      That and panicking is what's likely going to get me rejected from Imperial and Cambridge. Its annoying that mistakes - something unrepresentative of your ability - can be so decisive in your future.

    • @venishakaleivanee1214
      @venishakaleivanee1214 2 года назад +8

      Yes you can surely do that. It depends on you actually. In my case i did 2 papers per day, because i wanted a distinction in it and wanted to be ranked in it in my country. But 2 hours revision every 2 to 3 days is absolutely fine! Good luck for your exams❤️

    Idk about revision cards tbh. I think past paper questions are definitely my favourite method. You develope intuition which is always good for maths problems. I definitely need to look over what i did wrong rrather than get frustrated that i didnt get a question right. I think your right about the stupid mistakes. In a lot of end of topic tests in year 12 i made so many stupid mistakes. The problem is you need to realise you're wrong rather then just assuming you were right the first time.

      Hey i do both maths. I think if you are considering a career in STEM at top unis or just STEM in general its worth it. But it is a lot of worth ive been lucky enough to do it is a three alevel coursr so maybe that might be an option aldo

    • @libbyyyedwardsss9629
      @libbyyyedwardsss9629 3 года назад +1

      i don’t know whether this is relevant to the A levels you want to do but in the colleges that i have applied too, you can do A level further maths and in the 1st year you do your A level maths and in the second year you do A level further maths. So in this case, the A level further maths in the colleges i’ve applied too, you get two A levels for one. If you get what i mean, and if the colleges supply that course, of course. Sorry if i wasn’t too much help, but that is what the colleges near me do.

      @@JakeClarke Not really, because flashcards weren’t the only way you revised.
      I bet if you didn’t use them you still would’ve gotten an A* because they don’t do anything past papers don’t, there is no point using flashcards for maths as you should be getting all the “benefits” of flashcards through doing PPQ. You’re wasting time spent making them and using them, which could be spent elsewhere.
      Subjects like chemistry I understand the use of them, you cannot derive the colour of the transition metals in the exam that is something you just need to memorise, but maths a lot of the things you need to “commit to memory” can be derived in the exam ie Matrix transformations using a unit square. If someone can’t derive something in the exam, I doubt they understand it enough so it’s unlikely that person would even be getting the application correct in that question.
      And really come the end of two years in your exam you should be knowing the formula/method for so and so off by heart as you should’ve done enough questions it’s stuck.
