I too really like that the ore transport through portals was added as an actual part of the gameplay. It feels like a reward for getting this far in the game. I love it.
it should because because thats exactly what it is
@@joganaround7630 you can literally just spawn everything in. Why even bother playing the game
@@joganaround7630 So ?
@@joganaround7630yea, if you want to cheat??? His point was that it was rewarding, meaning that it’s such a nice thing to have and it’s deserved to be granted late game.
Ya super cool. Once u get to end of game, reward for not needing ores anymore, u can now travel with ores... lol.
The Siege weapons can be used against existing foes and to rapidly destroy resource nodes when it comes to the battering ram as it takes apart copper, tin, black marble ruins with impunity.
the new Catapult and Battering Ram has been proven to be very useful in the Plains biome, not just ashlands. catapult has enough range to eradicate entire fuling villages without them allowing to trace the attack back to you, making them helpless to your siege. battering rams can destroy rock formations, AND ores, and can do so incredibly FAST.
The stone mining with battery ram is actually useful, but the catapult clearing Fuling villages is definitely not, because by the time you're in the Ashlands, Fulings are nothing but a joke that you kill in two hits anyway, so the catapult method is actually slower at clearing their villages than going there yourself and killing them.
@@fourcgames7568 depends. I like collecting loot from fuling bases but I can't be assed to massacre them directly in person. So stuff like Ballista turrets and now-Catapults are a godsend for players like me. And I do enjoy lobbing explosive rocks upon those green bastards lol
You'd have to do quite a bit of skipping around in the game to get these in time to be useful for plains. Would such a skip even be possible? And the mistlands made us hard, we laugh at the plains these days. Would be way more difficult to get the catties just to get through plains. I can see them being useful to have some fun going BACK to the plains to mess around.
@@Thingsyourollup "i can see them being useful to have some fun"
exactly. I'm not the the type to go balls deep in full melee combat against entire goblin villages, and I'm sure there are other players like me who prefer to just setup siege weapons and just bombard the shit out of them. That's why when the Ballista turret was introduced to Valheim I made gathering crafting mats for it a priority so I can lay siege to concentrated mob spawns like fuling villages. And now the Ashlands update has given me a new toy in the form of the Catapult~
you can also get the catapults to get in the Drakkar boat and lock in the boat for a wonderful seaside siege. or launch yourself by standing in the area where you load the ammo (feather cape recommended)
I think the flaming sword we can get will be very useful in the next biome, the Great north. I'm betting we'll be facing frost giants, and what better weapon is there to fight frost giants with than a flaming sword?
I’m hoping frost giants for the main enemy or maybe the mini bosses, then I hope we get new npcs instead of dwarves we get like elves idk just think it would be dope
Im just wondering what kind of lamps and chandeliers and other wall sconces i'll be able to make with it lol.
I hope its good for deep north. The sword is just hangin on a item frame in my base somewhere. I maxed it out too lmao
it's always nice when the progression actually lines up, like it felt really weird to get all that silver anti-undead weaponry in the mountains ... right after we got done fighting all the undead in the swamps using bronze and iron gear.
Im super stoked. I started levelling up my magic and practicing combat as a mage in mostly carapace with one robe piece and realizing I should have used magic in the mistlands.
yeah I was genuinely wondering how the Mistlands are even possibly right up until unlocking magic and then I solo'd the queen with it lol
Womt you be able to get that lord as a raid event and get his trophy again like the others?
Also, don’t remember if I mentioned it before or seen it in one of your previews, I gotta know… how excited are you for Light no Fire? 😮 Bro I cannot wait for that one
I really don't like the catapult. It just feels like a worse version of the battering ram. It's fun to lob your ass halfway across the map, but in the actual sieges, it doesn't deliver as much as the battering ram does.
pretty sure its legit made to be what is essentially an attachment to your boat
I love it launching my self inside the castle and use it to destroy spawners from far away i think is a reslly fun construcción to have
@@kieranlackey Yeah I've seen people do that, and although I think in concept it's really cool, there just isn't really a reason to do that. The catapult isn't going to accurately hit enemies that are on land (unless you line up the perfect shot or get lucky) when you are in the boat and if anything it's just going to aggro them making your next shot miss them entirely. In my experience so far, I haven't found a charred fortress on the coastline, they're always at least a little bit deeper inland, so you can't really use it for that, at the very least reliably. I will say, it will definitely be fun to pull up on a camp of fulings or dvergr and start lobbing explosives at them. I'm personally still gonna use the catapults during the sieges with my homie just cuz they are fun and cinematic to use. Also, here's hoping that it can be useful going into the Deep North, either in ship combat or raiding enemies.
