- Hello my lovely Subscribers! In this video you will see how i restored this broken game boy.
To restore this game boy i use some simple technique: retrobright, soldering, cleaning with isopropilique alcohool.
The retrobright took me almost 2 days, for that you need some uv light and 12% hydrogen peroxide.
The console was broken because 2 wires was disconected from the motherboards.
This video is a colaboration with The Retro Future! You need to check his video because is very good!
The game boy cost me 9$ from ebay and was very dirty and yellowed.
This restoration took me 2 weeks to complete.
Thank you for Watching!

Bonjour, je voudrais savoir quelles études as tu fait pour savoir toutes ses techniques, thank you
I feel like all the restoration channels know each other and have agreed no annoying music no talking red sandblaster and black gloves
And thank Darwin for that! I love that they don’t talk or put music. Perfect!
I actually would rather they talked.
Or...hear me out...or....one guy had that brilliant idea, and the other guys decided to copy the formula to get a piece of the pie.
It's only a matter of time until someone rents a warehouse and starts churning out restoration videos under different names like they do with cam girls.
@@frankmurphy5 and we wouldn’t know the difference cus all the videos look the same anyway
40 years later, some other restoration channel restores this gameboy, finds TysyTube sticker inside
That’ll be cool
The receiver will immediately soak it in Pepsi and store it in their dryer vent.
They will need to restore this old db where people used to watch videos so they can see the restoration
Imagine how the restoration process is gonna look 40 years from now 🤔
How do you know you'll be able to buy compatible batteries in 40 years?
Not a single word said, but you can FEEL the excitement when the batteries are placed in at the end. A great restore, and an even greater collab. Love this one.
must hurrryyy yeeeeeekkkkkk 🤣🤣

Lmao I thought he goes oof lol 😂😂
Mamma Mia!
Enjoy playing your GameBoy in any lighting condition! The darkness can’t stop you now!
When I saw you taping the package, I wondered why you didn't use the packing tape dispenser you restored.😂😂
I have some Daisy Guns from The very early 1900’s you could restore. .177 dart guns. But I don’t know how to contact you.
Buzz
Of course you're here.
You do need a better solder.... beautiful work anyway!
My first thought was “where’s the Ducktor?” But then I remembered this isn’t Odd Tinkering
You too, huh? I think a lot of us were confused at first until we realized it was actually Tysy.
Bet this guy only owns regular knifes..
S. A. M. E.
I enjoy the watery soap
True!
The most amazing part of this restoration is that he had four good batteries of the correct size in that drawer.
As someone who's first console was the og Gameboy, seeing that screen that lets you play in the dark is better than seeing a tuned up car 😍
"Hello Mario, are you there?"..."No but it'sa me, Luigi."
XD
Tysy: Luigi? Meh, it's really broken, then...
O my God, i read this with lumpy touch voice.
Also did you know that recently Luigi has been restored from the files of Mario 64 which means L really was real
No. This is Patrick.
When you're so old your childhood toy needs a restoration
Me when he opens it: Oh, a yellow gameboy!!
Him: This was supposed to be white.
Me: :O
I smiled when I realized he got the one with the light... NOW THAT'S FOR THE CULTURE ... I appreciate the dedication.. the interaction... and the respect you both have for this culture... love old school games 💘 🎮 🙏
I love it how he slams the gameboy whilst saying
_"hello mario, are you there?"_ calmly.
“Hello Mario are you there?” [slams]
he asked calmly
That was quite the transformation! However I do think you should invest in a proper soldering iron now, something with a point!
It's the lack of flux that is the problem. Without flux the solder kind of acts like honey and sticks to everything. With flux is seems to flow like mercury and covers metal way better.
scoper49 can confirm, you REALLY need flux when soldering.

And thus is why we should pledge to him. So he has money to get such tools :p
What he did was actually a cold solder joint. Not good.
i was so invested in seeing my old friend get restored! **childhood revisited** I'm 35 and mario was my jam but i also played kirby and tetris a lot.
I love these kinds of channels, taking something labeled as junk and restoring it to its former glory. I would just like to say thank you
NOT ME! :(
Everyone when their gameboy doesn't launch the game at first try: *blow into the cartridge*
TysyTube :
"I hope it doesn't get lost in the mail"
Actually gets lost in the mail.
Hahaha it did!
🤷♂️🤣🤣🤣
Foreshadowing
It's not like he'd already seen The Retro Future's video or anything(!) Oh wait...
Orax1701 no i didn’t
I was 12 in 1993 when i first played gameboy. Spent hours each day playing.. time really flies. I'm 40 now
Can I just say how insanely jealous I am that you can confidently take apart these things piece by piece and put them back together again perfectly without ruining anything?
Friendly reminder : A GameBoy is NOT a good storage container for molasses.
Or used chewing tobacco.
Ok, how many of you threw up a little visualizing that? Only me? Urp...
Or soda 😂😂😂
Its good for cocaine tho

