I passed my CBT last Wednesday and had my v-cruise delivered the day after and been on it everyday since! Someone with zero road experience with a gear bike and the v-cruise just makes me feel more confident daily! Not stalled the bike once and stalled it multiple times doing my CBT! It’s so easy to ride for new riders and I’m sure the RKV is the same.
Passed my CBT last Friday and went to IN2MOTO to have a look round. Am now a proud owner of the Keeway RKV 125 (Red tank). Can't wait to start riding. Thank you for your review on this model.
Going to go for the V Cruiser for my first bike. Love the all black style Tweeks, that's what does it for me. Only info I haven't found is does the digital display give a fuel gauge reading? Great reviews and very useful for me. Thank you.
Should watch his full reviews on them if you haven't already, really puts your mind at ease regarding the Chinese side of things... other channels have the V-Cruise 125 in the number 1 spot in top 10 polls. Would definitwly watch other reviews on them and i think it would show you they're not as bad as a lot of folk make out.... p.s... i don't work for Keeway 😂 but will definitely be going for the V-Cruise for completing my CBT 👍🏻
Same here. None in the country till 16th of sept for the rkv. Was gutted. Passed my cbt, put a deposit down, recalled the week it was going to finally get to me. Not going to change bike though. Looks too good 😂
Are you 100% sure V-Cruise doesn't have ABS? I saw ABS encoder disks in your video 3:14, and only 1 cable entering the caliper. For CBS, 2 cables should enter each caliper, or a joiner. Sadly, Keeway is not stating on their website CBS or ABS, and I don't have physically access to one.
This is taken from the keeway website The front brake features a 300mm slotted front disc and a radially mounted caliper to give more bite when suddenly braking. The rear is a similarly large disc as it comes in at a size of 240mm. The Keeway does not feature ABS, but it does features CBS braking which provides and extra layer of safety for the riders when having to suddenly brake.
@@GillyBikes Thanks for your reply. Yes I will try one, it does seem a bit of a shame, considering the youth nowadays are approximately 2inches taller. Most reviews of bikes have people that are under 6ft. I think manufacturers need to give an option for tall people!
@TheKimgower I agree with you. It seems to have changed. Being small myself I remember all the bikes I wanted being to tall for me. Now they all seem fine. I’m not complaining but if I was over 6ft I would be. It seems like only the big adventure bikes would fit you properly
I am 6ft 2in as well as you and had exactly the same question. Went down to my local Keeway dealer and sat on the RKV today and honestly feels very very comfortable. The tank is nice and wide too which gives a bit of extra compensation for those with longer legs. They did not have any of the V-Cruise in so can’t give anything on that but think I’ll be buying the RKV!
Great review thanks. I’m 79, last rode in the 1960s, msg quickly, bsa bantam 150, c11. etc. fancy a return and planning cbt shortly. 6 feet 2 inches, 90 kg. What’s going to be my best bet for comfortable cruising ? All advice appreciated, Terry
All depends on your budget. I really like the v-cruise. I know they have deals on them at the moment but they are still expensive just under 5k. On the cheaper side keeway sell the Superlight as well which is half the price.
I’ve spent so long thinking about this. 😂. It’s a lot of money for a couple of changes. Personally I would save £1000 and get the RKV. They look just as good.
if the V-Cruise had ABS, it would be my only choice. Unfortunately, CBS is a deal breaker for me so I'll almost certainly end up with the Yamaha XSR125.
I have a 90hp Sportster, no ABS and a 200hp B-king again no ABS. Don't get hung up on "it hasn't got ABS, traction control etc", etc. Combined brakes are good, my 2013 US Spec Goldwing had combined brakes instead of ABS, never had a problem stopping, it weighed 390kg! If you like the V-cruise buy it.
Pity the batck of RKV 125 s that came in for August delivery have all been recalled. Ive been waiting since the start of August for the delivery of my one, the day before i was to pick the bike up, they phoned and told me that it was going back to the supplier on a recall. Gutted. Its now the 20th of August and still no bike and nothing but excuses. As for the V-Cruise. Apparently the belt drives on quiet a lot of them are snapping. Not a good sign from Keeway!!!
hi was told the same from my dealer a day before picking it, recall on the bike to replace a mount on engine ,3 weeks later i got the bike , yesterday , other dealer did not no anything about this recall for the rkv 125c , ????? one more were the do top rad up at on this bike ,looks like tank off job,
I have my CBT on 17th December and obviously im checking different bikes out. I thought id decided on a Benelli BN 125 but now that I've seen your videos on the RKV , I have fallen in love ( with the bike , not you, apologies 😂). I am thinking , would it be possible to buy the mirrors off the V-cruise and have them put on the RKV? The RKV is almost a grand more than I was going to spend on the Benelli, but the RKV has something thats just made me want it so so bad! ❤❤
I don’t blame you. The RKV is a gorgeous looking bike. The mirrors do look better on the v-cruise you could certainly get some aftermarket similar ones. But importantly if you got to know me I’m sure you would love me as well. 😂😂😂
I agree. A £1000 isn’t a little bit of money unless you have lots of money. Both bikes are nice. The V-cruise is better but it comes down to personal opinion. Is it £1000 better? I would say yes. But I’m sure others would say no.
I’ve looked at the websites and they say the v-cruise is lighter, 140kg, and the RK-V is 160 in running order. Are those curb weights or “running order”?
I can’t wait to get one what’s people opinion please m doing my cbt in a few weeks I know how to ride a gear bike used to ride motocross but don’t interest me anymore want something comfortable and cool looking I my dream bike is a Harley Davison fat bob
To be totally honest when i first seen a Keeway I thought they were just that. I thought they were just another brand selling cheap unreliable bikes from China, BUT in the years they have been sending bikes over to us their standards have really improved. especially these 2 models. They have created 2 very good bikes here. I would say they are going to pass Royal Enfield soon if they carry on like they are, however at the moment in the UK they seem to be focusing on the smaller capacity bikes 125cc etc. I believe they also own MBP and if you take a look at their C1002V Model which ive reviewed I would say that is much better than anything Ive seen from RE.
Sorry to hear that. I don’t actually work in the trade so I don’t sell anything. I just ride bikes and tell people what I think. I never had any issues on the day with these bikes. But I do leave comments on so people can let others know about their own experiences. I like to hear both positive and negative so I get a better understanding from owners. Also people considering buying, that watch my review can also look through the comments and see what experiences others have had.
They are made in china so I would bet they are. I think they might be under a different name. Possibly under the name “Benda” over there. Let me know if you find them 👍

