@@kokobopjammer2571 The black coat in wolves does come from inbreeding with dogs, BUT this inbreeding was happening a good 14,000 years ago, so it is not a recent thing. A lot of gray wolves in the Americas today do still carry this gene that originally came from dogs but since the breeding was happening thousands of years ago, they are still wolves. Similar to how early homo sapiens cross breed with Neanderthals back in the ice age, but we are still considered Homo sapiens. So both you and OP are partly right, hope this helps 😁

Black wolves are hybrid dog between wolf long time ago.
They are near by domestic dog.
Wolves come in a variety of colors. Them having black coats is not indicative of being hybrid dogs. Whered you get that idea?