@@alekruberry2939 Maybe they'll be needed on a boat to destroy icebergs on the way to the Deep North?
Catapults are a blessing for very hard difficulty, and mass mining flametal
Are we getting an animated trailer like we did for hearth and home and mistlands?
Not sure honestly
I do hope so. This game still has great potential
Great video but couldn't you have muted that background video?? Thought I had left some other tab playing some other tutorial lol
Hmmm on my end there was no extra sound but my bad just an error, i hear it now yeah oh well lesson for next time
@@JadePGSurvival Love your videos so I'll keep an ear out!! lol
Where can i get confirmation of the releasedate from a reliable source?
its literally ingame on xbox version? jesus wept
So it comes out tmr for everyone?
Catapault + Fenring + Feather cape + Tallest Mountain Peak on Your World
The one thing that they REALLY have to fix before this thing goes live, is the texture misalignment on the ground. it makes horrible marks all over the world, especially in bases/cities previously built.
I was wondering why I keep seeing those everywhere. Thought something was wrong with my save.
I do i downdload the new update on console?
The new build bits are epic, so many new combinations, it's super tough, I'm stoked with it so far, 20 odd deaths just to get a portal down, it's as hard as it should be, just gonna give the devs some luv, and try harder., lol
Getting to the ashland with the clunky big a** boat is the hardest for me.
They did spread the spires more in an early patch which made it much better imo. it's just that you still can't blitz through on sails.
Personally, i like that it makes you take your time a bit, makes it an ominous journey with risks of running into danger.
That date is an error. Its not the official release date for the Ashlands update, according to devs
Yeah who said so? Could well be but it's the info we have right now on the games menu, if it's not fingers crossed not far behind
We have to keep waiting till 2025
Sneak needs a rework
I absolutly love the game. Only wish crossplaynwas a thing as Id love to hang and play with freinds
Dude crossplay is a thing you can play xbox and steam
@@JadePGSurvival I'm more relating to playstation atm
@@dragunlundberg9582 eight but its not out on playstation, wont be til 1.0 arrives end of 2025
Wait so it releases today? (Seeing this as 1am)
its out in pc. 10hours ago it came out in steam.
@@SandlyCut lucky ducks lol. Days like this make me regret not switching to PC.
who is speaking in the background? really bugging me
was an erro its pretty low tho but yeha forgot to turn my gameplay down all the way
What's that noise in the background? Doesn't add anything positive to the experience...
Talking from live stream gameplay
Seems way too soon for a stable release, especially with the listed bugs on their site and what people are still experiencing.
Is that really what you fink ?
Accidental typo = 100% confirmed
Lmao, nice clickbait
first 😂
i think the difficulty is still too hard for casual player
If only there were like....world modifier settings for enemy difficulty
@@Elite02k if only there were cheats u could use when things get too hard..... i mean i would never do that
@hydrogenmissle it's not cheating if the game let's you do it outside of a developer/debug mode
@Elite02k you can dance around it all you want, but it's still cheating lol. Which go for it, play your game how you want to, but don't pretend that is equal to people who play legit.
Valheim is literally called "a brutal exploration game".. What part of that description makes you think it was ever intended for casuals?
there is talking in the background(dislike)
wow what a twat, clearly just asmall error, what kind of weirdo tells you they disliked it instead of just saying hey tip for next time
@@JadePGSurvival(walking contradiction) has told me to be more polite while cursing me...
tbh Ashlands feels like a filler biome, as a preparation for the final Deep North biome and I really hope they do a much better job on that one - when its there
Completely disagree
Well that's a ...hot take.👀
