    Great information on installing a seat suspension post and seat! It will help a lot of folks changing them out for better ones. The stock seat was unbearable for us, so we upgraded those right away.

    I just ordered my Zoom suspension seatpost for my new Juiced RipCurrent S fat tire ebike. I also ordered a memory foam seat to replace the hard gel seat that came with the ebike. I had a suspension seatpost on my Trek road bike so I know they really work. Between the 4" fat tires, comfy saddle, and suspension seatpost, my rides will be ultra-comfortable.

    Life saver, was confused why nothing would fit and didn't realize you needed to remove the whole old mounting mechanism. The only thing I would say is now my Cloud 9 seat squeaks when I take off too much weight. Not sure if it's a seat design but I'll probably swap to another one if this keeps up.

    Although the Zoom post tension comes preset from the manufacture, I'm just wondering why you didn't mention anything about this option and how one goes about adjusting the tension bolt located at the very bottom of the seatpost(?)

    • @ouRVisionnomadicliving
      @ouRVisionnomadicliving  5 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Will. I didn't mention it in the video because to be frank, at the time I had no idea the tension was adjustable. I just opened the box, and installed them on the bikes as shown. I still haven't messed with the adjuster on either bike. Just haven't felt the need to. Thanks for watching & commenting. 👍 Sean

    I followed your video, but the teeth were stripped out because the zoom suspension in the video is backward. If you have a cloud 9 seat and this zoom post, you have to install the seat on the bar in the opposite position. I'm just trying to save others from the same issue. Thank you for the video.

    • @ouRVisionnomadicliving
      @ouRVisionnomadicliving  Год назад +1

      Hi Roger, I have had a few comments over the last year about mounting the clamps on the seat opposite of what I show in the video. I'm sorry you had an issue. I mounted both our bike seats on the posts as shown in the video and have had no issues with either of them. I have seen a few videos where people have had to use vice grips to separate the rails on the seat in order to get them clamped on. I suspect that whenever you have parts made from different manufactures, there can be issues. I guess I was fortunate not to have any problems. Thanks for watching and enjoy!! 🍻 Sean

    • @ouRVisionnomadicliving
      @ouRVisionnomadicliving  2 месяца назад

      I have seen videos where individuals with that situation will use a pair of pliars to pinch the "rails" on the seat together so they could then install the "clamp". Fortunately I didn't run into that issue. I hope that helps. Sean

    • @ouRVisionnomadicliving
      @ouRVisionnomadicliving  7 месяцев назад

      HI Jake, thanks for watching. Unfortunately I couldn't say. I have never ridden a bike with Lectrics Comfort package. When we ordered our bikes in June 2019 Lectric only offered the bikes, they didn't offer any accessories such as the comfort package. That said, total cost for our seats and the zoom post was about $60.00, I do believe that the cloud 9 seats have gone up in price since we purchased them. Not sure what the current price is on the comfort package as they run deals all the time. Take Care! Sean

    • @ouRVisionnomadicliving

      I suppose you could install it either way. Changing the position of how you mount the bracket on the seat just slightly affects the position of the seat from the handle bars. Thanks so much for watching. 👍🍻 Sean

    • @ouRVisionnomadicliving
      @ouRVisionnomadicliving  2 года назад

      @@ProdByDiStefano You adjust the tilt by repositioning the two "sandwich" pieces one way or the other, then tighten up the allen screws when you achieve the tilt you desire. I show this in the video when I am talking about adjusting the tilt so the nose of the seat won't "crotch" Angie. Hope this helps.

    Great job. Made it all seem so easy. Might even give it a good myself. Do you find the shorter Zoom post to be a problem? I prefer a more aggressive riding position but the shorter post looks like it might be more suited for upright seating position.

      Hi Chris. Thanks. The short post has been fine with us. Both Angie & I are 5'5". I can see that for taller riders it could be an issue. You might want to post that question on the Lectric FB forum to see what taller riders have to say. Thanks for watching & commenting. 🍻 Sean

    Did you get instructions with your post? I believe the manufacturer says to install with the fasteners on the rear side vs on the front as you did. I realise your video shows you can still get it adjusted the way you needed but maybe they have a reason for their instruction. I would hope by not following the instructions you won't have it fail & injure yourself or your wife (or anyone who follows your instructions instead of the manufacturer). I have a Zoom seat post myself and my butt agrees it improves the comfort of an e-bike.

      There were no instructions when I received the posts. I went ahead and installed the seats as shown in the video. I made this installation video over a year ago..Haven't had any issues.
