visiting my best friend (we travel back & forth to visit each other every 6 months). She's from Southern Sweden but took me up north to Stockholm to visit her brother and apparently, he's known to take the train & ride his bike to work - no pomp, no bodyguards (at least not obvious). 😊
The law was different when Carl Phillip was born. It is against legalistic principals to apply the law retroactively and strip prince C-P his rights. But swedes do swedes. Greetings from Finland!
Btw Sweden and it's royals have awesome viking history. Bernadotte family comes from France but through marriage they have root to swedish 1500 monarch Gustav Vasa as well. But my Brazilian mother says Swedish royal are so beautiful because their mother is from Brazil 😄

In many ways I can see a lot of issues the way how they went about resetting the succession line. At least Queen Elizabeth had the tact to do this before Williams children arrived. Hi Brittany, I love, love your videos. You are very knowledgeable about the Royals. I agree with you about MM she is tacky. She never wanted to be part of the RF, what she wanted was to be famous and make money on the back of her title and the RF. As one RUclipsr said MM did not lose her voice because of the Royal family, she HAS a voice BECAUSE of the Royal family which she is using to make herself relevant and rich. She would NEVER have had this platform without the RF and the title they gave her, and her thanks is to trash them. What I don't understand is why Harry is letting her do this to his family who gave her and him everything they have. I am Canadian and I had never heard of MM before she got her claws into Harry, and we all signed a petition that we didn't want to pay for their security and that is why they left the country sooner rather than later. Keep up the good work, I always look forward to you videos.

There also a number of other Royal households in the states. Crown Princess Marie Chantal of Greece has always lived in NYC with her husband, Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece and children. All five of their children have Prince and Princess titles of both Greece and Denmark. There’s also the former Royal family of Iran, the Pahlavi dynasty headed by Reza Pahlavi, who resides in NY state and the former Princess Mako of Japan who gave up her title for love and marriage in NYC. Technically, both children of Diane von Furstenberg carry Prince and Princess titles. Neither uses them. Interestingly enough, Princess Marie Chantal’s youngest sister, Alexandra was married to Prince Alexander von Furstenberg for seven years and carried the Princess title too.

One would be great example is Princess madelaide's SIL, She was a princess by marriage but doesn't shove anyone her title's and was sucessfully raising their children with enough exposure and privacy and also she was working in showbiz and no one even heard her after she married a prince but she understood her duties and roles.

I actually live in Oslo and the royal family is living quite a normal life besides being royal. I heard once that Crown Prince Haakon was chatting with his neighbour when cutting the bushes in his garden. And a friend of mine walked past the swedish prince in Stockholm and he said there was no security with him.

Mette Marit is a wonderful crown princess with a very impressive background. It was so moving, when she married the Prince! During the ceremony, she constantly cried silently. It looked like she needed all the courage she could muster to walk up the aisle.
In hindsight, it was like she had been on a difficult journey throughout all her life. And her husband was her goal, her companion, her soulmate she had been looking for all her life.
