Mine was near the end when she talked about her daughter's negative attitude while she is very positive. That's me and my mom. My mother I often call "Pollyanna " while I'm very pessimistic. I would like to change that about my self and my thought patterns. I know it would be helpful in my life ! I liked her simple affirmations about how she loved her shower gel , etc. I need to do more of that. The simple stuff

I did the RTT Training she offers. This has changed my life completely and I still absorb every word she is saying even though it is repetition. We need this repetition to finally believe it ourselves. So healing. I tell my kids so often how much I love them, how great they are and how much fun it is to be with them. May they grow up knowing they are worth EVERYTHING in life.

    • @tarafaulkner
      @tarafaulkner 11 месяцев назад +1

Wow that's amazing u did her rtt training. I want to help others either this way or learn how to energy heal or Reiki. I'm still in the deprogramming of the conditioned mind and limiting beliefs so I can start adding software that will.serve my true self and to be of service of others. I've thought becuz I didn't want to go to med school I could never help others in a way that would matter enough make a difference and that I would find satisfying. I have always been able to show compassion to pple whether they told me verbally they were hurting or scared or if I could just tell from their body language or was able to shift my energy to make them.comfortable with no words spoken becuz I can feel energy easily. The credibility we started giving people that can actually help others is so exciting. Can u tell me how much it cost how long u did it for and if u have used to help anyone else yet or if plan on being able to this for a living. I k ow I would great at this but I'm not sure if people are hiring for this service yet.not sure where to even search . Either way thanks for commenting. I feel super encouraged

7:10 made me weep like a baby. I hated my grandmother, she was so mean and abusive. Every day with her was like being a trapped animal, waiting for the next beating. Even though I know (now) that my mother, who is mentally ill, couldn't cope, I still resented her for throwing me away. But hearing Marisa speak my reality, which is and was the reality of so many other people, made me feel tremendous peace in a way that fifteen years of therapy hasn't. Every word Marisa speaks is like a wonderful medicine to me.

I recently had this conversation with a participant about giving herself the gift of forgiveness. You won't be able to move forward or find love and joy without letting go of the past. If you want to find yourself again, you have to let go of the 'shoulds' and the 'if onlys'. And instead, give yourself the gift of a fresh start. I love that Marisa talked about how we speak to ourselves. 💜

    So true.
At 40 Iwas diagnoses with bels palsy and Lupus. My Dr. gave the " necessary" meds that made me feel worse. I did the research, change my eating habits and hired a trainer. The Dr and the trainer decided what I could achieve and what it wouldn't be possible. I was able to quit meds in 3 month time and in 2 years went from 189lbs to 130 and very Fit with the amount of muscle I Wanted. Im 58 and still going. Only you can decide your limitations. Do the research, make a plan and strategize, dont give up, evrything requires commitment, consistency and hard work, you might have to be open to changes, thats how life works, but dont give up. In life we must be our own cheerleader no matter what.

I fought with my work team to hire someone years ago who was exactly what we were looking for. She had a lot of moles on her face. This was a job with no public contact. I begged my team to be better and to push themselves past this discomfort with the physicality of others. They kept talking about her moles. Sad and unfortunate for us that they passed on her. She was a star. Push yourself to not care. There's freedom in it. I scared a woman straight to hell I'm sure when I told her what I'd do to her if she didn't stop staring at my husband who was dying of cancer and out for a little sun at a coffee shop with his wife. I told him I was going to the bathroom and went right up to her and whispered something to her. She'll never forget it. Yah it was brutal. Appearance doesn't matter. But you're not a weirdo for making your comment. Truth is the first step to change. With my husband I turned into a crazed monster because I wanted his last days to be filled with joy. OK done with my rant and off to job I just quit. 2 weeks left. This video is great. Peace to you.

