He’s one of the great masters on the earth today. This music is genius level.
I saw some ichika nito haters on r/guitar circlejerk. I met ichika in Thailand once and I can tell that his playing is legit and not fake.
Illusory Sense is when I found his music. I had to share it. Those EPs are immaculate. His NAMM appearance really shows that he’s emotionally attached to what he plays at the time, and doesn’t concern himself with impressing others. Personally, I would have flexed a little. Lol
I completely agree with your statement on his NAMM show. You can feel the passion behind his playing and those EPs are seriously something else. His sound and style is truly unique
I found his music on "i miss you" and immediately fell in love. Underrated artist must rise!!
Ichika also plays the harp! I found him because of Marcin. He’s definitely a top listen of mine on Spotify. Like the calm counterpart to Hiromi’s upbeat and creative jazz which I also love.
Whenever I feel like I am good enough in guitar I watch him and the other Modern Guitar legends to humble myself (and push myself even further)
Yup he’s the reason I started playing music.
I have been a big fan for his music production 5 years ago, and witnessing him progress through the years is extraordinary
cant wait till people are making videos about "how mon floral changed music as we know it"
HAHAHA I'm waiting for the day
I can't wait either , i am new view but it been fun watching him make content and i don't play any instruments but i can see talent when it's there . I look up to him along with other guitarist and I hope one day I'll be able be as good as them or even better. I wish him the best as well .
Awesome job!! I totally enjoyed watching this video. I see you enjoy what you do and take great care and time in providing quality videos. Thank you!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
The other guitarist of ATS is the former member of a Japanese progcore band named Abstracts.Their debut album is incredibly good featuring Mark Holcomb and another Japanese guitarist Satoshi Oka who plays in a unique style with his whammy bar.
Abstracts is good!!! I'll have to go listen to that album
My number one artist on spotify 2023 baby! Truly nothing else out there quite like his work.
Amazing video quality, super authentic in front of the camera. Keep it up. Instant sub!
amazing video and editing
Great video mate! Keep it up!
Just came across your channel today and well done on making this video! So well organized and executed monologue!
Ichika Nito is one of my favorite guitarists. Keep up the quality videos! I enjoy this content
Love your vid bro, keep it up🔥
Thank you, amazing video bro
Nice video very thorough
Amazing next level player! 👏 I would also suggest checking out the legendary Stanley Jordan who was using his pianistic "touch technique" back in the 80's. His versions of Stairway To Heaven, Elenor Rigby, and Lady In My Life are epic!
Ichika is something seriously special, especially as his stuff is, regardless of technicality, always so heavily melody focused. That can really set him apart from other modern players
Theres just something different about his music, thats just a step above the rest for me. Songs like ‘orb’, ‘awakening’ are just on a different level
Hey, new sub here. I really love what you do, and it's much appreciated. The in depth look into artists and their history is great. I'm excited to dig into your catalogue of content. Keep it up.
Thanks so much! Glad you're enjoying the content
Just popped in to understand more of this dude. I was boom operating at an izakaya for Chanel for an instagram thing a couple days ago and this guy pops up and plays the most amazing most mystical solo I’ve ever heard.
Great video, great voice. Just subbed.
What an amazing video! Thank you very much!
Glad I found your channel, Ichika is like a real life music anime protagonist lol
saw him in turkey, loved it
I just wanna say, before I was recommended "i miss you" by ichika nito, I felt that electric guitars were this very "noisy" instrument and refused to ever want to play it. However, watching that 30s clip simply changed my entire perception of electric guitar and guitar as a whole. It inspired me to create music the same as him.
I greatly appreciate your work. I'm assuming you've heard of Stanley Jordan, another guitarist who approaches the instrument like a piano. I thought of him when I first saw Ichika.
I love your videos! I really don't know how guitar can evolve any further than how these players have done it ... Also fyi Ichika's name is better pronounced if you don't put the stress on the middle syllable, and instead make the the first syllable the most prominent. So it's pronounced "Each-kah" (forgot to mention, the "i" sound in "chi" is mostly silent). In comparison, you (and many westerners) automatically stress the middle syllable of japanese names, which is actually not common in japanese names :)
amazing vid. i really wish among the sleep lasted longer than it did
I feel the exact same
Ichika is one of the pioneers of the..polyphonic guitar movement(or piano style)....certainly instantly recognisable for his music and style(and thats a rarity for guitarists).if i could choose to be one guitarist i would still wanna. be Guthrie Govan for that genious on the spot improvisonal god level skills but if the task is one guitar,no band impress me then ichika has no competition.....
"IS THIS the same guy who was on a "(insert Country Here)'s Got Talent" type of show?
I saw some asian ''kid", i think Japanese
He added more drumming type beats than what i am seeing here.
there are loads of great guitar players in Japan
No Ichika is the only guitar player in Japan
I did the research, he really is the only one :0
Yeah fr, TK is my absolute favourite guitar player
@@monfloral you plainly can't research.
kazuhito yamashita is Japans greatest Gutarist hands down. Itchika may get there one day.
yo anyone recognize the ibanez at 0:56?
I play and listen to more Americana/classic Rock style guitar (thru to "modern" guitarists like Jack White) but I'll gladly accept this style. I don't care for the Tosin Abasi style "math rock" stuff, but this uber clean piano guitar is great
Best advice playing guitar never learn nothing just strum until you understand listen to lot music than you will find a way create your own style
Ichika, Marcin, and Tim from polyphia best picks

Could anyone post the name of the two guitar players
(male & female) which appear in this time 5:26 and 5:34.
First is a clip of Ichika and other is Yvette Young
Ichika Nito is not human. There, I said it. 😂
Surely he meant he’s played since he was five years old ??
he actually started playing at 15 years old
started playing piano at 3 and started bass as a teenager. He thought he'd stay a bassist until he tried guitar someday
Good video but japanese guitarist kent nishimura imo's better .
