I really enjoy it when Sings Like Cor takes a moment to truly appreciate the world around him. I never would have noticed that little Kwama Forager dipping into the water before hastily retreating for dry land. Despite the age of the game, there's still so much beauty in the landscapes.
I gotta say, I'm really loving the community aspect of this series & channel as a whole. Everyone here seems so genuinely invested in both Cor, Sings-like-Cor & Morrowind in general. It's really great to see some genuine positivity for a change & I am so proud of this community. Glad to be a part of it 😊
I really love the way the you roleplay with your characters, talking to NPCs and emulating their responses, therefore creating conversation, you truly seem to be passionate about it and take it seriously which i truly enjoy and like about you!
Fun fact: About 2-3 missions into the Main Quest, NPCs will comment (newest rumors) on the fact, that merchants and other services are open all night long. Of course, in this case it was a mechanic issue, But the devs back in the day have been so self aware, that they smartly tied that tech problem to the mainquest, without changing it.
'Edge of Tomorrow' is a great film, though I'll admit I hadn't even heard of 'Next'. I like Nicholas Cage as a person but his films are very hit & miss 😂
I'm really loving these. The vibe is excellent, and I love the leaning into the roleplay aspect, straddling the line between external player/narrator and internal player/character. Genuinely looking forward to every new one. Morrowind is a dear favorite of mine, and I almost always play an Argonian.
Every video just brings flashbacks of my time with this game. Love the nostalgia and, as always, your pleasant voice guiding us through Sings-Like-Cor's journey.
I finished a final project for college with this video and the last. Nothing feels better than cleaning up after a long project and sitting down the finish a video.
In this exciting episode Sings-Like-Cor reads books, helps people and gets chased by a near naked Nord for his troubles Had to watch it in sections due to a busy day but enjoyed this yet again :)
You reading out the Potema book while I happened to be watching videos to chill out to sleep was like getting a bedtime story reading. Have been enjoying these videos!
SIngs-like-Cor's death, when he went to fight that rat, just had me in stitches. 😂 Timing really is everything. That sunrise over Pelagiad was perfect. What a lovely way to start the day. 🌄 And, I'm glad I'm not the only one who stops to pick all of the flowers, as well as the other plants and fungi. 😆I am always side-tracked by the wonderful landscapes of Bethesda's TES games and Vaardenfell has such a raw beauty. Great video Cor. This is so much fun. Have a great week. 🌞
38:11 The tone of your voice here really tickled me haha! In general, the way you conversate with all the NPCs makes this game seem more like Baldur's Gate 3 (which I am playing right now), where the player passes by lots of different conversations on the road and in towns/buildings simply for flavor and worldbuilding. Love how you react to the weather and sunrise too. Your roleplay brings this old game new life :)
I'm impressed by the way you replicate the accent the Nords have in Morrowind, they sound very funny in this game. Also, your knowledge in various languages is very impressive! I love the fact Sings-Like-Cor sympathized with the Kagouti fan. I feel like they could talk for hours without seeing time passing Morrowind tip of the week : there is a chest in each Mage's Guild that respawn each weak with stuff you can take freely. Very useful really 😊 See you next week !
Be careful if you're doing the Mages' Guild quests and joining House Telvanni--I know there's ways around it, but I also know there's one Mage's Guild questgiver's quest at the higher levels which asks you to kill the Telvanni Council, which of course won't help your progress in the House! That said, I continue to really enjoy this series. :D It's so relaxing to re-enter Morrowind without having to deal with the cliffracers myself, and your narration is great fun.
Remember to check your advancement! At a certain rank, most anyone will give you duties so you won't know through dialogue that you're ready to advance.
Cor, I've really been enjoying these videos so far, and I do hope you'll continue with them. One thing I've noticed though is when you comment on walking around morrowind, the speed you're going is sprinting and it's constantly draining your stamina. I know you can just "wait" to get the resources back, but if you were interested in a bit more immersion, there should be a keybind you can set or is already set to let you toggle your default speed to walking and would save your stamina for ambush attacks by cliff racers. lower stamina equals lower chance to hit with weapons, if I remember correctly.
