Mine is currently “jujutsu kaisen” because of the animation, and the characters. And” the girl from nowhere”- it has an amazing way of story telling.
i've heard so much about jujutsu kaisen! a few of my friends have recommended it highly, i really need to give it a watch!

Bruh Jujutsu Kaisen got me on the first two episodes, I was so shocked I’ve never in awhile had an anime so drawn into and ending up watching more episodes
If you like Girl From Nowhere, I suggest you read Dear X on webtoons. The mc has a very similar vibe to Nanno. Like their way too similar, even the way they look.

Demon Slayer is definitely an all-time favorite. And any art related to it, that is done as beautifully as yours, is even better. Honestly, the show just knows how to capture emotion, and the writers really make the plot seamless and amazing to be invested in. Love the art :)

I kinda teared up a bit when you mentioned Digimon. It is so rare to find another person who grew up as a Digidestined. I’ve been depressed for a long time but whenever I rewatch the series (as well as the new sequels like Tri, Adventure Kizuna, and Adventure 2020) gives me a feeling of joy that I haven’t felt since I was a kid. Nostalgia truly is the rosiest of rose glasses.
I watched some of Tri with 2 friends and it was really good. We all teared up at one point. I'm sure you could guess when.
I just have to say, since discovering kelogsloop amazing artistic work, I have felt inspired to get back into watercolors and my own art. Truly an astounding artist.

I love demon slayer because it one the best and first series that I’ve seen genuine and kind people portrayed without being naive. Something beautiful and truthful about kindness being so raw but not naive. I love it so deeply

I think I've come to terms with haikyuu being one of my favorite shows, both in animation and manga the story is so fun to me! I've been pretty far from a sporty person in life, but this story about this tiny dude playing volleyball and seeing his ambitions take hold of his dreams...amazing. I have watched the series too many times to count, yet the scenes keep me on edge just the same. The main character's development is so wonderful and inspiring that it can be applied to anyone who wants to achieve something that seems farfetched - the idea that your passion for said thing is all you really need to get started, and when challenges, support, and learning are applied all you can do from that point is grow. It's really a great story with tons of likable characters, just like demon slayer
I can't wait to pick you for one my artist for next year's art year where we have to pick artists for 100 choices and you are there and I decided to pick you so I'm happy to attempt something like this next year.

As for what shows I enjoy ... I really liked Dororo, for a lot of the same reasons I love demon slayer. It's very connected to Japanese culture and is even slightly historical! And of course, there's a cool dude with a sword xD

My favorite show is definitely Gravity Falls. One of the first shows that absolutely blew me away. It's nothing too fancy, but the writing is delightful. I think its where my appreciation for story-writing first came to light. On the surface its so goofy, but the characters are so relatable and real. Their development is highlighted well and I couldn't be any more in-love with the art.
For anyone who wants to watch something with family and friends, 'ya can't go wrong with Gravity Falls. The Mystery Twins rock. 💕

Firstly this painting is soo good!!!
Secondly my favorite show/Anime of all time is Violet Evergarden. I think it perfectly reflects how veterans feel after the come home from war and the struggles they must face as they readjust. I always cry while watching the show it’s make you feel something so deeply and I believe any piece of entertainment should do this.
It also helps that the art is fucking beautiful. If you haven’t seen the show, please do!
I almost teared up while watching this video because I remember doing a lot of watercolor art back then, and most of them were influenced by you, but I stopped doing it for almost three years now due to fcking depression, but seeing ur art again after almost three years made me feel like I need to go back to what I used to love before. akatsuki no yona has been one of my favorite anime i've ever watched. not only the story being based on old and traditional life of korean (?), but the protagonist is a princess that learned how to fight using sword and archery throughout the adventure. i recommend this to everyone to watch

Demon slayer is one of my favorite shows honestly largely because of the art style, animation and score. Being an artist a lot of that are things I notice and pay attention to
As for the writing the characters are all great and the manga writing for later on is fantastic

this is amazing!! i feel like demon slayer was made for you, your art feels so similar in its concepts. I loved demon slayer, but my favorite anime would have to be fruits basket! i love the idea of “found family” behind it, and it explores such sad situations while also finding moments to be silly and happy, and really just reflects what life is like.

Also, my favorite anime is called Gintama. I love because of it because of its funny story and really wholesome and sweet charcter interactions between the main three charcters. I also enjoy when the story gets serious and the amazing fight scenes and heart filled stories. I also like the over arching story that is hinted at from the first episodes without realizing. And of course I LOVE everything about the main guy Gintoki.
Fulmetal Alchemist!!
Love the characters and their interactions, the world building, the alchemical system, the action and especially the storyline. The art is also unique, not a typical anime style but more true to the original mangaka's art style. The characters are not skinny like in most anime and yet there is something more unexplainable about the art style that really sets it a part from the rest.
There’s no right or wrong way for art
The way u do it and evrything can express your feelings emotion and even pass the message u wan to pass to others
Man I love Demon Slayer so much. I started it pretty late since the manga already finished, but I literally watched it in one sitting with no breaks LOL. I love the art style and how action-y it was but it still was able to hit the feels with the backstory of the all the characters. The amount of culture in the anime was amazing as well since I grew up with anime too. So I guess we like Demon Slayer for similar reasons!

