@@lassydogpie5390 The right wing mirror kept flopping down when I went over 50mph and the bloody Oxford dealership said they couldn't fix it for 6 weeks! Not great so I f*cked them off and bought some other official ones from the website. It was my first bike after a 125 Keeway and I did like it but it isn't really a Harley, if you know what I mean. Last weekend, I PX it for a 2018 Breakout, now that rocks and I'm REALLY happy with it.
I own one, and it's an awesome bike. Gearing is smooth, no fight for neutral. The wide tires makes it feel so planted to the road and safest I've felt on a bike since I got my cbt . It's definitely better than something from lexmoto or sinnis ( I've owned 2 lexmotos ) . slow speed menuvers are so easy on the v125 that I never felt like putting my foot down on u turn like I did on lexmoto isca .
Have just bought one, my first bike, and whilst I have yet to ride it as it is still being set up/checked this video has me looking forward to riding it so much more! I am 5ft 3..just, and it is amazingly comfortable for me to sit on and reach everything.
@@reeseprince8its a good bike, the tank holds fuel well. Have recently had someone rear end me at lights and its a pretty sturdy build so no damage other then the licence plate. How long have you both had that bike I'm assuming it's very similar to the keeway. I'm busy trying to decide what to gwt for my first bike and I can't make my mind up.
That’s got to be the best looking 125 out there, if only the big four could put something on the market that looked this nice instead of that curly plastic tat they keep churning out, if I was new to biking and didn’t know any better, I’d have one of these and be happy about owning it.
Seems great bike, bit expensive to start your bike journey but looks like a solid bike. Hope they bring out custom exhausts like the dragstars silvertail. Thank you for the review 😊
Keyway appear to have taken a significant step in quality with this one. At the bike show, the models on show had the usual budget-driven fittings such as thin, flimsy brake and gear levers for example. I forget which model it was but one of their "cruisers" had a ridiculous 12" long gear lever instead of a more appropriately designed linkage for the forward controls. This RKV125 looks much better in every way. Apart from the exhaust system of course which will turn orange within a week and be cornflakes within a year. I'll bet it's excluded from the warranty too. A real shame. Excellent review fellas, as usual. Thank you 👌
You're the same height and a kinda similar bodytype to me so it's like a little advanced view of what I'd look like on this haha. Great video, thanks for putting it up.

Nice looking bike. I would have been more than happy to start my biking on one of these (rather than the MZ125 that I did start on, way back in the mists of time). And it is a stylish commuter option.
Well done ! Keeway is trying to settle itself as a premium brand from now on, like if it was a sort of "chinese honda". This model was just the start of all of it. There's also the V-CRUISE 125, the V-CRUISE 302C (300cc engine), the M502N (500cc engine), and few more coming out soon, like the Keeway: Benda Darkflag 500cc, MBP C650V, Keeway Benda LFC + LFS 700cc, MBP C1002V... And their price tags come close to a premium japanese motorcycle brand as its CCs go up.
Wouldnt have even considered a 125 up until the last 2-3 years. They now look premium and a fraction of the price. Sound is getting alot better aswell. Just need to lose the L plates for geared bikes and were perfect
Love the look of this bike. Will you be reviewing the V302C when it's available? Looking for a cheap cruiser that I can ride and keep my Rocket for better weather. At the moment, it's a toss up between a Meteor and the V302C. I've already sourced a bigger seat for the 302, so I can carry a pillion.
Great vid👍 This is the bike for me I’ll be taking the CBT in a few months so is the keeway v cruise 125 and rkv 125 the same bike? Or should I wait and see how the v cruise 125 is?

In general the average height of people has increased by 2inches over the last 40/50 year's but they still keep making motorbikes for average heights of 5ft 7in which to be honest is short theses days, when you see teenagers that could challenge a giraffe. It really is about time manufacturers gave more options for tall riders.
Interestingly, I bought the k light after watching this channel (over a year ago) and have done ten thousand miles on it. But this new bike is tempting…

same doubt here, the outlaw I like the price, the power and the abs, the rkv doesn't have abs and doesn't seem to reach much speed, on the other hand it seems more comfortable for tall people like me.
I'm pretty sure the Outlaw doesn't have ABS either. The RKV has more horses, but the Outlaw is quicker being much lighter. But yeah, big difference in price
I've been contemplating getting one as my friend has one, but he said he can only get his up to 55mph at a push going downhill down the A5, he's not big but about 20 stone, so whether the weight is slowing him down or not I'm unsure, but watching your vid it also looks like you're struggling to hit top end also so would it be worth it for a weekend ride around bike you think?
I used to be a stove enameler back in the late 70s and used to get lots of dirt bike lads bringing me there exusts to shot blast and paint when the standaard factory mat black had started to rust mainly on the down pipe they tended to last around 3 years before they needed new paint i used to also paint most engine parts as well but in satin silver or satin black always looked better than new

