Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt star in a high-stakes adventure about two passengers, Aurora and Jim, onboard a spaceship transporting them to a new life on another planet. The trip takes a deadly turn when their hibernation pods mysteriously wake them 90 years before they reach their destination. As they try to unravel the mystery behind the malfunction, they discover that the ship itself is in grave danger. With the lives of 5,000 sleeping passengers at stake, only Jim and Aurora can save them all. Кино
It’s funny that before covid the majority of people agreed that they wouldn’t wake up Aurora. After Covid however….
It’s pretty easy to say that when you’re not in his situation. Most people claim they wouldn’t have supported nazism if they were in Germany in 1935
@@TheUndulyNotedmany germans didnt
@@MrZachary246 but enough did
@@TheUndulyNotedI totally would have supported it
Nope, still wouldn't.
I would have awoken EVERYONE!!!
they would have starved
@@gonfreaks937tf they gon do about it
You should watch the movie pandorum. Then you will know what would have happened.
I honestly can't blame him for doing it, even if it also meant that she died before reaching the planet too. Humans aren't meant to be totally alone without any human contact, and to do so would drive us to absolute insanity.
Had he been alone to long he could have gone crazy and sabotaged the entire ship. So technically it's asking the question, is sacrificing one life(hers), worth the life of everyone else on board?
@@brandocalrissian3294 exactly my point. He wouldn’t have lasted the rest of his life without someone else other than a robot to talk to
Exactly, jika saya melihat pribadi saya, maka sepertinya saya akan menyabotase pesawat tersebut ke sesuatu hal.
Loneliness. It is something I've been battling as part of PTSD/depression for over a decade now. It is insidious because even when you are not alone, you still feel you are and you will do anything to escape it even hurt someone you love and who loves you. I managed to do that over a decade ago and over the past few weeks it is like I have woken up from a deep slumber only to recognize what I have done. It is excruciating. You know you hurt someone. You cannot blame anyone else and every single moment of the day you think about what could have been.
I've spent most of my life trying to run away from pain, but by doing so, I've also run away from life. And an amazing woman and maybe the possibility of becoming a father to a child that I never had as a kid myself.
it happens :(
🙏
I know the feeling
Sad story but I also struggle with life as I have some conditions which makes me feel like my life is pointless most of the time
I've been on my own for more than a decade and can honestly say that it is a different experience. There are times when I would get lonely, but I have always been happier on my own. I keep friends and family and have no real issue with being sociable. I just prefer my personal space and I find it extremely peaceful. No relationship has ever added to that feeling. In fact, they usually rob you of it. What I choose to do with my life has no real influence from others. I can travel the world or different worlds if I want to. I can spend my time making new discovers or being completely irrelevant to society. It is the ultimate freedom.
If they had shown the story from Aurora's perspective, it would've been an interesting TWILIGHT ZONE episode
She (and we) would have to figure out his character, and is he sabotaging the ship to get her attention? Also, we might see her breakdown as she doesn't talk to anyone for months after she discovers Jim woke her.
@@sandal_thong8631 nah that’s dumb. The movie mother already did something like that. Keep it the way it is and try him dying in the end and aurora due to being completely alone does the same thing.
Try not talking to anyone or being around people for more than a week you will go crazy. Now imagine that after a year. Everyone would awaken someone eventually
In this situation I would probably just killed myself
Chris is so talented! I really love his performance in this one.
Too talented. Now everyone will know him as the man who ruined an innocent woman's life for his own interest (admittedly saving others in the process).
No one thinks that lmao what@@TheGreenReaper

What an acting of Chris Pratt great actor it really looks like panic attack i know how it feels he is very great actor👍
The first act of this film should have been told from Aurora’s perspective. You could have them had the 2nd act be told from Chris’s perspective
One of the most underrated films of all time.
No its not😅

Jim is like what have I done
What have you done? I love to hear
I really wish they had this be part of a horror reveal. Have them be happy and courting over this mutual fate of dying alone in space, and then BOOM, reveal that he woke her up.
Would have been better I agree. Have the audience just as oblivious for the reveal.
It would be a predictable twist and would have caused the audience to miss out on the suspense of him waking up
Superb film, very original.
Fishburne has a great line about waking her. It goes something like “ a drowning man will always take someone with him, it ain’t right but the man’s drowning”
He could have just woken up 20 engineers and mechanics like himself to help get to the crew, but no, it had to be the one pretty girl.
lol. Yep, but then it wouldn’t have been as interesting, I suppose.
He just said the crew was in that safe room that he couldn't acces
@@SapphoArimateea The person you replied to said "engineers and mechanics". You can be crew and be an engineer or a mechanic, but not all mechanics and engineers will be in the crew section.
It would be difficult to wake up the exact engineer or mechanic person from the all 5000
Stranded in space with Chris Pratt...that sounds like a pretty good deal to me😂
I would be quite happy with that... had the ship not been falling apart!
Imagine he didnt run away in time and she saw him scurrying away with his toolbox like wth
like that batman running away meme lol
Chris Pratt i love you more one couple
Mopheus says later … its not right but a drowning person Will pulldown whoever is trying to save them
Bro can pick any girl he wants 😂
I bet if you turned on a blacklight to some of those pods it would look like a Jackson Pollock painting😉
As if a flock of seagulls were in there.
He should have woken up 10 women and told the bartender nothing.
Lmao
Brilliant
Hahaha 😂
He barely survived one woman. Lol
@@mhconnect21 That's because he told the bartender, like an idiot.
This is really how I'd feel !
I like the Holographic doctor.
Good morning.
You just spent 120 years in suspended animation.
It's amazing the ship had enough extra food to feed 2 people for 90 years. The movie should have ended with everyone else waking up with 4 months left only to starve to death before arriving.
Dude just opened a door to a hellscape he may not be able to close. As hard as it may be dont do it.
why not three ladies pods.
I never understood why he didn't try to find someone with skills that could help him figure out the problem instead lol
Aaaah... Because it is a movie! LOL
The first minutes It's like when i say to me: I'm not going to visit to my ex...
Well I think we can give him props for only waking up one hot chic and not trying to start a space harem
visually beautiful movie with more plot holes than a ton of Swiss cheese
Like
Not plot holes, but contrivances so they both have to be awake to save the lives of everyone on the ship, and they have a day, then hours, then seconds to do it as a two-person job.
@@sandal_thong8631they are moving at lightspeed but jump outside in space and it's stationary
I wish to be technically proficient with my timing belt and engines ...maybe I should hibernate my car ... no I can DO this
Pablo Escobar from Narcos 🤣🤣🤣
Fate...he woke her up, she helped him save the ship. It had to happen.
I’m petty as fuck I’m waking up everybody😂😂😂
DEBILIDAD ARGUMENTAL