There is no feeling like it. Enjoy your new bike. Ride safe 😎
Well done
Ay congratulations mate! I got my CBT coming up but I wish I went for this bike, I went for the UM renegade sport as it's abit lighter

Congrats. They look awesome in red. 👍
You missed coolant reservoir - it is literary a pain to check coolant level on RKV, and you will need to take off the fuel tank to add coolant.
Going to go for the V Cruiser for my first bike. Love the all black style Tweeks, that's what does it for me. Only info I haven't found is does the digital display give a fuel gauge reading? Great reviews and very useful for me. Thank you.
did u buy it? I am thinking of Yamaha XSR125 as I dont trust these Chinese brands.

I havent been on a bike for a while but these look brilliant!
They really are. Definitely worth considering if you are thinking about starting on 2 wheels again?
V Cruise for me but both lovely looking bikes which look bigger than a 125cc
The v-cruise would be my choice as well.
They are both gorgeous 😻
I agree with you. Great looking bikes
Both look great, not sure there's £1000 bewteen them..? I'd take the RKV but replace the bars...
Not a bad idea. Certainly cheaper.
Same here. None in the country till 16th of sept for the rkv. Was gutted. Passed my cbt, put a deposit down, recalled the week it was going to finally get to me.
Not going to change bike though. Looks too good 😂
It’s worth the wait 😎
Thanks for your reviews. Will you be testing the X-Light ?
Hopefully get one out soon 👍
Will you be reviewing the 300cc version?
Absolutely. As soon as they land in the showrooms I will be straight there.

