- White perch are some of the best eating fish in the Bay and they can be a blast to fish for! During the summer months you can find them on most shallow water structure. Light tackle and small lures are a great way to target them. In this video I found myself some nice fish to cook up and show you all how I prefer to cook them. I hope you enjoy!
New suby..Never fished for white perch but there's a lake in my area that's over populated and has no limits. Didn't do too good today but ima go back with a different approach next time, thanks 💪🏾💯

They would be really good with some Pickled Eel Feet !
If you want to totally change the taste of those perch fillets, clip their gills and bleed them out as soon as you catch them. The fillets won't be fishy and they'll be snow white. They take on whatever spice you put on them.
We bleed other fish but haven't done it with perch. I'll make sure to try that the next time I am out!

yes you can actually fish good until late august, then it's getting a bit harder depending on temps

Thanks for the sub! Scent can help for sure I think it depends on the situation. We have used fish bomb in the past with good success!
Next time try melting some butter then add garlic powder to it with just salt and pepper on your fish! You can also do shrimp, cod ,grouper, salmon and many other types of fish.
Buy a phone case where you can put a leash on your phone, I made my own with 20lb braid line works great !

I use the St Croix panfish light action with a Shimano Ultegra 500 for white perch and trout. It’s a great all around set up and launches super light lures!
