It won so many Oscars but lots of people including a bunch of Japanese people find it meh. My brother even said to me after watching it on Netflix recently that it was 🗑.

Underrated is the Japanese version of Moomin. That's childhood along with Shin-chan and Doraemon. Galaxy 999 too, but when I was a little older. Such a good series.
An underrated anime that I wish was licensed in the US is Major. For some reason the sequel series is (Major 2nd), but the original series and OVA aren't. There's lots of baseball anime out there, but Major is by far the best. I love how it focuses on a single character's journey from Little League all the way up to achieving his dream of becoming a player in the Major Leagues. I also like that the main character isn't always successful and has realistic setbacks such as injuries, and eligibility when he gets to the high school level of baseball.

Mine is One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, Fate Stay Night Fate Zero, Slam Dunk, Kuroko no Basket, Your Name, Weathering with You Suzume no Tojimari, Dragon Ball Z + Super, Oshi No Ko, Death Note, City Hunter: Angel Dust, Fullmetal Alchemist, Detective Conan, Code Geass, Ano Hana, Nodame Cantabile, Clannad, Shuffle, Hunter X Hunter, Violet Evergarden, Yu Yu Hakusho, Steins Gate
JJK is a solid entry level anime. Visually appealing, enough likable characters, some good fight sequences, and enough emotional deaths. Where it ranks amongst other anime is obviously subjective but for first time watchers it's easy to digest and get in to anime from there.
JJK sn I was good at best and made people hooked once 0 came out but honestly Mappa messed up sn 2 badly the only good thing was the hidden inventory but shibuya was not pleasing at all
nah that guy is a clown, he got forced to watching aot and didn't get in to it and while watching, tries to. figure out foreshadowing, just watch and relax forget about all the opinions of people telling u its too complicated
I kinda understand this... so you had over 20 years now to watch one piece... and it get better and better every ark. forshadowing from 10 years ago finaly gets revealed and all that easy and enjoyable to follow. Otherside AOT very dark alot of complicated plot lines... and I felt nothing when the last seaon came out.... When the last one piece ark is done oh boy....I will watch that over and over again.
I personally love Pandora Hearts and Dead Mount Death Play😍😍😍 For someone who has read both the manga and watched the anime, I can say both are such underrated stories😭
Blue Lock being named as underrated is so real (ok it isn't THAT nugu, but only in comparison to other sports anime like Haikyuu, Kurokou and Slam Dunk). I like how that one guy mentioned it focuses on personal growth much more when other sports anime focuses a lot on friendships and teamwork. In particular, the perspective of Greed and selfishness was very nuanced.
Have people forgotten Samurai Champloo? The intro song might be my favorite all time anime intro song and a must have on random playlists along with some other chill Nujabe mixed beats. It's a great story about two master swordsman who reluctantly agree to play body guard for a young woman that's looking for a missing person. The fight scenes are top notch interjected with vinyl record scratching and fun facts from the Edo Era of Japan. It has character growth, tons of comedy, break dance fighting, and possibly the best all around vibing anime soundtrack that I've ever heard. It ties itself up very nicely and you can't help but be emotionally invested in Mugen, Jin, and Fuu. Lots of mature themes but nothing a teenager can't handle. If you haven't even heard of it then it's because it's been forgotten in shuffle of near infiinite mediocre content that is everywhere. So yeah...that's my all time fave. Underrated anime might be Netflix's "Dorohedoro"? Totally bizarre but despite it's dark magic theme has cute relationships and an obvious love for dumplings and psychedelic colors. Really cool fight scenes, strange masks, weirdly embraces the macabre, and a cool intro song. Not for kids but it's so over the top that it doesn't take it's own violence seriously. Kind of impossible to accurately describe but it's wonderfully weird. Would LOVE a live action because it would be so nuts to see in that format. I still haven't seen "Chainsaw Man" but animated gifs that I see here and there have some really epic animation. One Piece is amusing but moves so slow I'm surprised more people didn't give it an overrated rating but I've only see a few episodes. I was shocked to enjoy the Netflix live action but they really honored the source material in a way that impressed me. Would love to get sucked into a new anime or old one that I wasn't aware of...

OMG YES!! Super underrated
No it's average I watched whole anime I liked it but is not underrated
OG Dororo is really underrated.
Great video!
Can you do a video about manga?
There might be some overlap with Anime but there are a lot of great manga out there without Anime so it'd be interesting to see what people think.
I don’t like most of anime adapted from my favorite manga 😂.