A cool little bike. Are bigger HP bikes heavily taxed in the UK? Is this why 125s are just about everywhere or specially for A2 licenses? The front LED light is a knockoff of Zontes GK350 version.
We also have a thing called a CBT (compulsory basic training) in the UK. It's a one day course you have to take before you can ride a motorcycle up to 125cc. It's valid for 3 years so a lot of people will just do this and gain a bit of experience riding before taking the tests for their full licence
Hi mark , a v twin , looks quality too , people are going have to remember the Japanese would charge £5200 for that and they’ll never make a small capacity. V twin again , any chance you could test the new lexmoto rss 125 , it looks great and is for peanuts 🏍🏍👍👍
My local Keeway dealer will not entertain these. They feel that the Suprlight and K-Light are great, but will not stock this one. They feel that the twin will go the same way as the AJS Highway Star...which was only imported for 1 year. This saddens me, if true! What are the views of the owners here?
That is a weird assumption for them to make as the Highway may share the tank and rear end but that was a parallel twin from the old DD125....not the same.
Hi, The Keeway is too early to tell, but it seems to have a better engine and all the good design points of the Highway star, I would say it is a better bike.
If you maintain and clean the bike, properly, rust won't be a problem. My daughter's friend has just sold here Superlight, 6 years old, ridden in all weather, kept outside on the coast, only very minimal signs of corrosion. Likewise, my daughter's Superlight is 4 years old, ridden in all weathers, stored outside under a cover by the coast, had from new still looks almost like new. The key maintenance and cleaning, and acf-50, or similar.
@Pj Mack Nonsense, I've had chinese bikes for years, upto and including 650cc, none have ever let me down, and none have suffered corrosion issues more than my Triump America does.. The VanVan is no more easy or difficult to maintain than pretty much any other basic 125 from any other manufacturer.
Early on in the video, there's a full on rear view and the number plate bracket is clearly well on the p*ss. What worries me still with Chinese bikes is, that should not pass final inspection for
I’m 69 and passed my bike test in 1970 but my son’s Keeway Superlight 125 is the most comfortable bike I’ve ever ridden 👌👍👍👍

Hi, The Keeway is too early to tell, but it seems to have a better engine and all the good design points of the Highway star, I would say it is a better bike.
How does this compare to the k light?
It looks great, but how long will it last is the question?
@bucketheadothers2384 Depends how well it is looked after...
They could still do a stainless exhaust in black!
Thinking about this for my first bike, I'm a bit concerned about rust though. Any recommendations?
Brand new Road legal thumpstar 125 £1600- £1800. Or the Benelli TNT 125 £2300
ACF50
@@tonysmih4796 What did you get for the Superlights when you sold them? I am looking at one around the same age.
Wats top speed on the flat
Early on in the video, there's a full on rear view and the number plate bracket is clearly well on the p*ss. What worries me still with Chinese bikes is, that should not pass final inspection for
A estas motos no se le pueden poner unos escapes más ruidosos o es aún muy pronto porque son nuevas
What's the best bike you have ever reviewed??
Hmmm, difficult....probably MV Agusta DragsterRR
@@motorsforthemasses Ah, but what's the best 125 you have reviewed?
What’s top speed of this bike?
Back of the headlight is a bit strange! I would rather a traditional casing
any tips on bikes that are 125cc cruiser style but dont sound like a glorified hair dryer (high pitch wine) and sounds like a harley or indian?
Hyosung GV125
Similar headlamp etc to my new um renegade vegas
I'm thinking of getting this will be fine for me I'm 6ft 3 inches tall
Can't see why not. Take a seat on one.
What happened to the mirror?
That exhaust will be a Rust magnet.
Box was in perfect condition so maybe happened en-route, or whilst packaged, everything else was fine.
Nice ride. Nice price..
If it said Honda on the tank the MSM would go bonkers over this bike.
How much is road tax on this? 👍
The plastic on that reflector makes it look like a lollipop.
