you are getting far better price for paintwork than us ordinary public get, suppose thats the way it goes
having worked for a motor factor many years ago and supplied paint shops, I can confirm that car traders get the lowest possible price. those who work exclusively for car traders are often located in the middle of nowhere in very cheap premises. they tend to be real artisans who can work miracles too but aren't usually very customer friendly.
@@thatcheapguy525total rip off gits where I live £500-750 small dent utter rubbish
Cracked chassis normally a write off? 🥺
A decent,quick profit,can't complain about that
Made a nice little car that. Nice quick flip, Lee. 👌
Awesome video Lee. Really love your journey as an honest trader. What you do to make it right for the customer etc. Yours should be the Benchmark to be fair.
I appreciate that!👍
Seen you in Aston Barclay today I wanted to shout ! Man on bike ! Your like Peter kay of the car world ! Garlic bread !
🤣 You should of come and said hello, always happy to speak to people
You had your buying head on pal! Didn’t want to disturb!
Brilliant love the videos keep them going . Just shows what a wee bit of work can do . Be nice if all were as good as yourself . Like listening and good info about the market . .
Hi Lee it's john from Gibraltar,a good acquisition with a potential profit despite been a 12 year old car with 108k miles on the clock.I personally prefer a fiesta. I have a soft spot for Fiestas since It was my first car a mk2 1100 fiesta back in 1985.A pity that these car's were discontinued last year.
I do like fiesta's also but I struggle to buy them, prices are strong sub 5k market and the fiesta is high up on most dealers list to buy in 1.2 and 1.4 petrol models
I like a good simple car without too many bits and bobs. Allows you to have a bit of fun just driving
11:28 first time I've seen you smile or laugh.. Been a sub since 1.2k...😂
I did smile once around 14 years ago
@@carukchannel 😁😂😂
@@carukchannel I find Smiling makes my face ache
I got the prices bang on before you said 'em. Makes a change!
Nice little earner and a tidy motor for it's new keeper.
Thanks peter 👍
They’re great an Ibiza , prob better than a Polo based upon. Sell almost as well. Problems are few and between. People don’t like them over 100k miles. The 2.0 CR FR diesel rare. 1.6 TDi aside they’re goood.
Not in my experience my lad bought a Ibiza so far Broken spring broken central locking oil leak broken speaker. Wait for parts was horrendous especially the central locking mechanism.
@@davidlewis4399yup VaG group cars do do in actuators. This Ibiza doesn’t get oil leaks especially ( 1.4 ) ; unless mistreated. Driven hard and misused earlier owners. A nice miss Daisy owned one with service be great. Locks aside. That affects any Polo Golf A3/4 etc etc , the locks fail irrespective owner. Just a weak VAG point.
Straight talking and honest, with a hint of comedic fun.....love it👍
Setting a real *Benchmark* having 2 SEATs on the Pitch 🙊🙊😂🤣
4 matching landsails. Said like 4 Michelins. How times change. Now landsail just seen as ok budget. A-ok. That lower quarter no way needs fixing. Price it according. And it’ll fly away. Prob faster with the lower price and tickle of former ( dentage )
I really like the content of this kind of video! It is good to know what is likely to be a fair and reliable investment to the general public. You give the pros and the cons of the type of cars buy and sell, which is breath of fresh air. It is helpful to know what a reputable dealer has to look out for, particularly at this end of the market. You give a refreshing insight into the world of the second hand car dealer. Thank you very much.
Thats a nice car especially for a first timer, great informative vid as always
Lee are you releasing the vids out of order sort of thing? Last video we see the 2 ibiza? Love the vids mate
Not blowing smoke up your arse but you have the same charisma as mike brewer take this up lad your not bad😂
Bought a car from m brewer , nothing but problems with it, not their fault, it’s the car in general
@@kevinbennett2208old ahht yer and.