The Yo-Kai Watch and Inazuma Eleven combo in this video 🔥🔥🔥🔥🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🔥🤌🏻
The girl who said Natsume Yuujinchooooooo is the BEST.
i found this channel randomly and as a big fan of anime i liked this video for someone who live in Tunisia i found out lately an anime called kingdom where shin the slave guy who dream about being a great general with a full story of wars in ancien china and i think its really underrated
Bro out here asking the REAL questions! The girls reaction @7:07 made me laugh. I definitely enjoyed the editing choices! Another great video! Thank you for sharing with us! I am still just watching Bleach lol I really liked 7 Deadly Sins too tho. I am going to have to mine these responses for research! XD
Whoa a bookwalker collab, that’s the first time I’ve seen one, usually it’s those snack boxes 😅
Bookwalker is great ❤
Homie with the Masterful Cat suggestion knows what’s up 😎
Most underrated anime is Death Parade. It’s SO GOOD, yet no one seems to know about it.
14:07 he didn't feel anything after watching anohana????????? MAN I CRIED SO HARD WHILE WATCHING IT
he has no soul
Same here. It's actually one of the most boring animes I've ever watched
One of my all time favorite would be "Steins;gate". Insane story telling, and quite underrated nowadays.
It’s a masterpiece
The others weren't quite as good
True me and my friends love it but I think it's not as popular now
@@spidernevi I don’t know why it’s Not popular because everyone needs to see it.
Underrated and under popular are two different things you know
I understand the 9:00 girl. I own some Sora no otoshimono mangas and even an Ikarus action figure. It's definitely an underrated anime/manga plus it's very funny.
The manga is 1000x better than the anime though.
Same thing with Rosario Vampire, the anime is terrible vs the manga
That guy who has ranking of kings as underrated has some very relic tastes I’ve never heard those animes and I’m for sure going to check em out after this
Ranking of Kings is underrated for sure. It was great. The most underrated imo is Eighty-Six, it’s a masterpiece.
@@noahg4083 ah 86 the feels and the build up to that ending was soo great
@@miletfan4363 It blew me away on those last few episodes.
I'm sure you'll love it, Try Re:zero as well, Not just for Rem and Emilia but for the Larger plot.
@@miletfan4363 I know man.
The guy who said Ousama ranking!!! YOU HAVE SUCH A GOOD TASTEEEEEEEEEE
Underrated is the Japanese version of Moomin. That's childhood along with Shin-chan and Doraemon.
Galaxy 999 too, but when I was a little older. Such a good series.
Takashi you should ask what music are you listening to tokyo edition
An underrated anime that I wish was licensed in the US is Major. For some reason the sequel series is (Major 2nd), but the original series and OVA aren't. There's lots of baseball anime out there, but Major is by far the best. I love how it focuses on a single character's journey from Little League all the way up to achieving his dream of becoming a player in the Major Leagues. I also like that the main character isn't always successful and has realistic setbacks such as injuries, and eligibility when he gets to the high school level of baseball.
12:54 code geass mentioned 🔥
death note better
@@LeandroXronaldo_Siuu nuh uh
Code geass was great. Death note was also amazing but once L died it was a bit meh
@@AvoidTheCadaver on the other hand code geass got boring after the third season
@@LeandroXronaldo_Siuubut code Geass doesn't have a 3rd season 😅
Thank you for the videos this will help me to learn japanese keep the hard work!!
You've got my love girl for talking about Made in Abyss. Its so good.
What, wait… she said Natsume Yuujinchou! I am so happy my favorite anime is mentioned! ❤
yeah!!! one of my favorites as well
I love your videos Takashi
Damn...the haikyuu supremacy ❣️... And also the frieza guy was full of curveballs🤣🤣
0:52 Fairy Tail mentioned
Demon Slayer junk but fairy tales is good? Demon slayers topic is too simplistic but yet fairy tales is okay this is absolutely hilarious!!!!😂😂😂😂
@@hawaiiangunner FT final arc was trashed but 100 year quest definitely compensated that. The only thing FT lacking now is animation. Just like black clover.
Finally someone who watched fairy tail😭😭😭
Awesome video as always Takashii. My favorite anime and manga is Initial D.
Demon slayer is not famous for it's story but instead the animation quality and fight scene choreography is just top notch.
Totally agree but i still love the story tho....omg if u haven't watched the latest episode yet then u better do watch it...gosh i cried so hard and the animation damn i got goosebumps
But I love because of story thooo I didn't usually like to watch fighting anime I mostly used to watch rom com but Demon Slayer was really popular everyone say's it's good but when I saw the anime literally the story hooked me .