They seem to be made for shorties, any Idea if a 6ft 2in would find there legs up to high. Ie knees higher than hip joint.
They do suit a shorter rider. You would definitely have to go and sit on one to make sure.

@jamesharwood9584 the v cruise is slightly bigger. But not by much. The RKV is awesome.

On the keeway website, it says they are the same dimensions
Great video. One question….putting looks to one side, is the v cruise actually worth the extra 1k?

I didn’t have a problem with the breaks but ABS is a good safety feature to have.

A thousand pounds is not a little more, especially considering their little difference. But they are both lovely-looking bikes.
I agree. A £1000 isn’t a little bit of money unless you have lots of money. Both bikes are nice. The V-cruise is better but it comes down to personal opinion. Is it £1000 better? I would say yes. But I’m sure others would say no.

I would say that is running order. The RKV has a bigger fuel tank etc. so the weight creeps up.
What's the top speed for the V cruise? Is there a Remap option?
According to the book the top speed is 75mph. I’ve no idea about remapping.
I can’t wait to get one what’s people opinion please m doing my cbt in a few weeks I know how to ride a gear bike used to ride motocross but don’t interest me anymore want something comfortable and cool looking I my dream bike is a Harley Davison fat bob
That’s my Harley pick as well. The fat bob is the best Harley I’ve ever ridden.
I prefer the red colour!!
i want this swap mine k light
Do you know if it has a fuel level gauge/ display???
I thought it had, but looking back I don’t think it has. I can’t see one on my review and all of the pics don’t show one. 😳
@@GillyBikes mhhh this is concerning. It's something I would really like to know before I buy it and when I'm riding the bike. Thanks for checking
I have a RKV and at 6f 6in and 61 it's a bit small but I don't care I love the bike
I would bet every bike is a bit small for you. Infact every house will be a bit small for you at 6”6. I’m not jealous at all 😭😭😭
is it comfortable for 2 people ride?
Comfort yes, but these are 125cc so the weight of 2 people will effect performance.
What's the mileage of both bikes????
Both brand new. 0 miles.
just got the rkv , do not think v. c is 1000 pounds more of bike,
It’s a lot of money for a little bit better. I would be happy with the RKV they are great bikes.
Apart from it looks a 1000 pounds better
Cant get one at the moment. Either.
Popular bikes. Apparently they are selling very quickly. Might to a few months if you order one
Recall on the RKV apparently. V Cruise due Oct
What’s the recall for?
engine mount i was told@@GillyBikes
@colinharrison5501 thanks for the info.
Hello, how tall are you ?
5ft 8inches
@@GillyBikes thanks. What do you think? Would it be comfortable for my 173 cm height
Thats 5ft 8inches so you would be fine on these.
ΝΑ ΜΕ ΕΝΗΜΈΡΩΣΗΣ ΤΟ 125cc ΕΙΝΑΙ ΔΥΟ ΚΥΛΊΝΔΡΟΥΣ ΜΕ ΑΒΣ;;
The v-cruise has a two-cylinder, liquid cooled four stroke engine with a displacement of 125cc. For breaks it has CBS.
Should not be as worst as SR125
Looking trim Gilly - running round the shower to get wet soon
I’m trying. Still a few stone to go.

Wouldn't trust anything made in china.
I would stick with Yamaha for reliability, fuel economy, practicality , & servicing.
Which is what everyone said about the Jap bikes when they first came to England. Times change.
Typical salesman talk, I bought the rkv and had constant electronic failures in wet weather, got rid of it, cheap rubbish in my opinion.
