    Strong machines. I own a pro turn 160. Now is in the shop at 400 hours hit a 2×3 angle iron bar... and broke the bolt in the spindle but I just noticed at 430 hours on machine... And keep running 10 hours more. Man this spindle are awesome...

    I really appreciate the in depth comparison and the detail on the blades, spindles, starters, etc. Thank you.

    Bought my first zero last weekend. Went with the hd 48, researched almost a year and finally pulled the trigger. Great machine so far. Hope everything holds up.

    Pretty nice review 👌. Even the lower end series seems like a great value for a small commercial operation or as back up units🤷 mowers really have came along way from 30 years ago.

    Love my Pro ZX 52! Thanks Gravely for offering it.

      We love that machine as well. It has really been a great fit for many customers looking for more than just entry level commercial machine, but don't need something designed for mowing all day, every day.

    Thank you for the review! These are the two mowers I am considering and this review has been very helpful in my decision process. I wish you were my local dealer!

    Definitely an awesome review from a very knowledgeable person! I learned so much about the machine frames, forged blade spindles, gator blades, etc. Thanks. I have the 60HD and its usually too bumpy to mow at full speed so max speed doesn't matter too much to me. Maybe when going down the street to help a neighbor out. If my Kawasaki FR starter needs replaced someday would the FX starter fit??

      @LubeSuppliersStore  5 лет назад +1

      We've never tried installing an FX starter on a FR engine - our best guess is it would be possible but may require some modifications to the shroud. In addition, the Shift style starter typically would be recommended with a larger battery than what is found on many FR powered machines.

    I just bought the ZT-HD 60 12/21/19 and for your average Joe that has a few Acres to mow this unit is the bee's knee's! when it come to mowers. This seat will probably put it over the top! If I were using it to make a living I would have to consider the Pro model because the FX engine was design to be worked in a harsher environment (hence the better Air Filtering system made by Donaldson) Those of us that have diesel tractors will recognize this air filter can.. How much for the kit?

    So would you say theZT 2800 hydros are a good, long lasting solution to your average homeowner like myself that is always on top of maintaining his equipment like I do? I bought a Cub Cadet ZT1 about a month ago. It came with the EZT 2200 hydros that cannot be serviced. I thought I'd be okay with that but I then returned it and I bought a ZT2 with ZT 2800 hydros. I just feel a lot better knowing I can service them on a regular basis.

    The HD mowers have a nasty vibration issue in the tensioning system that Ariens Co hasn’t been able to come up with proper fix yet. Was asking if the pro turns have identical issue.

    • @LubeSuppliersStore
      @LubeSuppliersStore  5 лет назад +4

      The decks are the same so vibration would be similar. We sell hundreds of these and don't get complaints on vibration. You will notice higher levels of vibration on the smaller decks such as 44 as there is less "dampening" effect. The newest version of the HD updated mid-summer 2019 has some new changes to reduce "rattles" though unless you have a high sensitivity to these noises, it hasn't been an issue and would be similar to most other mowers we service from other brands.

    I am still deciding on which Gravely. For me it is just residential and only have 1.5 acres but half of it is bahia grass which is touch for any mower.

    Would like to your input, I purchased a ZT HD 52 last October, my dealer was upfront with the known deck rattle issue but assured me Gravely was aware and working on a fix, now 8 months later, being told a repair kit is ready but not released by Gravely yet. Have you had any mowers with the same issue and any repairs?

    Is that mower similar to the Ariens Apex?

    How much is the seat kit for an hd60?
    Was excited thought I was going to get the better mower for $400 more. Untill I heard you say $2000 at the end. Yep this $400 more is a pro turn z60 not a zx60. Not sure what z60 comes with so probably just getting the hd60.

    Nice machines, I love mowers lol. I bought myself a Ariens Ikon X in September ( only got to mow the lawn once lol) and I see a lot like a Gravely. Does one company own the other?

    Do you have a comparison between the Pro Turn Z and ZX? I can tell the difference is the engine and hydros but is there anything else?
    What would you recommend for a 5 acre homeowner on pretty rough land?

    My Gravely ZT-HD 60 would cut grass in the Rocky Mountains if needed. I cut Hell's famous half acre and shit in satan's mouth as I was loading that bad boy on the trailer. I have changed the world with my Gravely ZT-HD.

      Both brands have mowers that work but there are clear differences. When we speak with dealers who offer both brands, the Gravely Zero Turns significantly outsell the Deere...