@@mimangshagautam3634 me too, but i was really mesmerised by its astounding animation...I've been an anime lover since i was a kid, watched thousands of anime and i must say this was the first anime that has magnificent animation....really top notch..❣️❣️❣️
still overrated for what it is. dont get e wrong i am still watching but god damn that story/character development are so mid. only thing keepiing me watching is animation so they better dont fuck it up in the upcoming movies.
Watched it, can't get past and finished episode 1....it's just remind me of kekaishi too much, that's why I feel like it's quite similar but with minor tweaks here and there
In all these anime videos on this channel, I'm still holding on to my dream of someone finally mentioning Monogatari Series. One day!
I do love them but not the best in the field, we're in for the storyline which was failed by the series but the anime has one of the greatest Fanservice ever(Not too much just at the perfect amount).
i will watch the series and when takashi interviews me when im in japan i'll talk about it hopefully
The girl in purple shirt is Shimotsuki Mea
🙂👍
she is cute as fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck
Glad to see that someone else noticed!
Mine is One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, Fate Stay Night Fate Zero, Slam Dunk, Kuroko no Basket, Your Name, Weathering with You Suzume no Tojimari, Dragon Ball Z + Super, Oshi No Ko, Death Note, City Hunter: Angel Dust, Fullmetal Alchemist, Detective Conan, Code Geass, Ano Hana, Nodame Cantabile, Clannad, Shuffle, Hunter X Hunter, Violet Evergarden, Yu Yu Hakusho, Steins Gate
Fairy Tail was the anime that got my into anime so I love when other people have a good experience with it like I did.
Death note!
I really enjoyed it at first but at one point, it felt like the writers were forcing events with poorly written reasons.
Demon Slayer and JJK are definitely the right answers. JJK especially is way too overhyped for how poorly written it is.
True
How does JJK compare to bleach story wise?
@@funglip its better, but thats only because bleach is THAT bad.
JJK is a solid entry level anime. Visually appealing, enough likable characters, some good fight sequences, and enough emotional deaths. Where it ranks amongst other anime is obviously subjective but for first time watchers it's easy to digest and get in to anime from there.
JJK sn I was good at best and made people hooked once 0 came out but honestly Mappa messed up sn 2 badly the only good thing was the hidden inventory but shibuya was not pleasing at all
1:47 Bro said Aot is too long and he's favourite anime is one piece 😂
Haha make sense
nah that guy is a clown, he got forced to watching aot and didn't get in to it and while watching, tries to. figure out foreshadowing, just watch and relax forget about all the opinions of people telling u its too complicated
bro is prob tryna fit in w/ ppl
Ikr kinda hypocritical 😂😂
I kinda understand this... so you had over 20 years now to watch one piece... and it get better and better every ark. forshadowing from 10 years ago finaly gets revealed and all that easy and enjoyable to follow.
Otherside AOT very dark alot of complicated plot lines... and I felt nothing when the last seaon came out.... When the last one piece ark is done oh boy....I will watch that over and over again.
I personally love Pandora Hearts and Dead Mount Death Play😍😍😍 For someone who has read both the manga and watched the anime, I can say both are such underrated stories😭
"Plastic Memories"
me: I see... she is a woman of culture
Believe it or not Dragon Ball is the G.O.A.T ❤🔥
My Top 3 animes
3. AOT
2. Naruto
1. Dragon Ball 🔥
Natsume mentioned 🥰🥰🥰
4:20 I love this anime, surprised it was mentioned
Blue Lock being named as underrated is so real (ok it isn't THAT nugu, but only in comparison to other sports anime like Haikyuu, Kurokou and Slam Dunk). I like how that one guy mentioned it focuses on personal growth much more when other sports anime focuses a lot on friendships and teamwork. In particular, the perspective of Greed and selfishness was very nuanced.
9:07 Damn it. I wasn't even ready HAHAHAHA
Most of the people interviewed weren't even born when that came out.
@@CHiZZoPs27 So? I’m wayyyy younger than them but I’ve watched it?
Nope the silk scroll of Samurai Champloo is right in front of me next to my TV . No one said Trigun or FLCL either.
@@alpacafish1269 I sort of forced my niece and nephew to watch it and they are 2 decades younger. They hadn't heard of it before I mentioned it.

The blonde woman at the beginning almost mirrors perfectly my thoughts about all of those anime. That’s crazy