Difference is Mike Brewer gets the mechanic to do all the dirty work while he buys and looks good. Lee does much more than Mike Brewer! Would love to see a series though between Lee and The Gateman at Aston Barclay 😂😂😂
No, Brewer is a tosser
Was that Dealership in Haslington by chance? Looked familiar… Great video as always. Thanks for taking the time to be informative and open. 👍🏻
@@carlharris2808 Only know it, as that’s where Haslington Mowers were based at many a year ago 😉
Nice clean car in the end. Got a very similar one for sale at the minute, metallic blue, slightly lower miles, just put it on autotrader at £3295 which is a few hundred quid under recommended.
Seat Ibiza and the word broken go hand in hand
Are they bad?
@@johnmaurer2035 They are not bad at all but some owners seem to try and run them on a shoestring ignoring servicing requirements. Bit harder as Lee says on the suspension compared with the VW Polo . 1.4 is the one to go for.
That's same for any car really isn't it? Ignore maintenance and servicing and noise like on this one then you're asking for trouble.
Just bought same car off my mates company. 63 reg , 147k but drives mint , full mot with new tyres all round , drivers seat got a couple of chunks out of it and it’s dirty inside. £130 tax for the year so I’m gonna keep it for a while , one owner with history for £500 . Lovely smooth cars , can’t hear the engine and I can see why you don’t have them long . Easily better option than a corsa for new drivers . Great video 👍
Nice motor. FWIW I'd change the rear numberplate so both match and do the alloy wheel centre caps as mentioned. Fabias even better than equivalent Polos and Ibizas?
I said 2995 retail before you came out with it but i only wanted you to pay a grand for it!!!! I then again had 250 for paint in my head....most painters won't fire up the booth for less than 200 quid!!
I just picked up a 1.25 60 plate Fiesta with 172k up it for 550 quid. If you squint hard enough it's looks like 72k.
Rear bushes shot i hear you you say...........
Yes shot into space
Hi, one thing I noticed, in your pricing for the repairs you make no allowance for the labour element in fitting the parts and valeting etc. and also running the vehicle backwards and forwards to the MOT station.
nice looking car and a nice price.
Vw rear shocks do seem weak. Done a few sets on customers audi a3s, absolutely gone. My old 306 still on the originals at 27 years old and 235.000 miles
Those Seat Ibiza's are growing on me, prefer them to a Corsa for sure.
Especially newer ones, made in same factory and same underneath as the Polo. Bit noisier. 1.0 dsg is a great car.
Want a c1. 2017 22300miles. We buy any crap offered £4600. Small scratch one corner full dealer sh. Dealer round ere wants £7000 for a 14 ibiza.
Havent see the negotiation yet, but I would offer them £1200 Ah £1500 not a bad deal.
I love the Seat Ibiza's, you made a decent quick profit. Great video and content as always.
Li, I really miss this kind of video: man + car + layby. its a good grass roots throw back to what you used to do at your MOT garage.
about the car radio test, you forgot those immortal words "it was never in doubt" 😉
C'mon who buys a ruddy Seat🙄
lots of people, the youth love them as they are far better than a corsa
Just don’t use genuine VAG springs -- CRAP
Nice one Lee , was just about to make you an offer......Too late 😢
Nice earner Lee! Did you do the cambelt and waterpump?
I have to say i quite like the look of that seat its a car ive never really considered before seeing your video , i can add it to my list next time i swap the car
Did you not bother with the wheel centre caps or repairing the drivers seat?
Good result there pity you don’t do vans 👍
Love the video but folk always pronounce Ibiza wrong and it does my head in! It's not "eye beetha" it's ee-bee-tha!!
How hasn't that seat MII sold. I'd say that's better than the pugs the aygos etc. That's a very smart car!!
Got a young lad on it today, so might be gone in the next 48 hours 😁👍
Nice one Lee, well done 🌞
Whats going on with the black ibiza on the pitch?
need to get it sorted wants a bit of work, need weigh up if it’s worth fixing up
You and chops garage always worth watching 👍
Thanks 👍
are the 1,4 TSI a good buy?
Yes not to bad in standard lower power form. They can suffer with water pumps leaking which seem common but not the end of the world to fix as long as its not driven to long with no coolant 😁
Had a three year old Golf with this engine; absolutely superb, went like stink and sipped fuel. Mine had had the timing chain replaced on the recall.
@@carukchannel what about the 7 speed DSG?
