Im from Brazil and after many years of saying that I would like to make a knife, finally after overcoming a depression I decided to start making it, with just a file, a hand saw and a lot of willpower and I would like to thank you who has been a great inspiration for me to do whatever I want freely
Keep grinding my friend 💪
basado
This is probably the most beautiful round scalpel made from W1-7 steel I have ever seen!
that sounds like a lot of qualifiers, but I might just be reading too much into it
It is also probably the only one lol
In love... I need this knife...
I'm always about a Tonto blade. You break the tip, you still got a point....
Love the dainty double bevel on the tip, classy and functional. Super nice build with all the perfect hand grinding. Just a small tip; too much stick out on the lathe, use a center in the tail stock to support you'll get better finish and be able to take deeper passes and you can part off the dimple at the end. The FEO3 finish and tumbling knocked it out of the park!! Thanks Koss for more inpiration...may try this with 01. Always a treat!
Friend, this is perfect. Thank you I had a lot of fun watching❤️
It appears to be simple, but very unique and different all in one. It takes a lot of skill, steady hands and a good eye to grind perfect and crisp lines on the blade. The handle looks like you could put rubber O-rings on it for extra grip. Great job.
Looks Beautiful!!!
Clean and simple; elegant.
Gorgeous!
Some other channels are making very complex knives and swords with brass and wood etc. But no channel gives me goosebumps as this channels does. Because I know that this thing he makes is simple but elegant and can take lives... I feel admiration in front of a 30 minutes video of making a katana.. but this simple steel seems far more dangerous...
Beautifully done 👍... really enjoyed watching it.
Beautiful piece
Отличная работа!
Я хочу такой нож, респект мастеру
wonderful knife!
Как всегда прекрасная работа!
Crazy amazing!
I love the compound angle at the tip of the blade
Brilliant work 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This is actually so simple, yet so brilliant O_o
This is amazing 👏 thank you so much
Nice work,👍👍👍
Awesome neck knife
Awesome !!!!!!!!!!!
Good job, 👍
nice koss..
Hey 👋 there Koss you're amazing how you make it. With a simple piece of metal it becomes a good and beautiful knife 🔪 good 👍 work 👏 blessings 🙌 buddy
Inspiring.
Nice!!!
It’s perfect
Exelent.
Génial ; ) 👍
Great looking blade!!!
Enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up for the support of your channel
In my observations, scalpels are most useful short, usually only a bit longer than the first segment of your thumb. Also avoid the angled transition between facets because that doesn’t give you any breathing room for changing cutting angles.
Love from India ❣️
Lovely!
@Koss Damn man I’d be proud of that knife!!
Tôi thật sự thấy công nghệ máy móc phát triển, và tôi thấy một video tôi làm thanh đao bằng gỗ thủ công thật vất vả, hãy xem và ủng hộ tôi. Cảm ơn bạn vì con dao
Perfeito !
I really liked the scalpel! tell me, what do you etch your blades in? etching solution?
Oh boy a new koss vid
I like it.
So I downloaded the telegram app so how do I text you on it
Wow you are good and great
Thats one of the most beautiful frikkin things ive ever seen on youtube.
What a knife!
Lovely finish dude. The angular tip against the round of the handle is a visually beautiful mix 👏👏👏. Another top job! You should change the channel name to Koss the Boss 😁. 😎
Very nice I would like to see it pushed through a car door or a big can of something based on its tanto point
cool
Beatiful
thank you
Would love to see a sheath like thing for it
Amazing so quitting if I was able to order one and maybe ask if you could add 3 threads for it to screw on a cap for a neck carry
This was fu**ing awesome to watch. Amazing craftsmanship. Can I have this prototype plz?
top.
Reminds me of a WW2 oss dagger
That’s a very sweet design. What is a blade like that sell for
👏👏
getting new machinery, man? awesome?
🔥🔥🔥
Nice
Шикарный нож получился!!!! 😎😉🙂☺😀😄🙄💪👌👏🖒👍🇷🇺🇷🇺🇷🇺
6:40 What materials did you use?
👍👍👍❤️
What do the stones do for the knife? I've seen that done before but never explained.
Give it a “roughed” or “worn” appearance
Looks somewhat like bamboo!
What this mainly for?
hi from Azerbaijan
Making a Stiletto knife plz
Now the question is make a holster or another blade to pair it with as a hidden blade gimmick
😁😁😁👍👍👍!!!
Have you ever heard of a thing called Live center ? LOL
Yes
make a leather sheath for this. it will pop!
Your Knife making skills are phenomenal. Sadly the same cannot be said for your Lathe work
Are you okay?
As beautiful as the round handle is, it's generally advisable to have a flattened section so it doesn't roll when cutting.
Бамбук🌽
Do you Own all this Machine's just for your Private hobby. Or Are they needed for your Job ? I mean those stuff need to be idk how expensive.
koss, if you have more than 3x the diameter of the work piece sticking out of the chuck, you need to have the end supported
Probably even less than that with the heavier load and tendency to chatter of the profile tools. He could easily have repositioned the work before every cut to make the cut right next to the jaws.
Please Be carful wearing gloves while turning. In fact don’t wear them ever while turning. Great knife!
Would that be considered a dirk or a dagger? If so, then I think they’re illegal here in good old California.
Now make a sheath😳
can you make spear kratos in god of war rangrok
just be careful with the speeds sets, you were advancing too fast, those long chips might end up screcthing the cutting tool
One word of advice, do not ever wear gloves while sanding a turning part. Pinching sandpaper on a turning part with gloves on is very dangerous. If for some reason the sandpaper catches it has the potential to yank you into the machine. Just be aware and know the potential outcomes from doing so.
Your knife work is a lot better than your lathe work. In the end you made a beautiful knife, and that's what matters. But as a turner I kinda cringed a little.
@@bmk6686 yes, practice makes perfect.
Yes...I feel you on this one.
A bit scary at times
I know! Those gloves 😬
Machining people are a strange bunch
@@gabreshaa8234
True.
But there were some serious osha violations in this video
I have a knife, and would love to see make it better with a fancy blade let me know if you would like me to email some pics of it to you
Good looking knife, but sanding that close to the lathe is going to cost you a thumb one day. Dangerous man
I use scalpels on a daily basis, and the thing is, they're flat with jimping on the sides. A scalpel is thus meant to be pinched between the thumb and forefinger. A round handle produces something completely different. It may be a great knife, but it's not a scalpel.
It's for woodworking actually called round scalpel
Very nice knife, but a machinist you are not.
Why in the name of goo everybody is turning shining knifes into this crap dirt scratched crap? I'll never understand this. What ia wrong with the good old shine metal? Deslike It now.
Great work! I am surprised the final tumbling does not dull the cutting edge. Or did you put a final sharpening on it afterwards?
Final sharpening after.
I wanna make one for splitting blunt wraps but I def ain’t good enough, yet
вот нравится тебе сувать руки куда не следует.... удивляюсь как у тебя пальцы все на месте
May someone tell me about the use of this tool. I don't have any knowledge about this tool. @koss
