Rosie, what I have learnt from you is how "clever cutting" makes such a difference to your art....the surreal becomes more believable if you know what I mean?! For example...the dress and trousers merging together is so clever....I would have just cut straight across....so thank you for that!
I keep 100% of my collage scraps, but I haven’t yet used them to make a scrap-only collage. That’s a great idea! I think sketching the mushrooms and cutting textures for them was another great idea. You should include sketch cuts more often!
I just love how free you are with collaging. Tearing, cutting, and blurring boundaries is a lot of fun! I am definitely going to save scraps and challenge myself more. Thanks for inspiring me.
I really enjoy watching you create. Your enthusiasm almost bursts through the screen. I particularly liked the idea of creating the mushrooms out of scraps. I kept hoping that you were going to make the stems from something like the background piece that you held up first when you were talking about making the stems. The contrast would have been so much better on that white background. But, that gave me a lesson in thinking farther along in my own process about contrast of pieces with regard to background! I open youtube and go straight to one or two of your videos before anything else. So happy that I found you ❤
What a great and creative way to use up scraps! I save a lot of my scraps to use in backgrounds. You gave me some ideas and inspiration to go beyond just backgrounds. I noticed that there was a green flower that could have possibly made a great hat! Thanks for the inspiration! ❤❤❤
I do keep my scraps generally, there was flowers and cars etc amongst your scraps that are still usable. I would cut out anything from the off cuts and put them into wallet folders so I can call on them again at another time. Great fun collage I really enjoyed it and you made me think about using some of the backgrounds, like the skies for cutting out the mushrooms that was a great inspiration. Thanks Elaine 😁❤️
Hello Rosie, yesterday I discovered your channel and now I can't stop bingewatching your Videos!😍 They are so calming and helping my own creativity and its a joy to watch you turn complete different parts into little masterpieces! Every video is like a little crazy journey, you don't know where you will come out in the end!
I just love the way you collage. I love to make collages too. Thank you for sharing your thought processes, and always adding the fun twist! "Franken-people" or "Creeples" are so fun to make! When my scraps start taking over I put them in a glue book ( a composition notebook usually, or a recycled booklet) to create fun small pages. Keep on creating!
I keep a lot of little scraps, but from tags, cards and books I make. They’re color-coded in repurposed see-thru containers. I’m going to start collecting fabric, ribbon and thread scraps for a project. You never know. My brain is continually creating. Your challenge collage is weird, but made total sense. TBH I don’t love the mushrooms. They have no “depth” compared to the frankenmodel. It was fun to watch you play.😊
This is just so fun. I started collaging on postcards, especially really old dull ones that you'd never use. I know you say you don't feel like you can sell your collages but the way you are doing this one, makes it seem safe. Doing mine on postcards means I can send them away for free, lol. I love your videos. Thanks for sharing.
I look at it as a special type of accomplishment to be able to take fragments of paper and design something cool. You did an awesome job! Second-hand magazines in my area are hard to come by, so I save all of my scraps too! Thanks for sharing your process, Rosie!
Love it! Great challenge. I put my scraps always in a cover from a shoebox and recycle them, but not after going through them Just before throwing out and the back often surprises me and starts a New collage.
I was excited to see what you were going to turn out with a bag of scraps. Maybe I would have tidied up the head a bit, but that is just me. Maybe used a bit of floral, leafy bits as a fascinator hanging down the side of her face, but….it is all very well saying that, ideas don’t always transfer well to the artwork and as you said this was a challenge using scraps, It was fun.
You are so creative! It’s funny as this is what I was working on today, left over part of images used in collages I did few days ago. Surprising what can come out of this exercise! Yes I do keep my scrap paper, love using them in my recycling journal. Your woman is amazing! That dress, a huge success. And I love the mushrooms idea! So cool.
Hello New subscriber here and I just want to say how cool it was to find your channel. These are so cool to do, its funny but I used to do something like this as a kid with my magazines, so it was a really nice treat to see you do this type of artwork. Thank for sharing and look forward to more videos.
Yeah! I've been waiting patiently. Now that I watched the video I love the way you did her dress. Never would have occurred to me but. I do like to save my negative pieces such as the remnants of butterfly cut out. They are fun to work with. Great job rosey.
Super fun and challenging. I noticed at the point when you said you wanted to utilize a hat bur couldn't find one there was the cutest flower/plant just to your left that might have worked. I don't keep many scraps anymore because I would end up hoarding...I know me lol. But you can take them and glue together and make random background sheets aka masterboards
I keep just about all my scraps and divide them up by size. I do a lot of collage, so all the pieces can be of some importance at some point. Something that's fun and can be of lots of random things, is doing a Master Board and then cutting that up to use in other ways.
Hi Rosie.. you did a great job 👏.. I saw a green flower @3:40 ish that would look cool as a hat ..you could drape the roots around the face and reconstruct the flower to fit how you want.. just an idea💜 fun video!!💜
The leaf-looking piece in the top left corner at 5:45 looks like some sort of coat jacket with a ruffled shirt! I think you could make something super fun with that scrap haha!
Hello, i love so much your work, i see your vidéo immediately, it is a pleasir (i come from Belgium and don't speak easy english) . Tank you for your vidéos 🤗
Ummmmm just my 3 cents..... BUT... As for scraps i have alot if not actually every scrap. Possible idea I thought was making her kinda a Fairy creature and cutting another mushroom cap for her hat. And in regards to sources for collage i like finding old vintage interior design / room decorating books. As they have a lot of just open blank rooms to use as locations or backgrounds. And i just love the bright crazy. Monochromatic colors that show and use!!
I would keep the horse next to the black torso. And the only thing I didn't like was the 2 mushrooms stems of light color. Not a contrast to white background Otherwise, kudos. And you could fashion a hat from something else
Hi Rosie- I wonder if you could give the lady arms? I am a special Education teacher. I have known people with arms that short and it is a disability.. not a fun thing
You're so fun. And uninhibited. It's inspiring.
Aww thank you so much!!
There was a flower in your scraps that you could use as a hat. I love watching your creativity unfold.
I was screaming at the screen: the flowers, the leaves!

