For my long-term followers, you will have noticed that I've been remaking some earlier videos. I'm remaking my A* videos and will be releasing them over the course of this week. I then plan to move on to making content that I find more interesting. If you have any ideas for what you'd like to see (not related to A-levels) then I'd really appreciate it ❤️
Started watching you Ray before 500 subs, now you have 6.7k! Wow how times flies, thank you for all of your help and I can't wait for more amazing content from you!
@Pranjal I really get you, last week I also felt like I was going to absolutely dump these exams. But then I remembered a) I can’t waste my moms money that she paid to write the exams b) I can’t not get decent marks to enter my dream university. That’s what Is motivating me. Don’t worry, breathe. Forget about your horrible chem teacher and just move foward because lingering on that won’t help. Start with a study plan, start with a past paper to see your weaknesses and then study from that. WE STILL HAVE TIME. I’m also crippling here with anxiety, it’s rough out here haha. I hope this helped and I’m so sorry for your circumstances.
@Pranjal good luck with studying these exams, if you want (you can say no,I’ll totally understand) I can contact you and we can be study buddies or accountability buddies. Since we are in such similar circumstances... if not, I have a tip! Watching study with me’s on YT really help to not get distracted.
@Pranjal haha don’t worry I’ve also been shameless this week... I can give you my ig for now and we can communicate there so we don’t cloud the comments lol
Nice video !! also during the final 3 weeks of AS level, life before first exam begins how many hours were you putting in and like what was your general study routine during this time
That sounds like a pretty good idea although I think either Physics Online or Science Shorts has already done that on YouTbue. Also, you can find all the maths required towards the end of the A-level specification (I believe the main part is exponentials / logarithms?)
hi ray, i had a quick question regarding the resources you uploaded for chem math and phy, and i was wondering whether the same flash cards would work for cie as and a levels cuz i wasn’t really sure also, tysm for uploading them so selflessly and for the immense help you’ve given us thank you ❤️
No worries and I honestly have no idea unfortunately. I would recommend looking and comparing the OCR Specification to the CIE one. I imagine there's at least 80-90% of an overlap bur they may want different keywords used which you can pick up on by doing practice questions and past papers
Hey Ray I’m doing the exact same A levels as you and I want to do physics at Cambridge too, and I want to know if you did a STEP exam In order todo physics
Ah fortunately you don't have to do STEP to apply for physics. I would recommend looking at the undergraduate courses page of the Cambridge website to get a sense of what's required for different courses
hey ray! i’ve been using your techniques and they are so effective. But i’ve been having trouble with memory even though I am using anki - i end up still forgetting so much content. For example this week i’ve revised 3 chemistry topics , and i only did electrochemistry a week ago but i still keep forgetting it all despite understanding it very well last week - and able to get all the flash cards right and do past paper questions correctly . Do you have any advice for what to do ?
Hi Ray, I’m wondering if you would make the ‘Advice and Extra Content’ document available to your subscribers? It clearly has a lot of extremely useful and easily forgettable info🙂
Hey so I think I’ll try to. I will need to caveat the information a lot but I’m increasingly been thinking that it will be valuable. I’ll try to over the next week but do chase me up on this by commenting or sending me an email and I will share the link when it’s ready :)
cgp has them for every board, i do chemistry ocr b which isnt that common and cgp still had a good one for it, other than that you should just use the one they give you at school that is made for your exam board. For practice questions you dont need to buy much just use free resources online like PhysicsMathsTutor and RUclips videos explaining each concept
I personally don't think any textbooks are worth the money (given you can find most end-of-chapter questions online) - as for the CGP Revision Guides, they're a nice check to make sure that everything I've learnt through online notes and videos are in my flashcards in some form or the other
Hi Ray could you please link below the document for alwvel chemistry that was full of misconceptions and things you got wrong on in the comments as I think it would fine it useful.
Hi, you can find this as part of all the A-level resources that I shared on GitHub. The names of the files should be "Advice and Extra Content" in the folders for each subject: github.com/theramjad/a-level-resources
Hi Ray. I recently started year 11 and I’ve been enjoying watching your videos for a while now. I wanted to know, what did you get for your GCSEs, and what subjects did you do?
I ended up getting 7 A*'s in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English Language, History, Religious Studies and 3 A's in French, Astronomy and English Literature
@@RAmjad Wow, that’s amazing. I just wanted to know as I have target grades of 8s and 9s but I’m not quite working there at the moment. Have less than a year to improve 😂😭
Hey, so you can find a link to download them in one of my earliest videos. It should be titled something like, “Sharing My A-level Notes and Flashcards”
I personally found it harder as there was more to memorise and more exceptions to rules that you couldn't really figure out through logic. So I had to come up with more mnemonics and memorisation tricks to help me through it
Yup! I'll just be remaking my A* videos in a higher quality then hopefully I can move on from A-level related videos because it'll be a little boring to do that forever
hi ray would you say using freesciencelessons videos are a good way of learning the content for a level chemistry of would you recommend something else
@@isaachussain7859 Ahah just happened live in the same town and go to the school he taught at. He actually went part-time when I got to Year 13 and then quit because he began to make much more money from RUclips than what he was paid as a teacher.
I agree the textbooks are pure waffle
Chemrevise is life saving...
I ditched my textbook and got an A* with chemrevise and physics and maths tutor questions pack
Did you use the chemrevise revision guide or the the chem revise textbook?
@@ic4149 The revision seems more beneficial.

Maybe some cool concepts you learnt in uni
more Cambridge vlogs pls
Ray you are a king, we will support you no matter what
Maybe some explanation videos on cool stuff you've learnt, Parth G or Zach Star style.
What things do you find interesting? That could be a good video itself, getting to know you
i really liked this video as alwyas, also the background song in this video was so calming and wasnt loud :)

Love seeing your come up 🔥 the increase in quality of your videos has been amazing, and the consistency 🔥🔥
thank you so much! I really didnt have high hopes for my a level results but now i want to try everything i can to improve a lot

Doing a level physics without math. A video going over (not teaching) all of most of the math that you’d need to know in physics would be nice
That sounds like a pretty good idea although I think either Physics Online or Science Shorts has already done that on YouTbue. Also, you can find all the maths required towards the end of the A-level specification (I believe the main part is exponentials / logarithms?)

Why did u make your class notes into flashcards then put them into anki? Wouldn't it be faster and easier to make them on anki in the first place?
For my A-levels, do I need to revise every subject every day to get A*s?

What do you mean 4 years and 6 years? Full-time students usually do 3 or 4 A-levels in 2 years
