Getting a transcript of a RUclips video is a handy feature if you didn't understand something or if the person went too fast, for example. It's easy to find and use the feature.

My Show Transcripts feature is not automatically scrolling forward as the video plays. The words get highlighted, but eventually the highlighted part is offscreen, and I must manually move forward. In the past, it advanced highlighted words and advanced through the frames. Can this be corrected? I've already updated. Also, when editing my comments, the screen freezes. I am using Samsung a73 5g. Thanks!
they changed it, now you have to click "...more" on the description box to find it

I just found a way to have the transcript option show up when it did not previously. I also noticed that closed captions were available, but not the transcript. I went into my Google settings, and found a box next to this sentance: "include auto-generated captions (when available)". After checking the box, the transcript option showed up at the 3 dots icon.-- after refreshing the video.
where exactly is this sentance/box under google settings or youtube settings? and where there exactly?
How do i find the setting? please help, I have the same issue
it doesn't work. it put close captioning on your browser, not a transcript

Interesting - but on my videos there are many, inaccuracies. I'd rather they didn't try to dictate what was really said...
This is a very useful HowTo vdeo. Some other RUclipsrs add tons of bloat into their video content and make a video that should take 5 minutes into 28-45 minute video. This transcript would could help me zero into the meat of the video and bypass the fluff. Thanks!

No- "show transcript" does not appear on your video at the 3 dots, nor on many YT vids.
They moved it to the bottom of the video description
I'm going cross-eyed fixated on the icons in the center of the taskbar. Try the three dots on a video other than English 😅

I need help here. RUclips is completely useless they do not allow to post for support. "Show transcript" suddenly disappeared for no apparent reason and now "Report" only shows. This is only applies to my PC. Mobile phone works fine and shows transcript. Tried rebooting and no go. Please help!

No longer true they've moved it to what they describe is in the Description but it isn't there what a pain.
Yeah, and the closed captions are now darkened and hard to read. Another "improvement" on a social media platform! 🤦♂
