- Did you know that FALSE LABOR is a thing?! I sure did not!
The final stretch started rough - I woke up in the middle of the night with contraction, thinking that "this is it". 12 hours later, it just stopped.
I was dumbfounded, angry and confused all at once.
Throughout my pregnancy, I've been practicing hypnobirthing. One of the key element of this practice is to trust your body. So I put myself back together, focus on self-care, read audiobooks and did all of the nice things as I continue on this pregnancy journey. The 39th week has been a huge learning curve, and I continue to feel thankful for the opportunity to experience everything.

Heads up: if this happens again, go get checked!!! With my first, I had the same thing and when I called the doctor's office they told me it was false labor. Over 1 week later, with a repeat performance happening daily, I had an *extremely* sharp pain in a very weird spot so we just went in. Come to find out, best they could tell, I'd been going into labor that would then stall.....every single freaking day! So just be careful, and keep listening to your tricky body! Yes, with my daughter I went in the morning with what I thought was labor. They sent me home with false labor...later that day around 6 I went in again with same pains...delivered by 7! Ha!
I ultimately did have a very quick labor, so it must’ve been doing something for me! But I did have to be induced at 41 weeks

Thanks for the update. I was wondering if you had your son yet. If you get the urge to clean up, it's called "nesting" and the birth will soon follow. I had the cleaning urge for a couple of days before the birth of my son. My husband had a hard time getting me to go to bed, the urge was so strong. Good luck with everything. Cheers from Canada