Good idea with the toggle speed actually, thanks! It will be like sprinting in Skyrim. I also remembered when editing that there's a bar in the lower left that shows the "charge" of the equipped spell. It follows stamina completely! In any case, I will be more conservative with this.
Really enjoyed the reading sessions in this part & can't wait for more in future episodes. I'm hoping Sings-like-Cor will eventually come across a copy of 'The 36 Lessons of Vivec' as it's quite the read. Vivec also happens to be one of my all time favourite Elder Scrolls characters. Vivec is such a complex individual & I'm interested to see what Sings-like-Cor thinks of him.
Well met traveller. If I may, Sings-like-Cor can consider picking up a bound long sword spell from Masalinie in Mages guild located in Balmora since conjuration is one of his major skills. By learning this skill, Sings-like-Cor will not need to worry about repairing a long sword and he is able to equip a shield along with the bound sword as well =) Cheers!
Agreed, carrying at least a set of mortar & pestle around is a nice idea. Of course, you can't make yourself a cup of coffee in Morrowind, but brewing potions on the go can be useful! Yeaaah, I don't remember any of the quests that involves escorting NPCs as particularly enjoyable. Well, I think it's a pretty general sentiment across video games. Ugh, that Kagouti quest, they are dreadful when facing them at low level, though Sings-Like-Cor managed it pretty well! So Sadrith Mora next? Time to finally experience the... let's say, peculiarity of House Telvanni! And Sings-Like-Cor probably wouldn't like to walk from Ald'ruhn to Sadrith Mora, at least not yet. I also hope he will find another iconic Colovian hat soon, though can't remember if those are common across Vvardenfell. Maybe he will need to go back to where he left his damaged one...
It would be nice to brew a triple oat macchiato on the go, but I get you - restore health potions are definitely better Yes, we still didn't find a hat in the latest episode, but soon!
Hello, Sings! More adventures, glorious! 😊 (Fun fact: I never use Cure Paralysis potions, because it just seems too far-fetched to me that one'd be able to drink a tiny bottle while supposedly unable to move their entire body... 😅 Magic items activated with your minds would be fine, in my opinion - and yet, curiously, the game allows the former and not the latter (alright, maybe a constant effect could be applied, but no casting)! 😆) Ah, servicing your armor is apparently as expensive as taking care of a car; quite right, too, I suppose 😅😅 "We'll just have to go back and lie....which will be....E A S Y!" Living the life of crime, Sings, and looking fabulous while doing it 😎😎 .....on the other hand, getting told to get the notes without the slightest regard for a scholar's life is.......probably not illegal, but definitely eyebrow-raising. But said scholar is, all things considered, a polite fellow. Hopefully he will change his expectations regarding Argonians after this encounter! Ah yes, the benefits of being a part of the Mages Guild...like having high fees extorted, knowledge being gate-kept and the in-fighting and tensions being as sharp as in any part of the academic sphere! ...well, there's the well-lit beds. And perhaps a discount. Hah, I think I experimented with a Fortify Speed spell cast at NPCs I had to escort somewhere....not sure how successful it was, tho 😅 "I will escort you, kind sir, worry not - " "*KAPOW! BABOOM!* "...I will nudge you gently in the right direction from a safe distance, kind sir, how about that." And the lady waiting in the rain - why, that's just for added dash of star-crossed romance, of course! Nothinga beats gazing lovingly at your roguishly charming bandit with your hair plastered to your head and a heaving bosom thrown into the mix somewhere! "I've never met anyone with such enthusiasm for my research!" ...meaning nobody ever asked him, let's be honest. Sings did a good deed twice over and made a fellow scholar's day a bit brighter! AND THE SUNRISE -- !!! 🥺🥺🥺♥️♥️♥️ You really make Morrowind breathe its glory at you. A pilgrim in need! A polite one! .....and then she loses significant amount of points with the "slave" comment 😆 Loved the disappointed tone of yours. "Nevrasa, keeping slaves and pooping on the carpet is a BAD thing. You can do better!" Wow, guars are actually pretty big, when you think about it. Pilgrimage! If you wish to get the full benefits of such a trip, each shrine requires an offering - as mentioned in the helpful book The Pilgrim's Path 😊😁 Could be interesting to see Sings undertake the journey from a scholar-ly sort of viewpoint - though maybe the stories about the Tribunal will inspire him enough to actually work for their blessings...? 