I felt like I've watched this before but I wasn't entirely positive, so I watched it all the way through to make sure.
seeing a game boy as retro console make me feel old , back in the days it was a state of the art
damn now I know how boomers feel
It was never state of the art :) Black and white non-backlit LCD display and a 25 year old microprocessor, with not much memory. But it was cheap and fun, and it had better battery life than the competitors.
I was born in 2005 but, having grown up with Nintendo, seeing a Gameboy in those conditions still hurts me.
This was like watching an alchemist work some necromancy. Awesome video
8:04 The wifes toothbrush gets the job done
This is the weirdest coincidence this is the third Gameboy restoration I have seen this week on various restoration channels. Oh well I'm happy to watch them all. Keep up the good work.
I think it's not coincidence... One way to get views by doing similar videos done by other restoration channels.
Must be Odd Thinkering?
Same! But we all know who does it best
All are great but Odd is the best :)
Yes, I caught the Odd Tinkering and Acme versions as well. Interesting that each person is adopting different techniques, which helps keep them all informative.
I honestly thought I was watching Odd Tinkering until I realized it was you, Tysy! You know, I'm always sad at the beginning of these videos because of how damaged or worn out these projects are. But at the end of the videos, I'm so happy to see them back in proper working condition.
you are a hero in repairing old appliances.
I always think he might be worried about spelling but personally I don't really think anybody cares. It's super wholesome the way it is. I love it when people share things with the whole world.

People that use Nintendo items: what if something breaks in the device and i don't have that special screwdriver?
Nintendo: just.... buy a new one-?
Consider the reliability of Nintendo products. It used to be my job processing paperwork for console repairs. Only 1 Nintendo product in 5 years (a DS), Xbox and PlayStation repairs however, too many to count.
@@YeahNo how sharp was the decrease of repairs when the gen 2 360s (i think) came out that basically made red rings impossible?
This is my favourite genre on RUclips. So peaceful, so educational.
Ahhh, not being able to play in the dark. I remember bringing my Gameboy on car trips, and at night, playing as we passed under each street lamp, only to be completely unable to see it in between. Haha.
But you *can* play it in the dark! You just need the magnifying/light attachment 😃 (My brother had that accessory for his Gameboy back in the day.)
When i saw the tucano, i hit the suscribe button immediately
*ducktor intensifies*
Suscribe
Yes *sus* cribe
Great videos, most legit and professional restore channel on RUclips
"Hello Mario are you there?" I'm dead!
I am 48 years old and I remember these !! My daughter's each had one they traded them for other gaming things !! My favorite game was Tetris!! Great restoration very dirty, non working and now clean and full functional !! Great video !! 👍👍
We need an epic crossover with the tysy tucano, the duxktor from odd tinkering and the ON AIR broken sign from the retro future also (sorry for your ON AIR broken sign)
now is fixed
TysyTube Restoration and no restoration video?!
Oh my god. That, would be amazing
I started watching this channel by chance two days ago, now i am an addict. So lovely.
no way!.. that woulda been awesome to play it in the dark with a backlight in it.... i use to plug one of those worm lights into mine to play in the dark.. lol.. i remember picking the game out for mine.. back when the gaming systems actually came with a free game, not purchased separately and wasting more money.. and back when gaming was more affordable.. lol
Человек, у тебя золотые руки! Очень люблю смотреть твои релаксирующие видео. Спасибо, очень многому научил)))
I've messed around with some consoles, when I was a teenager I wanted to fix them when I got older. Brings back memories.
‘hello mario are you there?’ got me 😂
Everything about this video was perfect.. neat tidy understanding and quality work.. I was glued and not one chick in sight.. 👍
Good old time. I enjoyed playing the GameBoy in the 80's. Tetris, Legend of Zelda, Mega (rock) Man and so many more...I still play today, but the quality changed :D An amazing video about the restoration. "Hello Mario, are you there?" - "No, your princess is in another castle!" :D
10:00 Eath your heart out, boston dynamics!
I love the gloves because it makes it feel like he is somehow doing something exceptional, and that he is on a mission. Its funny.
Amazing Job dude the clening was impressive & the coop with another RUclipsr was genuis!
Great job. I laughed out loud when you said " hello Mario are you there?"
Just a little tip for the future: When you use those alligator clamps on the magnifier with bare metal, it can scrape away the board's coating, but you can slip a small piece of surgical tubing over them to prevent any accidents :)
14:06 GAME OVER
Hey keep up the good work this stuff that U do is amazing!
I love this so much I grew up with one of these and it sucked when I couldn’t see the screen in the dark
love ❤️ from 🇲🇦❤️🇲🇦
C'est tellement magnifique ce que tu fais ! Je suis captivé par la manière dont tu filmes tes restaurations de matériels ! Bien joué
“I can’t wait to test it” Hurry’s and puts batteries in
He didn't test the contrast switch though! I've had GameBoys before from people who thought they didn't work, when the contrast is just outta whack
I remember playing this by street light on long road trips, good times
‘Sun’ bleaching the plastic was genius !! Great vid!
I love how he say I need more bubbles
9:52 tipp: use also isopropy alcohol, that doesn‘t damage the plastic and you won‘t have as many scratches^^
Sorry for my english but i‘m a German student😂😅
Amazing work! 1st class results 🔥
Tetris mon préféré , 42 ans, quel boulot, un véritable magicien !!!!
*Just want to say GREAT Video .... And that also you and the other gentleman you collaborated with in this restoration endeavor. Both did an excellent jobs on this resto !!!*
The good old days.. when you took the screws out of an electronic device it actually came apart, without having to break a bunch of plastic case tabs as well.
This takes me back to my green gameboy and warioland 🥰 38! Played alot of bomberman too
Again got to love the Nintendo build quality.they last like tanks
I'm 36 years old and my favorite games are teenage mutant ninja turtles 2, Dr. Mario and Pokemon blue :)
“I can play all night now”
3 AM:Tysy tube playing Mario and turns sound up alittle
Wife that was sleep:When you die I get a turn
Till then the batteries dies
i really want a gameboy, i am 11 years old and i love this 90s portable console
Genuinely smiling over here, wonderful video and collab! 2 new subs today!
Love your restorations,so enjoyable to watch and learn from. What make me love your work most of all is the quirky humour, great work.
Alluminum foil has two sides, shiny and matt, i think the shiny side should be on the inside as it reflects more light back
I'm 38 and so nostalgic!!!!!
My favorite game is super Mario. My first game was Tetris on my Gameboy classic. Thank you.
Hearing that *da-ding* of the Nintendo logo threw me straight back to some good times. Great video.