Have you every done any collages with fabric? I love what you do and thought it would be cool to see fabric used instead of pape
From scraps to art. Brilliant, Rosie.
CSQ ..Collage Scrap Queen! That’s you! Always great to watch you! Kathleen
I agree!!
Hahah LOVE it! Thanks :D

Yay! Yes, I have a new appreciation for scraps. oh a flower hat--what a great idea!
Yes I saw it too!
Such a cool project Rosie. Love it 😍
Yes I noticed the flowers too. I would of used them for a hat or a headress of some sort too.

That was a blast to watch! I thought for a moment you were going to make a mushroom cap for a hat! 👏🏽😂

Bravo! You've truly outdone yourself.

You’ve inspired me to start this art media and I’m in love ! I’m going to start saving scraps to challenge myself

"That looks like it was an outfit right off the rack" I don't know where YOU shop! 🤣 Great video - I chuckled the whole way through! Thank you!

Hi 👋 love you vids 😍 Yep I keep the scraps. Mainly glue them down as back grounds & to thicken up the paper. Love how you used your scraps 👍👍
You really did great with this challenge and fun to watch.👋🏻😉
Love your channel and sense humor.
The tiny doll hands reminded me of Kristen Wig's SNL character Doonese!

Great challenge for yourself. Love the outcome.

Hello, i love so much your work, i see your vidéo immediately, it is a pleasir (i come from Belgium and don't speak easy english) . Tank you for your vidéos 🤗
Oh wow all the way in Belgium!! Thanks so much for watching :)
Good on you for experimenting with a new challenge!! Speaking of challenges - will you be doing Februllage?
I have never done Februllage! I would love to do it one year--it just tends to be a lot on top of my busy schedule. One year I will!
Such a great challenge!
At about 7:05 there is a plant that I was like “oooh use that as a hat upside down or something” 😂
It’s the baby hands for me 😆
Ummmmm just my 3 cents..... BUT... As for scraps i have alot if not actually every scrap.

I'm going to keep my scraps now!!!
There's so much potential! I have a new found appreciation for scraps :)
This was super fun to watch. Perhaps you could have cut another mushroom cap to use as the girls hat.
Crazy fun. What about a mushroom hat?
I wanna collab witb you!!! I kept "telling you" what could be hats for her. Hahaha. I throw put most of my scraps, otherwise I would die of papercuts.
Fun challenge, and great piece. =)
I was just about to put a bag of scraps in recycling. I won't now!
I was surprised you didn’t try and keep the observatory
Haha I didn't even notice it!! Blinded by galaxy! Pulling it out the recycling right now
I think the collage turned out great and yes I keep way to many scraps 😂
I would keep the horse next to the black torso. And the only thing I didn't like was the 2 mushrooms stems of light color. Not a contrast to white background Otherwise, kudos. And you could fashion a hat from something else
I thought perhaps you could have made a mushroom hat to make it more cohesive, but great job!
❤Very nice
🙏
Interesting
Rosie, are your shelves falling over?? I'm concerned haha
They are solid! Just naturally crooked :) Thank you for the concern of my safety!!
You could use a mushroom cap as a hat for her.
I like ot except the white background
Hi Rosie- I wonder if you could give the lady arms? I am a special
Education teacher. I have known people with arms that short and it is a disability.. not a fun thing
Would giving her a mushroom cap as a hat be too much?
Thank you for this 👏👏!! Get rapid results - Promo`SM !!
