I run a refrigerator in my Gladiator and I always had the issue of coming back to a dead battery if the rig sat for more than a day. Since I installed this dual battery system using two Full Throttle AGM batteries I've not had any more dead battery issues. I just completed my first big test on the system. I just completed a four day trip in Death Valley and then drove straight to the SEMA Show in Las Vegas for the week. My refrigerator stayed cold (35 degrees F) the entire trip and I never suffered a dead battery episode even while the Jeep mainly sat parked in the hotel lot for up to two days between starts. It has really cured my battery anxiety.
Wow! Thanks for the quick response! I enjoyed the install video but now need to look under the hood of my 2007 JKU Rubicon. I suspect some of your install vs. mine will be different. I really like the functionality of the design. 👍🏻
You make it look a lot easier than it actually is . . . Such things like aftermarket fenders and or hood struts make it a much tighter squeeze. But it does fit after some shoe horning. I'll get mine finished up tomorrow
After starting the engine, our system links the batteries together within a minute or so, and then they work like one large battery, so both of them will power the vehicle when the engine stops at a red light, and both will crank the engine when it restarts at a red light.
Great battery system. I need to upgrade for the GEN3. We are running the yellow top Optima with our. so i need to save up to upgrade both batteries also. Can i use the same G-Screen also?
If you already have a G Screen and want to use it with our Gen 3 kit, we can upgrade it for you so it's compatible. You can see more details on the upgrade at this link - www.genesisoffroad.com/firmware-update
@@richardwald5259 hilarious, you have no idea of what you’re talking about. Optima regularly rates as one of the best batteries you can buy and they are super tough at resisting vibration.
Looks to be poorly engineered. The evap solenoid with the rubber hose and clamps is jerry rigged. Having to cut the air box mounts is cheesy. It should have all been integrated into one piece. Having to cut the studs on the firewall is ridiculous as well.

@@40lowgear that’s awesome! We love hearing these stories! 😎
While doing this upgrade, change out the spark plugs as well.
Gen 3 looks so nice and clean, love the bus bars!
Thank you!
Can we get two H7 80ah a piece batteries to fit with some modifying?
Genesis system looks great. Can you use the AGM34 Costco batteries?
Yes

I'm having trouble getting the mounting holes lined up on my 2008 2-door JK. Any advice?
Where did you connect the power steps didn't see them reconnected.
I have power steps and am going to install this kit next week.
Connect them to the bus bars. That way they will run from the second battery and won’t drain your cranking battery.
Would love to see some stuff for Rams even the older 2nd gens as they are becoming overland vehicles
Thanks!
Just about to buy dual battery system but why is the G-Sceen so expensive there's not much to it. Is there any discounts out there. 😂
Yes our Black Friday sale just started today through Cyber Monday only! Jump on it!
Where can I find those battery connectors?
Not sure what you mean by battery connectors?
@@GenesisOffroad End of the cables connected/clamped to yhe battery.
After this is installed what runs the electronics if start stop is not disabled?

Is this guy an aircraft avionics technician on the side? Installs looking clean.
Not avionics, but Shane spent 20 years as an IT Systems Engineer.
I like how you cut away to younger you :) Good looking holder. It looks very well made.
Awesome video
any recommended dealer/installer, I wanna get it done in one place

Love it, but sad that it doesn’t work with optima batteries. Can’t spend $450 only to have to spend another $500 on new batteries.
Optima battery's are junk.
@@richardwald5259 ok. Mine have been flawless for years. Not doubt you have bad experiences with them.

Very nice.
Great video. The Dual Battery set up works perfectly.
Thanks Mike!
Its a nice kit, but wow, I think cost way too much, then you add the batteries in, it will cost you more than a 1000 dollars, just wow.

I guess you don't do to many aftermarket add-ons . . .
@@jimfarmer7193 Not generic crappy ones.
@@vegasfordguyfacts same here, definitely a no go
Ford guy you don't have to cut the studs just push them into the side of your battery . No prob
Hey Ford guy let's see if you can come up with something better
Great system. But a little pricey for a d tray.
Thanks to inflation the price of every single component in the kit has gone way up.
