thats some pseudo crap without carbs you will not pack on slabs of muscle let alone have substantial energy to keep your day going. There is a distinction between clean and dirty carbs.

Docs can be so "set in their ways" that anything new or different often challenges their ego. As an RN I noticed certain ones who always gave the exact same post op meds to each individual patient. Heaven forbid I suggest an anti inflammatory over demerol or morphine. Listen to your gut and start asking around to find a physician who actually listens. They are out there, good luck !
I’m 19 I’m highly active as I go to the gym and work in a physical environment. I tested and have a 240ng/dl pretty low and just found this vid out. Usually sleep 6-7 hrs on somewhat adequate carb and protein intake but I have no sex drive like I use to that’s why I decided to test. Hopefully I can implement this into my daily life. Thank you Dr!!
Try to find a natural solution. Once you go down the path of meds or injections, there is no turning back. They often times will reduce the testicles because the body doesn't need them to produce T since it is being introduced by other means. Finding the root cause is extremely difficult and finding an answer that works best for you is a hit or miss that could take a long time to find out. Good luck with your adventure.
I've been a shift worker for 30 something years. I know sleep is important coz I feel terrible. When I'm on holidays I start to come good, then I'm back at work again and sickly. Exercise helps but I'm still tired.
Why Dr.Berg never mentions abstinence and semen retention when it comes to having a healthy testosterone count? It would help young men like me greatly
Some anti seizure medications raise SHBG too. It’s important to measure that because in women and in men estrogen can be bound to SHBG and then estrogen deficiency can lead to osteoporosis.
Ive watched a lot of Dr. Bergs videos and generally feel decent information is usually given. In this case, there is a lot missing. The majority if not all of the information is correlational and can have minor impacts to overall T levels, but they will not, repeat NOT cause deficiencies of any significant amount. There is also a lot of the “why” missing from these explanations. For instance: yes beer can cause T levels to dip but that is largely because the hops are incredibly ectogenetic. If you increase estrogen, the T to E ratio will be off. Zinc- zinc work because it lowers estrogen levels. This allows for a better T to E ratio but will jot increase T levels. What is not being said is key. The ranges you see on labs are ranges for all men across all ages. They do not look at the levels of T you should have for a man your age. In addition, most doctors have no clue how to write a lab requisition to evaluate the true cause. If you talk to a bio identical hormone replacement expert, they will tell you that low T is primarily caused by one of two things. Your HPA axis is the pathway to create T in the body (im simplifying). Either your pituitary is not getting the signal that your T level is low and to produce more OR the mechanism is broken and production cannot happen. If both of those things work correctly, all of the rest of this stuff mentioned in this video will not matter. Go see a non-hmo coverered doctor who specializes in this. John Crisler, Eugene Shippen and looking up Nelson Vergel are great places to start. Btw, I should mention another key fact not discussed and that is the T to Estrogen ratio. When working optimally, it should be about 50/1. So you want a T to E ratio of 500/10. If you do things to increase your T without considering how the levels of E will increase (and they will!!!), you could end up in a way worse spot than you even started with even if your T level come up a bit. Good luck and stay safe.
Then as celiac disease/diabetes if gluten reactivates the autoimmune disease, then cortisol spikes in, then with the malabsortiiion you increase the glucose malabsortion (hypo and hyper glycemia), leading to insuline resistence, leading through malabsortion that compromise the adeenals and the hormones production.(Hypogonadism and hypothyroidism).

Boron is supposed to lower SHBG. There are a few videos on RUclips about it. Men, I understand, should not take it continuously, but for a fortnight on and a fortnight or so off. I am trying it now, since my SHBG is slightly elevated.
It worked for me, 9mg of Boron is the sweet spot, but 6mg will still have an impact on SHBG, the last hormone panel I did showed very low SHBG and hence a high free testosterone, my GP was amazed considering I'm 55 with total testosterone on the low end of the scale (11 nmol)
I've tried a bunch of treatments and what has helped me greatly, or so it seems these past 5 weeks is Fadogia Agrestis, good multi vitamin, B complex and a Zinc boost with copper supplement, because zinc lowers copper levels. The VA had me on Androgel which had a minimum effect. Increased exercise, and walking 5 miles a day is my current regiment. Lowering alcohol consumption, which i haven't really done would probably help, too. However, Fadogia Agrestis added to the mix has helped immensely. Good luck.

