  • Are you currently in a pattern of escalation with your child which ultimately increases aggression and the chances of violence occurring?
When your child is kicking off it is challenging! We are all guilty of letting ourselves be drawn in and letting our own levels of anger rise too.
NVR stands for Non-Violent Resistance, it’s an approach which has been developed to address children’s violent or self-destructive behaviours.
NVR seeks to bring about changes in the parent-child relationship such that there is a reduction in violent or destructive behaviours.
Research suggests that NVR can reduce aggressive behaviour and ‘power struggles’ and increase parental supervision and confidence.
By using NVR techniques, you can support your child to work through the underlying issues that are causing the violent outbursts and angry tempers your child is experiencing.

What do I do when my child is smashing holes in the walls and attacking me and his siblings? I have no idea and feel so lost and alone

My son just gets up in my face and yells shut the fuck up shut the fuck up. I called the gardai and refused to have him back. HIs aggression and his intimidation was over nothing. Asking him not to cook at 2am. After he'd been cooking at 12.00 as well.

    What do
You do if your child is asking for something and bosses you around when I ask to wait or to talk to me nicely she then says get it now or I’ll punch you in the head it’s scary and she’s only 4 years old x

I recommend the non violent resistance training - they’ll teach you how to deescalate rather than escalate the aggression