I just watched this on RUclips and it inspired me to get into restoration like I’ve always wanted to do. I think I’ll start by learning to solder!
the first repare guy that i watched is the retro future and when i started with his video's i came your chanel on my for you page so now i also watch you a lot of the time
I play Bomberman Ultra with my brothers all the time! Good to see another Bomberman fan!
That was nice to see how two RUclipsrs cooperate. Good job and go on!
Man, so much nostalgia.
C'est rare mais aujourd'hui l'algorithme de recommandations RUclips a bien fait son travail !
The way u packed the stuff at the end was so cute!
I've seen multiple Game Boy restorations the past couple of weeks.
I found your restorations therapeutic! Good documentation of how to fix stuff from our childhood era and how to transfer our legacies to the next-gen ^^
The most incredible thing is how the GameBoy logo remains fully intact after all the years of playing, handling, neglect, cleaning solutions & brushing, ultraviolet light etc! Just amazing
I loved the way you tried to make it "work" by giving it few taps on the side. People told me i was crazy, I'm not.
Amazing restoration and collaboration. I loved playing Bomberman though I've never had a gameboy but a version of Nintendo console called Pegasus. My favorite game was and still is [thank you the Internet for NES games websites] Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle.
Robots seeing this be like: wait, maybe this guy can help me get fixed up
saw you shipped to another youtuber. youre a good man. respect.
it's very good to see your videos, congratulations for the quality
Holy crap dude, this is the most satisfying thing I have seen in my life!
:0
Merci, ça me donne encore plus envie de restaurer des consoles.^^
Oh hell yah I love his channel this was a awesome treat to see two channels i watch collaborate!
C'est vraiment un truc de ouf à quel point on peut posséder une console dans un état aussi dégradé, vraiment beau travail bravo.
Mon jeu favori Pokémon Or. xD Et j'ai 26ans.
You know back in the day there was an attachment for playing in the dark it also magnified the screen.... made it twice as heavy and lopsideded but it worked. It also guzzler batteries.... speaking of back in the day there was a way to plug the Gameboy in to a wall socket too so if your weren't on the go you could save batteries. Had that too.
the part where you unfolded it from the plastic I imagined a foghorn sound effect
Ha! My husband loves Bomberman. Anyway, great job. Such delicate work, made me feel more relaxed everytime
I’m 31 n Super Mario always has been and always will be my favorite!
