Stevie is able to play with the texture of her voice. She starts the song with a vulnerable sounding raspy whisper to counteract the strength she shows in the chorus as a call out to fight .
Hi Lovely, lifelong Stevie fan here based in the West Midlands...Mother has spoken and the season of the witches are back. The voice change was deliberate, yes it was ethereal to articulate meek little women being put in their place, and then the chorus is stronger, as its a rallying cry for all the voiceless women around the world and yes Wade v Roe plays a part. It is also about the autonomy of women on a larger scale. I have met Stevie too, so the change in voice was deliberate. `It was also so refreshing to see you, a man, do an unbiased reaction to it. So pleased you enjoyed it. My favourite Stevie song is the Forest of the Black Roses a haunting unreleased song, but it's on you tube and you don't get more ethereal than that, and hope you are able to have a listen to it. ...and on my final note, the women of the UK stand strong with women around the world, and especially in the USA come Nov 5th, despite the fact we are across the pond, know we will be with you in spirit. Thanks again for the review, you have a new fan!!
I believe the song is a representation of the true authentic way woman feel when they are not valued and cherished. The weakness in her voice is for the rights of the babies. The scars woman have to face are real.
Classic rock music began with political protest songs for change. For example, Bob Dylan and even The Beatles. The message was interpreted by youth in the 1960's to advocate Civil Rights and personal Freedom. It was felt also in the 1970's with the Women's Rights Movement. Creativity and positive changes have lessened each decade for the last 50 years. This can be seen in politics, film and music. This song is a return to when music was more relevant and reflected positive creativity. Civil Rights, Women's Rights, Gay Rights are just Human Rights. A fight for one is a fight for ALL. Voice Matters!
This Song is a ... Mission! An Anthem! The forces of darkness, wrapped in the flag, and carrying a cross, this 2000 year old book club is wagging war on women! And for the Christians who lost the way, know, if you think you know your book, The Kingdom of Heaven will Never take place on Earth! It's in Heaven, for those who live in grace, mercy and love, not the judgement and hatred these false prophets project! Christians are the ones who are most likely to be deceived... And most likely to find themselves in Your Hell. Time to get your heart and actions right!
Stevie has amazing solo work….Edge of Seventeen LIVE 1981. She also did another political anthem a few years back call SHOW THEM THE WAY. Stand Back, NIGHTBIRD, Leather and Lace, Stop Dragging My Heart Around.
Okay, this is NOT a criticism of you. That said, I've now watched several reactions to this track, and I am noticing a distinct difference in the response of male and female reactors. The men (and boys) are commenting on her performance, the music, the composition, the video, her voice, her age (wow she's still going at 74) etc., and some are, at best, making generalized remarks such as 'sure, of course, we all support equality' (without really engaging with the specificity of the issues and lyrics): Whereas the women reactors, who have a tangible, personal, physical and historical stake in this, are emotional, deeply moved, energized and inspired by Stevie's message, which is both a protest and an anthem, and this demands some level of visceral engagement. To those men who are genuine allies, good for you 👍, and please step up! (I'm concerned about the growing bro/man-sphere).

I love your reaction. I am an American. I am American male. A real man is a feminist. Thank you for posting this.
@@PetieSabala a real man is not a feminist. A real man would stand up to men in women's sports and spaces
THANK YOU!!!!
I love it when stevie nicks gets mad , much like show them the way video, she is not having it. I love this and your reaction 😊😊
Her musical genius isn't ever in reaction or question. It's obviously brilliant. It's her message she whispers and roars at this crucial time 💙
Loved the review. And yes, this is an important song. i hope people here in the USA wake up.

and “edge of seventeen” live in Chicago?
Will you react to “Show them the way” by Stevie nicks?
That’s Sheryl Crowe with backing vocals.
Is it?
@@NolanWinter-ct8bh yes
Definitely Lori Perry Nicks did backing vocals also.
How about not interrupting the song as much as you do and pooling your thoughts together with less interrupting.