I absolutely adore Fullmetal alchemist Brotherhood and Steins;gate.
The first series have such an interesting plot and characters, along with amazing storytelling. It's surprising how It's able to show us the path of every more or less important character!
Oh, and the Steins;Gate. I love the main hero and his interactions with other characters, chemistry between them as much as I love the science fiction genre
To me my favorite Anime will always me Fullmetal Alchemist (original and Brotherhood), as my deceased brother and I were watching the first series together before he passed away when he was 9 years old. Now, this anime and the manga has a greater importance to me, it helped me through my grief and accepting his loss (just imagine : watching a show were the older brother wants to bring his younger sibling's body back/bring him back to life after losing him violently when you wish to be able to speak to your dead sibling once again, at least to say goodbye... I couldn't identify more than that with Ed).
I didn't knew about Demon Slayer that much and when I've read the summary it reminded me of this Anime, so I might go to watch/read it really soon.

I have a fun fact for ya!
The fact that you said both of those is perfect. You see, in the final decades of the 1800s European and western art got more in contact with asian and African art. The post-impressionist art movement is the first one to take hints of inspiration, mostly the use of flat surfaces with color (Gauguin and Vangogh). Skipping some art movements, we get to art nouveau around the 1900/1910s. Besides the Greek/Roman gods and muses influence we have clear japanese inspiration. The use of nature is incredibly present because of that.
The contact with ukio-e art changed western art so much. One of the things that we see in ukio-e pieces is the quotidian life. When people are represented, they're doing everyday things. Not posing dramatically, not bothered by the fact that there's an espectator. So we'd see people with their backs turnt to the public. It was "more realistic" because you were actually representing something from real life that wasn't perfectly placed there for the sake of the painting. It was just how it was.
Ok... I'll stop rambling. Also, pardon my English, it's a second language.
Your Lie In April is my favourite anime. Classic Japanese slice of life anime with beautiful animation and story. It means a lot to me as a classical musician and the message of how to live life, finding purpose and enduring loss and hardships

When I see this piece being painted from scratch ..it doesn't look that difficult...... But the seeing the whole piece as a whole seems so intimidating 😭😭

his art style is my favourite of all times.
Mine is mob physo because of the simplistic design yet complex characters and the fact that you can change which made me think that maybe I can change too so it has given me the motivation to practice art.
I enjoy watching ghibli films over and over again, because I often amazed by the craftsmanship of the background lol. I love the ones made by Hayao Miyazaki, the lessons and inspirations I get from his creations are just forever.
P.s: I am waiting for a painting challenge where you would use your least favorite color, I just can’t imagine how this dynamic style of you, in forest colors. :))))))

my favorite animated show is Steven universe. I just found so much comfort and joy in watching this series. the style, animation, plot, music, color palette - everything was simply amazing. also, there was a lot of great representation of queer&trans characters with is a big plus :)
I love this piece, also found so many tips for painting in this, can’t wait to try them out. I am so easy to influence with television and movies, as long as i feel i can connect with someone on the screen i will watch it devotedly, but one movie that really hit me hard was Wolf children, normally i would say Your name, or Weathering with you or maybe even Your lie in April, but for me the style in Wolf children, the way you get to experience the hardships of parenting and the hardships of being a kid feeling different, just do it for me. The style is simple animation but the faces express such emotion, the music is beautiful the pace of the movie is great. Would love to do a piece where the whole family is in it, like a movie poster, hopefully with a bit more practice i will be able to.

My favorite is Once Upon A Time, because none of the characters are purely good or bad. It takes all the fairy tale characters and gives them depth. Villains have understandable motives and back stories, while the heroes don’t always to the “good” thing. Out of 7 seasons I can only think of 2 characters that were truly evil, and they aren’t even the villains of their stories.
I was never exposed to anime or things like that except for The Last Airbender, but I hope to explore the genre more.
Violet Evergarden: BEAUTIFUL EVERYTHING. I highly suggest it because the animation style is top-notch. I can imagine your style to work well with this anime :D

My favorite anime is Violet Evergarden. I love the early 20th century-esque setting thats sort of an alternate world take on that era in ours. And the artstyle is absolutely incredible, it was animated by kyoto animations so thats no suprise. Above all else though i love the characters, especially Violet herself. She goes on an incredible journey to learn about and come to terms with her emotions and guilt after growing up as a child soldier.

Wolf's Rain- the story,the quotes,the Art and Character-Designs and the music, it never let me go and is the best anime series i've seen in ages.

based on your style and what you said you like, i think you'd love Mushi-shi. it's one of my all-time favs, in fact probably one of my fav shows period. it takes place in a historical late Edo/early Meiji period and follows a man who handles "Mushi", little light creatures that can sometimes cause problems for humans. it's very ethereal and atmospheric while still having high stakes and action in some episodes, i think it would be right up your alley!
