    This was the premiere to season six of TV's all time greatest Western, Bonanza. Matter of fact, this marked the beginning of what turned out to be Pernell Roberts' final season as Adam Cartwright on the legendary show. I could tell at times that Pernell became disgruntled and unhappy with his role on the show, especially during the opening credits of this episode.

    I wonder why bounty hunting was such a frowned on profession. I wonder if this show actually depicts that attitude in the old west. If so, why? Wasn't Johnny Chapman doing society a favor getting rid of criminals?

    • @antonioacevedo5200

      This program isn't the only one that I have seen where bounty hunters were looked down on. Perhaps that was just the overall attitude in the west at that time. One of the few times that Hollywood has put any truth into their dramas.

    19:45 What Little Joe told Johnny is the best message, in fact this whole episode reflects on our right to bear arms. It's amazing all the old westerns were about the right to bear arms. The government neither left or right opposed it. What the liberals have turned our country into is raise and teach that guns kill people but have not taught the true intention of the 2nd Amendment. It must have been a great era (60s) when no one opposed the right to bear arms.

    • @multirichardb
      @multirichardb 2 года назад

      These attacks on our right to bear arms is an attempt by groups paid for by the Narcist communist George Soros, he wants to be the one that destroys America, and he has friends, pelosi, bitch Clinton and many others that worship wealth. His attempts will fail, we are a lose and free-spirited culture. We have too many people like President Trump and we all love truth smart assed people that are honest, and speak straight. Joe Rogan is another, Tucker Carlson, Jesse Walters on the news. We won't become another Australia or Venezuala it's not gonna happen here, ever.

      What an idiotic comment. 2021 is not the wild west of 1800's. Those guns are not the same as today's assault rifles. And the "true" intent of the 2nd amendment was for a well trained militia. But go ahead keep your guns. As this show illustrates, the guy finally died by a gun.
