    I prewash and iron since fabrics shrink differently
    Add a sheet ir two of Color Stay. I find that keeps my different fabrics from color-bleeding.. Then I iron with spray starch. The extra body is great for cutting.
    Some people cringe when I speak of prewash but I do it the minute I bring my fabrics in. I may spend a day just prepping a bunch of fabric and getting it ready to start projects another day….ironing and squaring.
    I have just discovered your channel; love it. Subscribed and liked. Great thanks.

    I'm a relatively newbie and it would be very helpful if you would sew at least one row together and explain how to connect vertical and horizontal blocks together. I'm sorry to be so ignorant about this but everything is quite confusing for a newbie. This is not meant to be a criticism, but thinking this might also help others that are trying to quilt without a quilting buddy. Thank you.

    Ok I have been watching your videos for a about 3 months and I think I’ve watched all of them. I am definitely a subscriber I have only been into quilting for about a year and I love it but I seriously need some design help. I bought a beautiful jelly roll because I loved the prints. I have a pattern but I am having a really hard time finding a background fabric that will look good and not get lost. It’s the Sophie by Monda brenda riddle. It has pinks, greens, greys and reds. I was thinking since it’s a floraly print possibly going with a light yellow?

      @ISeeStarsQuilting  2 года назад

      Hi! Ooh I do love this fabric! Good choice. I'm happy to help you pick out fabric. Are you looking to hilight a solid fabric? Like maybe a dark navy? Or a soft grey? What pattern have you decided on? Let me know and I can make some custom suggestions. Thank you for subscribing! 🥰🥰🥰

    • @simplyscyfygirl2641
      @simplyscyfygirl2641 2 года назад

      @@ISeeStarsQuilting I was thinking of going with a solid background because there is so much going on with the patterns on the jelly roll. I like the butterfly quilt blocks that Missouri star does a tutorial on. I’m not sure if you have seen it. The jelly roll strips would make the body of the butterfly and it would need a contrast for the background.

    Hi Christen , did you receive my email about the three inch jelly roll race quilt you made using three inch strips? I commented on a previous video you made about me wanting to do one in three inch strips also and you asked me to send an email with my email address and said you’d send a picture of the quilt you made but I never got a response. Not sure if you even received my email so I’m just following up Thankyou😊
