    Causes of low testosterone:
    • Inadequate SLEEP (less than 8 hrs)
    • Age
    • Obesity
    • Soy products
    • Plastic consumption
    • High insulin levels
    • Liver damage
    • Adrenal stress
    • High cortisol
    • A deficiency in DHEA
    • A low-fat diet
    • Statins
    • An iron deficiency
    • Hypogonadism (aging or zinc deficiency)
    • Alcohol consumption
Four ways to improve your sleep and boost testosterone:
    1. Get more exercise or do physical work
    2. Go on a low-carb diet
    3. Support your gut microbiome with probiotics
    4. Get plenty of vitamin B1, potassium, magnesium, and vitamin D

Try to find a natural solution. Once you go down the path of meds or injections, there is no turning back. They often times will reduce the testicles because the body doesn't need them to produce T since it is being introduced by other means. Finding the root cause is extremely difficult and finding an answer that works best for you is a hit or miss that could take a long time to find out. Good luck with your adventure.

    @scrwwea_nhl_hut5288 2 года назад +3

Ive watched a lot of Dr. Bergs videos and generally feel decent information is usually given. In this case, there is a lot missing.
The majority if not all of the information is correlational and can have minor impacts to overall T levels, but they will not, repeat NOT cause deficiencies of any significant amount.
There is also a lot of the “why” missing from these explanations. For instance: yes beer can cause T levels to dip but that is largely because the hops are incredibly ectogenetic. If you increase estrogen, the T to E ratio will be off. Zinc- zinc work because it lowers estrogen levels. This allows for a better T to E ratio but will jot increase T levels.
What is not being said is key. The ranges you see on labs are ranges for all men across all ages. They do not look at the levels of T you should have for a man your age. In addition, most doctors have no clue how to write a lab requisition to evaluate the true cause.
If you talk to a bio identical hormone replacement expert, they will tell you that low T is primarily caused by one of two things. Your HPA axis is the pathway to create T in the body (im simplifying). Either your pituitary is not getting the signal that your T level is low and to produce more OR the mechanism is broken and production cannot happen. If both of those things work correctly, all of the rest of this stuff mentioned in this video will not matter.
Go see a non-hmo coverered doctor who specializes in this. John Crisler, Eugene Shippen and looking up Nelson Vergel are great places to start.
Btw, I should mention another key fact not discussed and that is the T to Estrogen ratio. When working optimally, it should be about 50/1. So you want a T to E ratio of 500/10. If you do things to increase your T without considering how the levels of E will increase (and they will!!!), you could end up in a way worse spot than you even started with even if your T level come up a bit.
    Good luck and stay safe.

The VA had me on Androgel which had a minimum effect. Increased exercise, and walking 5 miles a day is my current regiment. Lowering alcohol consumption, which i haven't really done would probably help, too. However, Fadogia Agrestis added to the mix has helped immensely. Good luck.

Thanks for another informational video Dr. Berg!
I do have a question regarding the sleep improvement: "2. Get off the carbs".
You were mentioning that cortisol decreases the testosterone levels in the human body, but from what I've heard, carbs tend to reduce cortisol levels as well. Wouldn't it be easier sleeping when one is totally relaxed after a long day of stressful work by eating sufficient carbs in the evening, in stead of trying to avoid them? I'm aware that physical exercise can help reduce cortisol levels as well, but what if you work out in the morning and still have to go through the day, building up those cortisol levels?
An answer would be great since this seems somewhat contradictory to me. :-)
Keep up the awesome videos and thank you for sharing all that important information!
