This is amazing! To me, if they were displayed together it would be pretty cool. The possible implication would be that the river is what the artist is visualing/feeling while he is working; while the b/w room is his reality & how he is a vessel of creativity/hope/beauty ready to be shared with us.
You took a creative prompt idea and did a super job with it! Both collages really stand on their even though they share similar parts. Thanks! Kathleen
These are absolutely amazing! I discovered your channel today and have binge watched several of your videos and plan to eventually watch them all. Thank you so much for sharing with us. You have given me so much inspiration. Xoxo
Very, very nice. You showed lots of ingenuity in the river scene, tucking things in to ground them and replacing the sky. Neat weather book and “thanks” to grandma for the marble paper. One thing, would you wanted to use a pencil like Stabilo to add shading to objects. The paint tubes in the other picture look like they’re floating. Not that floating is a bad thing. 😉
I commented on this but didnt remember and I'm sure I would have. Must have been interrupted because I love these so much. My fav is river of paint. You are so creative. Love the way you walk us through your thought processes.
I just discovered your videos and am glad I have. I like everything about them. Your voice is so easy on the ears and I appreciate your language style - friendly and direct about what you are doing without extraneous chat which I hate. For the past ten years I have mainly made art collages from all my painted papers, mark making and other surface design processes. Watching your videos has inspired me to go back to making some magazine collages. You have reminded me of some techniques that were pushed to the back of my mind. You should write a book. I would buy it in a heartbeat. Do you have a video about techniques, especially tips on cutting and gluing.
I really enjoy watching you create, thank you so much for your inspiration! I know this is a year later that I watch this process, but I was thinking that maybe the paintbrush needs to be behind the colorful hand to make it look more cohesive? Since I learned from your videos to nestle images together it works so well!
I would build on this idea, using the subject in a collage on my art journal page opposite a collage containing the background on the page facing the subject collage. [I hope I explained that clearly]
ATLAS was a titan, the son of Iapetus and the Oceanid Clymene. Atlas was thought by the ancient Greeks to hold up the sky, and his name means “he who carries”. His famous encounter was with the Greek hero Hercules, one of whose labours was to obtain the golden apples of the HESPERIDES, female guardians of the fruit the mother earth, Gaia, presented Hera at her marriage to Zeus.
Awesome collages, as usual - thanks for the idea, Tink. Since you asked, how about trying an 'embellished' collage a la Tara Jacobsen and others (ruclips.net/user/TaraJacobsen). Personally, I think it's cheating a bit but hey, a little harmless cheating might be fun every once in a while.
