The guy is absolutely right, best thing is write report after, take picture everything and send it to e-mail. We had gas engineer who did all boiler services for letting agency and he basically did visual inspections and that was it. After i came i am pumping expansion vessels, cleaning electrodes, basically everything except opening heat exchangers since that's extra cost and i write that down in report that i would recomend big service which will cost extra and they are not happy with me, they called my company and said they don't want me anymore service the boilers because every time something needs to be changed. And before everything was perfect.
I can relate to what you say but as the last man on the job you carry the responsibility . You are probably worried it makes you look bad but I was always worried that one mistake could cost someone their life . Your company should value people who care , not all do however.
I have this boiler model in my property, there are many issues that need to be looked at, many of the rubber seals perish. The condensate collector has been replaced along with both seals. The condensate traps get blocked. After over 10 years of service, i replaced it. The only thing I need to do now is replace the expansion vessel, the pressure rises to just over 2 bar when I get the central heating up to temperature. Great tutorial, thanks again for sharing.

Probably just needs a recharge or maybe the Schrader stem needs to be replaced. If either or of the above, I'd have it replaced.