Marissa is very good! Her voice projects confidence and peace. She pointed out the need for love and acceptance, eventually loving and accepting yourself. Rejection causes fear. Find what your gifts and talents are and plant them somewhere. If you are unhappy, you will be highly critical and even can cause physical pain. The body keeps score. Marissa says, break your fears and you will build a life that reflects what you want, not what others want for you. Repeat what you want. Words affect your thoughts and thoughts affect your decisions and what you believe about yourself. Refuse to give up. The video was just beautiful information. What a gift 🎀

This is one of the most helpful interviews, for myself and understanding others.
Example: I have known people who loved going to doctors as if those trips are enjoyable recreational events, and they also loved taking medication.
It turns out when they were young, they got the attention they craved from their doctors, their parents and their siblings when they were ill and/or injured.
One of them told me almost gleefully how her older brother had to go to the pharmacy to get her prescription filled and how her father played with her when she was home from school because of illness.
So as an adult she seemed to actually love her doctors appointments, her allergies, etc.

What she said about addicts at 1 hour in was DEAD ON!!!! I’ve been trying to explain addicts to people forever bc society has us ALL WRONG! And actually what they do to us in attempt to “fix us” is only a temporary fix, hence why we have to be stuck in stuff like AA to maintain the temporary😏 U don’t put a bandage on a decapitation.

This came the right time for me, I've been going through insecurity recently and everything she said was like she's directly talking to me (Especially about people pleasing, and saying sorry all the time and self love). I love her. I listening to her speak is by itself a solution for our problems.

Thank you very much. I didn’t like how your accent sounded ‘’snob”’ but I realised now that it was because of what it reasoned in me: ‘a certain person’. For this, I apologise to you for having this thought. Thank you for being transparent and say things as they are. Dating father’a type rings a belt too. Having say that,, I always find you beautiful, I like your poise, grace and dignity. Thank you both for sharing.

Others do believe in these concepts. I believe your mind is powerful. Mindset is most of the battle in the journey. Pick ypur best journey.

😢 I need a “Marisa” in my life and if videos are the only way then so it is, I am a people pleaser, feel like a lost cause, a waste of space, not good enough, never amount to or be anything, not worthy, just a door mat and a service to others, always put down as a child, ridiculed and the list goes on.

I agree. Even in modern DSM world, there is no treatment known to 'rebuild' your inner sense of being happy about yourself.
The treatments focus on getting a person back to what they were before trauma. Stasis.
For those who were born into troubled families where the parent(s) are all badly damaged , a child will never learn how to feel good about themselves. There is no original good state to get back to.
It is one of the most complex things to learn how to do for yourself in these cases. Not so many make it, sadly.

What’s true is what I decide to be true. We attach meaning to the events that happens in our lives.“Our minds are hard wired to go back to what it knows and the familiar” “ We pick up what we know. If we are so used to self criticism then accepting praise is impossible. Our mind will always goes back to what it recognizes. You make anything in your familiar. 10:15.
It is very difficult to accept praise bc we were taught not to get ahead of ourselves and not to show off. That nobody will like us. Accept praise by saying thank you.
10:10. One of the biggest ways we can change our life is to accept praise. Think of the words you always wanted to hear from your friends, parents, teacher,. Ex: I matter. I can contribute something amazing to the world. This makes such an impact on your sense of self. Downloading your own cheerleader. Cheerleading saying you can do this.
18:56. When you can accept praise from others than it becomes a game changer.
25:25. Make the unfamiliar by familiar making by sitting with uncomfortable.
27:00 Three tips for manifesting. First you have to believe that you are worthy of success. The mind will go after something that is clear. Ask yourself what must I do to achieve it?
31:56. If you don’t ever feel that your not worth love (or success) then self sabotage and procrastinate ourselves. Telling ourselves my dad left me or I am not a 10. Thoughts always come first. Thoughts causes a certain feeling which leads to action. If I keep thinking the thought that I am not lovable. We focus excessively on changing behaviors. If we first change thoughts, then we can change everything else. Trauma and not feeling good enough are related. We move towards what we believe.
35:50. Misconceptions about Healing. Healing is such a long meditative experience. What’s important is that we change thoughts.
Note: start believing I am worthy of everything good despite not having a happy childhood.

Lewis, please keep on elaborating on the conversations you have with your girlfriend. Your opening up, showing ‘vulnerability’ (I call it humanness, being a normal human being) is actually very attractive and connecting. It makes the entire interview a true experience. It adds depth and color to your podcast. Your doubting, positive and seeking healing vibe is very recognizable for many and therefore your work matters. Truly mattere. Your baseline, your sigma state of masculinity and your not showing off is very classy. Thank you and congrats from Belgium!
