Beacause I wasn't a minor they didnt guve me a break and I used to work 8 hour shifts and have to do overtime because they didn't have enough people and people were late. Then one of my managers cussed me out because I didnt know what I was doing and it was my first real job. And I hadn't even been working there for a year. It's so much more ti the story than this. But I zmoved to a different location with the same resturant and they had enough people but breaks didn't exist to them. We only got breaks when it was light which wasn't most of the time. So I ended uo getti g fured because I missed a day if work because they had 5 or 6 schedules put up and I made a mistake and looked at the wrong one. And kther people were able to do no call no shows and I do it once and it was on accudent and I got fire. I understa d I should be more careful and it was my fault but that was just straight favoritism rught there.

This is a America - - why go to a job you hate? You have to work to find a job you like. It’s not going to land on your lap. If you have a good work ethic, don’t call off, and show up for work on time most likely that employer will promote you or give you hours that work for you. Just because you have job doesn’t mean you need to work there forever! Always keep the door open to move on. Whether it’s for more money, benefits, better working conditions, or better schedule that works for you. If folks have this desire to fight corporate America (only to lose - unfortunately) they should use that energy to try and improve their themselves.

@@ryanrosenblum2552 In America, you got literally nothing, so you have to take any job you can get. Or else, you know,. DIE.
What you're saying is that if a robber holds a gun to your head and demands your phone, and you hand him your phone, then that's all your. fault because you made the choice. That's the logic you're using.
"suck it up life is hard" How pathetic. You hear that Harriet Tubman? Don't complain and run away, just "suck it up life is hard and you're not special"

While it's true that many billionaire companies pay their entry-level employees low wages, you have to remember that these sort of jobs were never intended to be careers. A McDonalds employee who has work there makes minimum wage. Managers and other higher ups in the company make far more. Managers who oversee multiple store locations can easily make 6 figures a year. You wouldn't pay an entry-level employee who has been on the job for 3 weeks the same wage as a store manager who oversees 5 different stores. Use fast food jobs as a jumping-off point, not a career (unless you want to work your way up through the company).

You would not, but the hierarchy pay should be a bit closer. It is kind of sad to see that it is not enough to even get to the job each day. That is what people are fighting against.
For instance, you show up for a job with them, when THEY are hiring for it (shows the employees is at least trying to help them out) and THEY, the franchise, is not even paying enough for their own employee to show up and do the job that THEY, the franchise, is hiring for.

"There is no reason why I should get a second job when these multibillion dollar companies have the money to pay me in the work that I do." How about this? Get an education and get a proper job? So much entitlement. It is pathetic. Just as pathetic as affirmative action where people are hired without skills to do a job just to fill a race and gender quota.

What if everyone did that? Then the market would be so saturated that they probably still would be low paid. Not to mention, fast food jobs are just that, jobs. Tell a CEO of a fast food chain that they need to get a proper job.

I noticed how the video carefully avoided talking about how many fast food chains offer employees scholarship/educational opportunists, as well as pay their store/regional managers much higher than a new hire who has been on the job for two weeks. There is actually quite a lot of opportunity in the fast food industry if you work towards it. My brother in law began working at Wendy's as an entry-level employee making minimum wage. He worked his way up to manager, and now he oversees 5 individual store locations in his area, making over 6 figures a year. I agree, this video is utter nonsense.