😜 (Yeah, Vivec does write fascinating stuff about himself. I assume you mean his 36 Lessons - that is indeed a wild read 😆) (But he's a poet. That explains a darn lot 😜😆) (2920: Last Year of the First Era is a great great tale, actually. The Three, the Empire, some Daedra... For Sings' viewing pleasure, there are even some Argonians 😉😊) Naturalists united! Sings-like-Cor took down those kagouti like a pro - and Casper really is a lot of help! 😊 Shame about the next generation of these curious beasts...but mating is always a risky business 🤷♀️ (And it's not like there's a shortage of them on Vvardenfell 😜) (Now...cliff racer mating habits, that might be an interesting read!) Again and again: extra bonus points for your excellent voices; awesome immersion skills! 😁🤩 Enjoyed the Potema read - truly, there is something rotten in the land of Tamriel, for no ruler has ever been completely sane 😜 Ahhh, the Dren plantation. Sings is indeed getting a hard reality check, if that is the correct phrase here, regarding the open arms of House Hlaalu; dismantling the whole system will be necessary, not just taking over a single House! (There will be bloodshed, I'm afraid. Slavers rarely let their precious workers go free. But I think Sings is resolved at this point to do what must be done, cost be damned! We, of course, cheer him on in his endeavors. 😁) And CORKYYYY!!! 🤩 Guars are just too darn lovely. There will be small figurines of them in Skywind, imagine that! 🥰🥰🥰 Hah, come to think of it, I've never given much thought to netch herding! I imagine a long stick might be involved. Or some low level levitation. Or maybe just food.. (A shame we never see little ones! I bet they're cute as heck.) (Not as cute as baby striders would be, tho 🥰😁) Speaking of striders... Rainy evenings in Balmora with the strider's call echoing nearby - that's the essence of the first time I ever tried Morrowind, as a wee lass with pretty much no knowledge of English. Didn't know how to do almost anything back then, but the sound will forever remain in my memory. ...off to Ald'Ruhn we go! Bit of a dry place, that, but lovely in its own way. And wow, I don't think I ever encountered that dead body with the skooma pipe before! 😮😮😮 (Is Tsiya just one of Caius' pseudonyms...? 😜😁) Caldera! What a town. And bless you for the topographical commentary, you really make us see Vvardenfell in a wholly different light 😁 Agreed: finding people based on vague directions is the most frustrating task in the game - it has its charm, sure, but sometimes it can drive me up the wall as I run in circles checking every hillside because it lies ~west of here~ 😆 Kudos to you for actually finding the woman! And glad to see the quest-marker-making found its use! 😊😊 The boxing match was a tough one indeed - for all the books Sings has carried around for many of his scholarly years, he has yet to work on his musculature to stand his own against a Nordic champion! 😅 But it's good to see that with the help of Casper, the Granddad Ghost, he was victorious eventually 😁 And finally, Ald'Ruhn! And a desperate womanizer of supposedly genius intellect! And a warm welcome at the Guild! (And a smooth scholarly linguistics-related remark from you. Full marks!) And Dwemer chronicles, yasss 😎 Good job with the pronunciation! Luckily I daresay there's only a few living people left who actually remember the Dwemer first-hand and could thus correct you - and as we aren't among those people, we're just impressed by your stalwart efforts! 😊 Fun fact: Skink-in-Tree-Shade is actually apparently quite a powerful wizard in his own right...who lives and works smack-right in the middle of Telvanni territory. And is quite the abolitionist, I think...? Sings-like-Cor might just find a like-minded friend! 😁 A lovely episode; will be looking forward to the next one! 😊
Thanks a mill, Hervissa, some glorious moments - enjoyed reading your reflections on them once again!! And yes, don't remember who Tsiya is - but must remember to try and find out
Oh yay!! You ended on that note about Sadrith Mora!! I hope we get to see it in the next episode and maybe learn a little more about House Telvanni!! 🥰🥰🫡🫡 thank you so much for sharing these seriously!! I look forward to them every week!!
