Finally ! My slayer mod is finished. The one and only struggle I had to deal with was, getting a piece of silicone that would fit in the hot water spigot.
@@CabeensCoffeeCornerthis is great news! I wanted to do this mod but was worried my wife would kill me if I made it difficult for her to get her single click shot.
Thanks very much for the easy to follow tutorial. There isn't another one like it! However, I think you forgot to mention that you need to block the spigot. I'm guessing that's what the silicone was for.
@@CabeensCoffeeCorner I figured it out anyway lol. I've been looking for a clear mod for ages. This video was so easy to follow (and succinct) that I did the mod. That's how I found out about the spigot lol. Thanks very much. Could you possibly add it to the description?
Thank you for this video.I think that all the community was looking for an easy tutorial like this for years. I just have two questions, the spigot thing is not clear to me. It is mandatory to cap it? Second, can we perform the clean cycle as usual with this mod? Thank you and congrats!❤
Hi, this mod is more flow profiling and not slayer. Slayer is static "pressure" preinfusion saturating with 40g to 55g in 25 seconds then full pressure in 9 bars. This mod you have a wheel that you can change dynamic (any time) the flow in the preinfusion and brew process. This mod is very nice and give this Breville DB a higher level in espresso machine market.
@@CabeensCoffeeCorner why is the slayer mod done? Is it because it extracts the lighter roasted beans better and if so, doesn't the DB handle light roast without the mod?

Hope You enjoy
This is awesome to turn this machine to another level
Can you replace the vibration pump to rotary pump as well?
you can, i havent though
can you still pull a regular 9 bar shot without tending to the knob or machine?
also thank you for finally making a easy to follow video tutorial lol i was holding off on doing this
Glad it it helped! Just simply leave the know open and it operates as normal. I typically control flow rate in my shot but my wife does not!
@@CabeensCoffeeCorner and how do the programable buttons work then? same? open knob to full and press for regular function?
@@CabeensCoffeeCorner do i have to mark on my machine where 9 bar, 6 bar, and 3 bar are?

Do the 1 cup and 2 cup preset functions still work with this mod done?
Sure does! Everything but the hot water tap

I’ve never tried the slayer, but I’ve this is a pretty known name for the mod
I am not sure what slayer mod does
It allows you to control the flow of water from the group head
