Very nice interview Ânia with Alex. Good probing questions and it's lovely to hear Alex genuinely tested, reflecting and analysing himself! Well done!

Thank you for this interview post. Alex and Ania, you were both engaging. As Alex noted, a great artistic endeavour is to express emotion -- to paint beyond what you see and know. In answer to your call for our "go-to colours", Ania, at this early stage in my art journey, I would have to say FRENCH ULTRAMARINE BLUE, ALIZARIN CRIMSON and QUINACRIDONE YELLOW.

I wish it hadn't ended so soon & abruptly. I wanted to hear more about depicting light, temperature, wind. 😍

@@EtchrLab I really liked the colour discussion about complimentary mixing, it reminded me of what an art teacher once told me, he used the term 'dance around the greys' to create cohesive and balanced combinations.

Hey Ania that was an awesome interview. I love Alex’s work, so much so I am proposing a program at a lodge called Art for Seniors. I am developing a sketchbook body of work and if successful I will get a grant approved. Once that happens I will purchase Alex’s book and his workshop. So thanks so much for this interview as it confirmed my choice.

I use cerulean blue and bright red to make greys.
