3x3 Example Solves

A lot of mistakes with my explanation because I'm not very good at improvisation, please understand this!

Haha, thanks mate! I think all the young chinese cubers like Wang Yiheng and Xu Ruihang have really proved that you don't exactly need to be colour neutral to be fast - I guess it's all preference and what feels comfortable for the individual person

Also how important is it to you to do pairs which are next to each other than doing diag pairs

I will generally do pairs next to each other, but if I really can't find anything else, then I probably will do diag pairs. It all just depends on the scramble, and how good the loookahead is, because if I can predict the rest of F2L from solving the first pair, then solving a diag case doesn't really make a difference.