Imagine you woke up with a serial killer.just the 2 of you
It highly unlikely he would have a beard that long after one year.
If she looked like Opra or Maddow she would be alive.
That was pretty selfish for him to do that. She never consented to be released.
This movie wouldn't have been so bad if they had started it when she woke up, and then flashed back after she learned the truth to his side. Then, picked back up at the bar for act 3. It just would've made more sense.
would’ve been so much better
Imagine waking her up and the first this she says is "OK, I'm a vegan and my pronouns are"
If you could spend your life alone with Jennifer Lawrence, would you do it?
Ngl if I was bro I would have woken up everyone idc how sleepy you was how long we got. I rather be hated then alone
Derp @ not waking up the captain
Im confused.... why didnt he just put himself back into sleep?
He can't because his hibernation pod was broken due to a system failure.
If those two spent 50+ years eating and drinking sadly when the others do wake, they'll be little to nothing left.
Think about 4 months worth of provisions for 5000+ passengers not to mention spares and emergency provision. That’s hella lot of food for two people. If you do the math they would’ve never had the chance to eat even 10% of the whole storages.
Let’s say the ship has about 3 meals per day per passenger (not counting spares and emergency provisions). For the last four months when passengers are meant to wake up, thats 5000 x 3 x 120 days = 1,8 million meals.
Even if Aurora and Jim ate 4 meals per day every day for 50 years that’d be 2 x 4 x 18250 days = 146000 meals.
@@creaminthebank they probably ate 4-6 times per day everyday for all those years. Even on the low end of 4 or 5 and 50 years that's 96,000 meals. Could of been more like 60 or 70 years they were alive also... Plus when all that food shot out from the malfunction. Even if it was the low end of 96,000... Leaves 50,000 meals for 5000 humans for 4 months. Again that's just the low end of 5 meals for 2 humans over 50 years.
There's plenty of food.
Cargo bays full of rations
@@danbrennan7348 they only brought food for 5000 people for 4 months. Yes they would have extra because some eat more than others.. that is a pretty substantial amount. But they never would of factored in two people eating and drinking for 50-80 years. Also the malfunctioning food vendor that shot loads of cereal out. I did the math on a previous one along with another. They'd be on quite a dangerous situation if it was closer to 70 or 80 years they are. But even at 50 years that's 95,000 meals.
200 crew x 4 months awake before reaching homestead = 800 months of food
5000 crew x 3 months awake before reaching homestead = 15000 months of food.
15800 months of food is approximately 1316 years worth.
Not to mention that there's likely substantial reserves, as it's not like they'll instantly have industrial food production immediately upon landing. Plus the ending scene shows chickens and livestock in the atrium, to some degree Jim and Aurora must have had a degree of self sufficiency over their life together.
Я именно эту бабу хочу.
i never understood why he didnt clean everything up and act like he was also waking up at the same time as her to me if he said he was up for a year and then all the sudden im up to i would be a little suspicious right from the get go.
I don't think he thought things through that far. He was more interested in not being alone than not being found out.
@@perrycarters3113 yeah i suppose and the bartender probably still would have given him away at some point i think asking the robot to clear its memeory would have also helped lol

Humans are flawed.

Chris slept w her because she knew she could provide something he still needed.
It didn't go far but it was needed.

He should have woken up more women and let them fight
This is a stupid plot. How can they wake up and can't sleep again.
Dont forget later they couldve 100% woken any of the crew up and chose not to.
Fuck that.
There has to be atLEAST 200 other crew on board. One is getting woken the fuck up and is heat venting the ship whether they like it or not.
Anybody they wake up has to contend with the knowledge that they are dead, that the life they had is completely and irrevocably over.
Can you imagine being forcefully woken up and then told that you have been chosen by other people to give up your entire life?
Not gonna lie, some people would just let the ship go down out of spite.
@@perrycarters3113I would have def woke up an engineer for having faulty shit in the first place

I hate this movie, it's crime
I love this movie, because it tells us that even a decent man when he's lonely and desperate could do anything not to go crazy.
If it's other way around people would just ignore it. It's a sign how misandrist our society is. People always have a wrong perception of men, and think women are helpless victims, and men are perpetrators.
@@asoka7752 in whatever gender. It's still crime. You said this to make people sympathy for crime bc you think people wouldn't get mad if a woman does it. It wont work if you want to drive the subject into other to make him less guilty