I really enjoy it when Sings Like Cor takes a moment to truly appreciate the world around him. I never would have noticed that little Kwama Forager dipping into the water before hastily retreating for dry land. Despite the age of the game, there's still so much beauty in the landscapes.
Yes, I'm surprised with how immersed I find myself to be in it after all these years. Great game!
This is honestly the best "let's play Morrowind" series ever. Thank you, Cor!
Much appreciated!! Glad you're still watching 🌋⚔
Love the instant death by your escortee's hand as you put on all that bravado to fight the rat for him
Yeah, wasn't expecting that 😅💀
That sunrise moment was beautiful to spend with Cor and you guys :3
Thanks for watching along! 😊🌅🌋

It's really great to see some genuine positivity for a change & I am so proud of this community. Glad to be a part of it 😊
Thanks a mill, yes, it seems like people are enjoying it and thus I'm happy! Glad you're tuning in
Heheh I used to do the escort quests walking backwards with the map up so I could keep a constant eye on them.
Hahah good solution! I swear I've completely lost more than one follower in the past
He's not a bore
He's not a chore
He's not a whore
He's Sings-Like-Cor

When I can afford it, I will hire a bard!
I'm really enjoying this series, I like the long videos of it too. Brings back memories.
Delighted to read, thanks! Nostalgia overdosing at times myself
I really love the way the you roleplay with your characters, talking to NPCs and emulating their responses, therefore creating conversation, you truly seem to be passionate about it and take it seriously which i truly enjoy and like about you!

Oh my god, you put skyrim music over the part where you read the wolf queen's biography, I felt nostalgia washing over me hahaha
Couldn't resist!! 🤭
I love the “ edge of tomorrow” type ability you’ve attributed to our protagonist
Thanks yes, Edge of Tomorrow is a better reference than Next (2007)!
'Edge of Tomorrow' is a great film, though I'll admit I hadn't even heard of 'Next'. I like Nicholas Cage as a person but his films are very hit & miss 😂

Been really enjoying this series.
Happy to read, thanks! 😊
This is so entertaining I can't say enough even when you pick flowers it's so peacefully nice 🌸
Delighted! Will keep picking them for sure
Ah, just what I've been waiting for! Dont worry about the delay btw just means more to ration out amongst the rest of the working week.
Good point, thanks! Will keep them weekly, but sometimes the weekend distracts 😊
In this exciting episode Sings-Like-Cor reads books, helps people and gets chased by a near naked Nord for his troubles
Had to watch it in sections due to a busy day but enjoyed this yet again :)
Yes, if that scenario with the Nord was liveaction, it would be quite hysterical to watch! Hope you enjoyed it
This made my day seeing the new part was uploaded! Can't wait for the next one!

Thanks a mill, will keep them coming, though might cut down on the length of them a bit. As I once said: "It's really disrupting my breakfast routine"

Fun fact: Skink-in-Tree-Shade is actually apparently quite a powerful wizard in his own right...who lives and works smack-right in the middle of Telvanni territory. And is quite the abolitionist, I think...?
Sings-like-Cor might just find a like-minded friend! 😁
A lovely episode; will be looking forward to the next one! 😊
Thanks a mill, Hervissa, some glorious moments - enjoyed reading your reflections on them once again!! And yes, don't remember who Tsiya is - but must remember to try and find out
Visit the Caldera Ebony Mine and you will see why the town is called Caldera.
Will definitely do!
Do you sing in real life? I am curious what inspired this name
Only on Friday afternoons and it doesn't sound nice 🤭
Only 24 minutes in - tbh, I used to cheat the npcs' speed and athletics up so they could keep up
I did as well during some later play throughs after my first time with the game.
i replayed 24:35 like 5 times lmaooa
😅🙈
Happy to see more adventures! Give us more Sings-Like-Cor!
More on the way indeed!
Oh yay!! You ended on that note about Sadrith Mora!! I hope we get to see it in the next episode and maybe learn a little more about House Telvanni!! 🥰🥰🫡🫡 thank you so much for sharing these seriously!! I look forward to them every week!!
I have to admit, I can't wait going there as well! Thanks for sticking along 😊🌋❄⚡⚔🔥
