Normally i wouldnt expect myself to watch knife making videos all the time, it gets boring after awhile, but this guy has so many designs and ideas and i love a little bit angular and sharp designs instead of fluid and organic shapes. Every single piece you make looks amazing. Thanks for the video!
thank you
Thats true. Koss has absolutely unique style.
Bence de.
Jeez so elaborate lol
I tried to go to your Etsy site but it isn’t there. Do you have an updated site?
This man has a PHD in Grinder Wheel, never such precise movement with a grinder to remove material. Props to you.
Sigma Grindset
I’m impressed too, I’m surprised that he’s not making with a different tool
Too right! I think I can do a lot of the same stuff but I’m sure I can’t do it with a hand held wheel like that.
You'd be surprised what you can do with a grinder wheel.. my matabo is 27 years old... Haven't even changed the brushes I've built DOZENS of knives, axes , demo's of vehicles frame's machine shop carpenter and everything else you can think of . Knives turn out Beautiful when using leaf springs and just a 4 1/2 " grinder wheels and a bucket of aircraft grade grease..
I gave um away as gifts... People still tell me they use it everyday...
It is realy satisfaing watching yours videos 😊👍
👍👍👍
Koss' favorite tool of choice - angle grinder
@duckieduck absolutely whenever i try to use it, it's vibration doesn't allow me such accuracy. I have to smoothen it out with belts
I don’t know how much I love the rock tumbler finish, I usually like a blued steel finish. But I love your designs! Good job
love that you dont put any music on your videos, sometimes i just want to listen to the sound of the machinery while others i might as well put my own music over it, overall a 10/10 video and im so grateful to be able to see videos like this one.
I love to see J., Ben and David test the strength of the Chisel knife.
Somebody get this man a horizontal band saw.
Nice and clean work! For me it's looks like universal tool for workshop. Keep going!
Wow, such a unique and cool design! I love it!
I really love the design of this knife!
I am always amazed by the artistry that goes into these designs. Excellent camera work and editing as well. Cheers.
Трехсторонняя стамеска с открывалкой под пиво. Прикольно!
Beautiful tool and excellent video, Thank you my man, I really enjoyed it.
Awesome build! I would like to have seen some explanations on the processes and what they do
I have always loved this style of blade smithing make me realise the art isn't dead and still lives on
1:23 I don’t know why but I just found this hilarious
*aaaaaaaaaand flick*
fortcraft
Its funny asf xD
The brass handle, cool design, sharpness...this is such an amazing Knife 🤩
Man I'd kill to have me a nice chisel knife like that. Lol. I love the angular and squared off shape of it instead of just a normal rounded handle. Awesome design. 👌
This is such a awesome design for a chisele knife
Parabéns, muito bonito!
Ahhhh.....koss...
Or some say kosm.....
You heard our prayers and made this satisfying video...
I like the design and the finished knife is beautiful. Would have liked to see how it would function with some sort of small strike plate or thickened/widened area at the end of the pommel to facilitate blows with a mallet or the heel of the hand. The current design invites striking it on the pommel to use it like a chisel in a dire situation, but the blow will fall on the thinned metal of that lanyard loop.
One can see that creating a thickened, widened area there would have added tremendously to the cost and time involved in making the blade. (Especially true if trying to solely grind it from flat stock!) I suppose it might be most easily done by heating one end of the bar past critical and upsetting the heated metal. It would be important to make sure to anneal it then and get adequate cycles to normalize the steel after grinding, before the quench. After the quench you would need to temper the end much softer than the rest of the tool so it didn’t chip if hit with something metal.
Even if one did all that as the “easiest way,” it would exponentially increase the complexity of manufacturing and finishing because the workpiece couldn’t lay completely flat to drill, grind or sand it. Alas, probably far too much trouble! Someone out there might have a better idea. Maybe it would be best to adjust the size and position of the lanyard loop so that less metal is removed and it retains more strength? Again, that’s a beautiful piece.
Cheers mate!
Beautiful. Amazing work!
Hey that's neat! I just made something similar for myself to make pulling baseboards easier. It has a knife/chisel side just like that for scoring paint/caulking and wedging the baseboard away from the wall. I put a 90* bend at the end of the handle to be used as a small prybar. The handle and finish isnt nearly as aesthetically pleasing as yours though.
Nice addition to put an angle on the end as a pry. How did you do it and did you notch it to pull nails?
Awesome work. Never cease to amaze
Masterpiece
wow, so clean and clear. awesome video so satisfying.
This is amazing, but where's the clip I was expecting at the end where you open a beer with that finger tang and sit back to enjoy your creation?
fortnite
Hi friend. A new video has appeared on my channel about how I made a sword from Skyrim with my own hands.

Not everyone has alcohol abuse problems like you I suppose
I can imagine Cloud Strife using a knife like this. You should make one slightly longer, with an angled tip and materia slots.
wicked looking knife. precision angle grinding work as always
Another wonderful piece of work! 👍👍👍
Well, so far I feel like I want one of each
Your knives are so cool and functional with the Koss style on each
I bet its real fun trying to see how far you can push it while still going back to you on the grinder. That was my favorite part besides the finished product great work
The common, uncommonly done...That is the Koss way! Fun with the magnetic holder bouncing along. ;-D Beautiful piece Koss! Easy to keep sharp too. Thanks.

Супер мне очень понравился, смотрю и кайфую
Interesting design. I would buy one.
Wow. You're really good with an angle geinder! Well done, too. Love the knife :)
just a tip, when drilling through metal using a drill press. Sometimes it is handy to have a spray bottle with water in it, to spray into the hole being drilled, used to cool off the bit as it cuts. Same process is used with some bandsaws
Doesn't that depend on the drill bit that is used?
@@xilpes6254 glad you asked. It depends more on the thickness of the metal being drilled but I would also recommend using carbon tipped bits, as most of them were designed for metal. The water isn't needed regardless but it may save you some drill bits :)
Regardless what bit you use, wipe the water off the bit when finished, otherwise it can rust
Coolest Thing I've seen all day
This is amazing 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I like it! Really nice job!
Great job 😀
That is so sweet! 🔥👍
Really impressive work. Big salute from India

I love the videos and chisel edged knives
Not sure why, but that actually looks really cool to me xD
Молодец!!! Попробую сделать.
A true piece of art
Can we all agree that Koss is a Goddamn surgeon w/ a grinder and a cutoff wheel....
Which is the correct term? Cutting wheel or cutoff wheel? I guess it really doesn't matter because they both do the same exact thing. I think one sounds "cooler" than the other.
Surgeon?he cuts a marked line and squares the cut on the sander afterwards...any fabricator would do the same for a high quality finish...its not as if he left the cut unfinished...
Coolest knife i've ever seen!
Really nice and inspiring video! Truly enjoyed and look forward to seeing your next video. Take care and have a lovely day!!!

I enjoy your informative videos on knife making and the use of different materials and tools. You have a technique all of your own and a vision that allows yourself to build different shapes and styles. Thank you for your time to share your talents. If you have a website where you sell your handmade products, I would appreciate you leaving a link that I could visit and maybe purchase a cool knife you have created. Thanks again for sharing. Mitch
