The grade boundaries for chemistry A level for OCR is horrifying honestly, how are people getting over 90% in the papers?!?!? I’m so scared for my first one on Monday omg
What a guy I really enjoy these videos!! Keep up your hard work bud. Feel free to give me a shoutout I teach ks3 maths gcse and a level maths and further maths!! Keep this up. The energy is golden!! Don’t ever lose it.
@@JakeClarke thanks haha I feel guilty I’m a bit of a snake (a good educated snake hopefully) but you made me laugh at the beginning about super powers for liking and subscribing proper enticing haha. I really hope I really 1k soon lol!! Sorry for the desperation aha.
my teacher told me that relying on cgp textbooks will guarantee u a grade B maximum and that they miss key info.. do they cover absolutely everything in the spec?
I used to get A* last year in paps and mocks, now my test results dropped to a B/ high C. I’m frustrated cuz I my motivation just vanished and I only have a few weeks left and so much to learn. Wahhhhhh.
Professor Leonard on youtube. He goes into a lot of detail, so might not be the most time efficient, but if you have the time, his courses will give a really good understanding
The problem is tho when you have to learn everything by yourself since your chem teacher is not good enough doesn't understand half the concepts its so stressful
Am I doing A-levels ? No Am I watching the video? Yes Why? Because I enjoy watching Jake’s vids 😂 I’m starting year 11 so I guess I can pick up a few revision tips 😂🙋🏻♀️
To do this brilliantly in a level chemistry did you begin your revision in the summer of year 11 or just start revision when you began in year 12? I've also seen that you can get two books, one covering one year of the course and the other the second year, these are also cgp, do you think the one that you used is more effective than this? Also, did you sit AS level chem?
Thank you so much !! Just wondering whether you just used the cgp book as the main source of your info ?!!! I'm rlly struggling at the moment !! Do you think i can turn my B grade into a A* grade by end of sept ?
Out of curiosity will unis use GCSE grades to differentiate students with the same A level results? I’m hoping they are lenient to students who were teacher assessed(I have great results just thought I would have done even better in some if I took them).
@@JakeClarke ahhahah i worded that shitly. I really want to drop one of the two but im NOT SURE which one yet. I just feel like 4 a levels is already too hard. And im doing 3 super hard subjects Great video btw !
@@gxtlb4892 i did chem maths fm and physics and it worked out pretty good for me for engineering, got my cambridge interview in a few hours Defo drop eco looks so shit in year 2
hey don’t give up, last year i was getting D’s and C’s due to not studying at all and thinking i could act like A-levels are GCSE, you can definitely reach an A star you just need to find your personal method of studying that fits how you feel. I’m year 13 currently so i understand your pain
@jake Clarke I just started year 10 and I have no clue on how to Finish all these cgp books I have one for math English sciences and french science . Do you think I’ll be able to finish them by next year April and have grade 9
I mean there’s probably more efficient things you could do if it’s just for the PS but yeah it makes you stand out a little more. Honestly starting my channel was the best decision I ever made
Hi , I'm an international student and in my country, we also sit for A-levels, but we only have 1 exam board... I'm trying to understand the difference, if there is any, between the exam boards in the UK like OCR, EDEXCEL, AQA etc.... because I'm not sure which study guides to buy as there are many and unfortunately our exam board doesn't offer them :((
The differences between the exam boards in the UK is mostly the mark schemes, each exam board has a different way to answer the questions, but the content learnt is about the same
@@JakeClarke it’s uplearn I made a typo it’s an online course that a lot of private schools use it’s super expensive but it guarantees that if you complete the daily tasks everyday roughly 45 mins a day you will get an A* or A at worst or your money back it’s sooo expensive though £600 per subject but I’ve used a free trial and it uses a really clever algorithm to essentially perfectly pin point weaknesses and help you fix them not sure if I should get it it’s a lot of money

I feel like I’ve just forgotten all the AS content over summer 😭 this video was very needed thanks Jake 🙌🏾

Yeah can do! I’ll be doing one for maths too :))