Thanks for another informational video Dr. Berg! I do have a question regarding the sleep improvement: "2. Get off the carbs". You were mentioning that cortisol decreases the testosterone levels in the human body, but from what I've heard, carbs tend to reduce cortisol levels as well. Wouldn't it be easier sleeping when one is totally relaxed after a long day of stressful work by eating sufficient carbs in the evening, in stead of trying to avoid them? I'm aware that physical exercise can help reduce cortisol levels as well, but what if you work out in the morning and still have to go through the day, building up those cortisol levels? An answer would be great since this seems somewhat contradictory to me. :-) Keep up the awesome videos and thank you for sharing all that important information!
You are right , Dr berg is mostly right but he is a Keto fanatic , targeted carb consumption is the way to go. But make sure that it is not a processed carb. A good dinner option for good sleep will be Kiwifruits with plain greek yogurt. It will also work as a healthy dessert to finish off the night
@@claudiomonreal4822 plain yogurt plus kiwi - this combo is high in tryptophan , serotonin and prebiotics. Easy to digest , the protein & fat from yogurt won’t spike up the insulin as well. Also when Dr Berg recommends against yogurt he gives example of crap yogurts . If any consumer is attentive enough they can easily find a completely natural yogurt sans any added sugar.
So it seems we should All ditch coffee and other caffeine. Day 27 for me me I feel amazing. Sleep is on point and my workouts are much easier. Practice meditation & mindfulness. It will be life changing for sure.
I wonder how many medical doctors are watching Dr Berg's videos. Good info Dr. Berg 💯
Probably none (unfortunately)
Ever since I saw Dr. Berg’s video on kefir for better sleep I’ve been drinking a small kefir smoothie after dinner. It true knocks me out for the night. Great tip!
Dr berg all over the world will be grateful to you if you bring a good testosterone booster supplement 🙏
Zinc.
Zinc!
I know that for me, dropping the carbs helped increase my testosterone by about 3.5 times. It went from clinically low to high.
Excellent explanation. Thankful dr Berg for your wonderful information, i will send it to my dad and my husband.
Sunlight exposure in the morning also helps set your circadian rhythm.
Thank you for educating us Doc. Just got your bike formula to remove skin pigments because my liver doesn't deal with a fatty diet fast enough.
I got a cpap machine a week before thanksgiving last. My life has completely changed for the better, I can workout without gaining weight, i have lost weight for the first time in twenty years. No more heavy breathing, throughout the day. Best thing that’s happened to my body in a long time. ✌️👍😴
I got one not long before you. The difference in my energy level and work output is night and day.
Gow to keep T levels high
1. Exercise to get better sleep, try for 8 hours a night consistently.
2. Get rid of carbs from your diet.
3. Fix your gut biom. 9:00
4. sleep nutrients. Vitamin B1, magnesium,potassium and vitamin D.
Cheers.
Ypu can't get rid od carbs alrogether
thats some pseudo crap
without carbs you will not pack on slabs of muscle let alone have substantial energy to keep your day going. There is a distinction between clean and dirty carbs.
I'm very happy that I found your channel and quickly subscribed a few weeks ago, since I have been interested in finding (or rediscovering) the best ways to treat ourselves for many years.
I simply want to know what's best for my body and your channel explains that perfectly. Great info, easily understood.
Thankyou, sir!
So glad you find it helpful!
You arexpne if the best doctors in the world Doc
I've been a shift worker for 30 something years. I know sleep is important coz I feel terrible. When I'm on holidays I start to come good, then I'm back at work again and sickly. Exercise helps but I'm still tired.
Why Dr.Berg never mentions abstinence and semen retention when it comes to having a healthy testosterone count? It would help young men like me greatly
bet it helps older guys TOO, all this porn these days just sucks the LIVING SOUL out of us.
After tough day - steam room and one shut will definitely help you to relax and sleep well.
Everybody stop seeing your doctor, Dr Berg is already here and always ready to answer your questions💕🤗
Thanks for your comment. Appreciate it!
Dr Ericberg explain such a way every body understands effortlessly. Awesome , Many thanks
BPA (highly estrogenic) is abundant in register paper upon which is printed your receipts.
Took 25mg a day of DHEA for 3 months. Tested my blood again and Test increased to 532 from 416. My estridiol went up from 26 to 27. But my DHEA level was 72! Being a male 58 yrs old i just increased it to 50mg a day. Feeling good but want to see if its better at the recommended level of 350 to 425. My insulin fasting level was 13.9. Need to bring that down as well. Lift weights 5 days a week but not much cardio.
How corelates testosterone level with semen retention and no fab ? Would be very interesting!
@@futureshock5641 It sounds good to me. I will increase my dose to 9mg and see what my blood works reveal in two months time.
Good luck.
Thank you Doc for caring for us all and teaching us how to take care of our self have a great day 🙏💞
You're very welcome!
A lack of steak is the #1. contributor to low teststrone. Especially steak from grass-fed, grass-finished beef.
And topped with grass fed butter!
Best 10 minutes spent today. This video has so many important information. It's so valuable, thanks Doc!
Thanks Eric !
Copper supplements raises estrogen too... i'm on TRT for over 16 years. When i started taking copper along with my zinc.. within 4 weeks everything went downhill so i went to endo for bloodtest..my copper was higher then my zinc.. took me months to feel good again..awfull experience..
What was the zinc to copper ratio you was taking and did you take the zinc and copper together at one time…..
@@BIG_DRUalways took now foods 50 mg picolinate and after watching a lot of zinc and copper video here i "thought" and "assumed" i needed copper with my high zinc and i switched brand. Took 2 tablets of jarrow zinc balance a day, thats 30mg of zinc and 2mg of copper. Worst misstake i ever made..felt soooo bad i can't discribe, after 4 weeks it all started.. moody, weak, lerhargic, no libido at all, anxiety, muscle pain, headache, weepy with a sad movie lol.....you name it i had it... .. And switching back to now foods 50m pico (Advice from my endocrinologist) made everything worse ( wich he warned me this could happen).. its called copper dumping and makes you feel even worse for few months (feels like copper toxicity, copper gets releases in bloodstream etc and body trying to get rid of it)..but when that finally passed i feel amazing again. I NEVER ever touch copper sups again.. ...do take in mind im on TRT... The copper interfeared with aromatase and increased estrogen. My endocrinologist told me never ever take copper without bloodtest confirming you are deficient
.wich is pretty rare.. 3 years 50mg zinc pico a day and my copper is still normal. I get bloodwork every 3 months.
@@RickAstleyLetMeDown i was just wondering if you took them together maybe thats why you ran into a problem because your not supposed to take zinc supplements and copper at the same time It is best to space doses of these supplements 2 hours apart, to get the full benefit…..
@@BIG_DRU I had the same problem, i took 50mg of zinc gluconate in the evening and in the morning i added 2.5mg of chelated copper...I started to get the EXACT same issues as putandy. Funny how most of us think of beer 🍻 as a manly beverage but it's literally giving us man-boobs.

