I'm sure you know this anyay! Thanks for all the brilliant content on your channel.
Got to say the way you deal with Warranty issues is spot on there isn't a car in the world that won't have issues it's the roll of the dice for car dealers if it's going to be within the warranty period
Anybody who has been a long-term subscriber, and watcher of your videos, knows the high level of prep you do before you sell the cars. You also go above and beyond with warranty claims. Hope you had a great holiday Lee.
don't forget to change the rectangle ring seals on the end of the camshafts ,these where out causing low oil pressure to the vanos sprockets ,most people don't change these and they are the culprit for a lot of vanos problems
Its funny you should mention this, we are still having a issue with code showing seized vanos (which is new) on the exhaust side, wondering if we have poor oil feed to that side and what may have been the cause of the original vanos / chain knocking.
Your in house 3 mth warranty is more than fair bud, I'd not change how you go on. I sold my last mini a few mths ago and I won't buy any more, I'd deffo avoid them. As you know that engine is troublesome and I won't buy anything with it in.
Completely agree with you there Lee regarding 2nd party warranty I had a Focus at the time 7 year old with a warranty from guess who Warrenty 2---- 2 weeks in battery decided to die fair enough original battery so i replaced myself but still had problems with battery going flat my local garage diagnosed alternator and contacted warranty company got go ahead to replace , after forking out £180 got back £60 hardly worth the time and money spent on the cost of the warranty.
Bargain!!! A £180 alternator. Quite recently I had to pay £680 to change the alternator on my 2007 1.2 Volkswagen Polo Car. Although, to be fair to it, I've had the car for ages and it's the only failure it's had so far. The battery's still good, as I caught the alternator issue early and I drove it to the garage about 40 minutes with as much as possible switched off (radio, fan) after the battery light first came on.
You go above and beyond for customers. When you think about it, I don't think I can remember ever anyone else who does as much for so little. Hope you had a good break Lee. Well Done!
At the end of the day your selling 10+ year old cars things are bound to go wrong but it's what you do to rectify the faults and people have to recognize this and to me your customer care is second to none in my eyes I would not hesitate to buy a car off you. Top notch work and content because its not easy being a car dealer.
