- Video 2 in my "Trucking" series. Here I take you through filling out a typical Drivers Daily Log. Leave annotations on as there are some important notes available. The daily log is required to ensure that you're following the regulations determining your hours off, driving hours, etc. You must always have your last 14 days worth of logs available, by law.
Thanks a million this is very helpful for new drivers like us without any formal training.
Thanks man, video was helpful. I just completed my transport training, now just waiting to do my MTO AZ road test in 2 days. I understand the hours of service and log books, just your video helped clarify some things since we didn't fill out some sections during training, just the basics. Wish me luck, I've come into this training with practically zero experience to leaving with the basics of an AZ Driver. My instructor is proud of how I grasped onto the tools and lessons he gave me and says that I'm ready for the road test. Just hoping the nerves will be minimal test day.
Did the US get the idea to do these annoying log books from Canada or was it the other way around?
Just got back behind the wheel after 5yrs look at my new log book and was super worried but thanks for this info it helps but I'm still tripping over a few things
at around min 5:30, u went from line 1 to on duty, if you are in your truck but off duty, do you go from line 2 (sleeper berth) to on duty?
So how would this have looked? So you have to actually show the pretrip on the log book?
That was good help thank you
Is it the same between Canada and America? What changes should I know if not?