Keep up the awesome videos and thank you for sharing all that important information!
@@mayank.gaurav why are kiwis good for sleep
@@claudiomonreal4822 plain yogurt plus kiwi - this combo is high in tryptophan , serotonin and prebiotics.
Easy to digest , the protein & fat from yogurt won’t spike up the insulin as well.
Also when Dr Berg recommends against yogurt he gives example of crap yogurts . If any consumer is attentive enough they can easily find a completely natural yogurt sans any added sugar.
Use fruit as carbs
Best way to boost testosterone and help sleep is to wear blue light blocking glasses
I'm 26, will this help with making your voice sound deeper? Just curious thank you
Why not take electrolyte powder before bed? I take my nighttime supplements with electrolyte powder. Why is this not recommended?
Dr Berg can you make a new hair growth/ hairloss video; that would be awesome
So it seems we should All ditch coffee and other caffeine. Day 27 for me me I feel amazing. Sleep is on point and my workouts are much easier. I don’t know about the low carb thing , I eat whole fruit all day and animal protein in the morning. Losing belly fat and gaining muscles. I think low carb is a short term solution.
Thank you, Dr. Berg, for the advice. We want to translate these videos into Arabic I want you to talk about baldness treatments such as Finasteride and Menexidyl and others on their harmful effects

Had really crazy high fasting insulin/insulin resistance but was not diabetic. My A1C was perfect. Lead to hyperlipidemia as well (my cardiac numbers were so high some of them hit the upper limit that labcorp allowed so we don't know the actual numbers). Took multiple endocrinologists before someone actually tested my insulin.
If I had 1 single test that is almost never done that everyone should do is fasting insulin. Do yourself a favor, you don't have to be diabetic at all to have insane levels of insulin that can fuck your body up in many different ways. I finish my last meal at 4-5pm, then eat my 1st meal around 9am which fits into my busy schedule . But if I drink kefir before i go to bed then my fasting would be only 12 hours. So it’s OK not to concern about IF until i can improve my sleeping quality?
Kefir isn't solid food, so I don't a few oz stresses the digestive system.
I'm no doctor, but I'm guessing that improving sleep is one of the first vitally important things we can do to improve overall health, along with eating healthful whole foods. I think I hit IF too hard too fast, expecting better results, without focusing on a few basic needs first...like getting quality sleep! I'm also working on adding kefir to my evening meal, and not trying so hard to hit that 20-hour fasting mark.
